“I stopped in there for a beer and unfortunately I didn't catch the crowd on this occasion. Wasn't their fault apparently I missed the crowd. But I think I did show up like Sunday after a funeral... Yeah, life.. anyway, I thought it was nice just wish I met some of the people. I love people!“

“Everything was great! Food was fantastic and it was very comfortable to hangout at. Our server was very nice but goofy, messed up a couple times. We don’t know if he was new, if it was because it was busy because it was very busy or if he was going through some personal stuff… BUT he didn’t make excuses like “you ordered this” or “someone else messed up”, he simply apologized and immediately fixed the issue, which we greatly appreciate! I hate when the server blames someone else or whatever, to me it doesn’t matter, just fix it! He had us giggling the whole time, even though he was making mistakes! Will definitely be going back very soon!“

During a recent visit, a live singing group added a festive touch, infusing the space with genuine Christmas cheer without overwhelming the intimate atmosphere. While we have not yet sampled the food, dishes arriving at neighboring tables are beautifully presented and look enticing, suggesting the bar program is thoughtfully complemented by the kitchen. Taylor’s on Toft is a standout in Antioch: a place defined by gracious hospitality, expertly made cocktails, and an atmosphere that invites return visits. Highly recommended.“

“There is nothing about this place I don't recommend. The meads are amazing, their Cocktail Master is amazing at coming up with unusual combinations, and is great fun to talk to. The music mix is great as well (but possibly because I'm old 😁)! Overall, the place is extremely welcoming, with a selection of games and sofas so you can sit and enjoy your drinks and socialize.“

“Chicken strips were crunchy and juicy cooked to absolute perfection. I also ordered fries with cheese sauce and got an extra order for free with an order a wings . Was probably a mistake and I hope the other people that ordered them got theirs too because it’s freaking amazing. I could bath in this cheese sauce. If I had teeth I’d use it as tooth paste. 10/10 would recommend.“

“I totally enjoy the skill of all the wait staff, their ability to inform, enjoy conversation, and do the run down on what the band is like. Owners Tom & Karen are gregarious, fun, interesting people and provide GREAT talented local musicians. The music scene in Wauconda, Illinois is 10 out of ten...bar hopping encouraged. French Martini with Chambourg, an 11 and one drink, my limit...usually. Dancing...FUN! Especially when Karen agrees. Lol. And occasionally, or perhaps too often singing back up to Motown song fulfills my fantasy to be a Temptation, a Top, Little Stevie Wonder, or Marvin Gaye & Tammy Terrell. And yes, the Jackson 5. But there's no mountain higher than backup to a Supremes song, except for a Diana song, or Tina is Simply The Best! But Diana's he PEAK, & so is STRAWBERRY MOON. CHECK IT OUT. “We love Steve's! Steve and Rita are the best, and so is the bartender Liz! It's one of our favorite places to hang out and play some darts. The backyard in the summer is beautiful, your surrounded by flowers, with a beautiful wooden swing and volleyball court. Definitely should check it out.“

“We had the use of Bliss from 1-5 on a Saturday when they are normally closed.
We hosted a birthday party with 45 people attending, had it catered locally, and hired a 3 piece band playing amplified acoustic music. Owner Alex bartended and did a wonderful job. It’s a lovely and comfortable old building in a great location with an owner that has his head in a very good place. We give it an 11 out of 10. Thanks again Alex.“

“What a pleasant change from all the chain restaurants. The owner is someone who loves what he does, takes time to visit your table, and serves recipes handed down from his grandmother and mother. The food is prepared using the freshest of ingredients. The noise level enabled us to easily carry on a conversation. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.“

“I love dive bars. Hilltop is perfect in my opinion. Cheap drinks, Great service and low lighting. Is there anything else we need for a good dive? It doesn't smell funky, which is hard to find in the area . Great place to play pool or gamble on your evening out.“

“We recently had a celebration of life party. The place was perfect large windows looking out to the water. The staff especially Max was such a great help in making sure the place was set up to our liking. We had so many people say how nice the place was and they never knew it was there. Definitely a hidden treasure. Would definitely recommend for your next party.“

“Very clean place, no frills neighborhood bar.
The place needs to at least have a sign that says firehouse! It just looks like a plain white house, my friends have had a hard time trying to find it.
At least paint a "Firehouse with fire trucks" or even better do huge flames 🔥 to make it stand out. It always looks like it is closed, empty and uninviting.“

“Stayed there in Summer 2022. Very clean, and even though our room was near the bar we did not have trouble sleeping. Gorgeous sunrise views. We did not get the email with the code so could not check in at check in time, so we had to wait an hour or 2. Not a huge deal. The bigger deal was the neighbor with the F… Biden sign (in her front yard) coming onto the property making guests uncomfortable.“

This is a family of different personalities- 6 gaming machines-- Friday night pool games- yes we may be "ran down" compared to some but we make up for our cosmetic shortcomings with spicy and unique bartenders and regulars! “The Port is one of the best more relaxed restaurant/bars on the water. The staff is so welcoming and knowledgeable. A perfect vibe any night with live bands, DJs, and a touch tunes jukebox where you can play your own music. Tons of events during peak season, coinciding with the Island, and the Port even does Halloween and Christmas themed events. I’d love to hold my own event here one day.“
