“My wife and I have become a little picky with our restaurant selection but this place was great and the food was fresh, it has fancy atmosphere with decent pricing. We have come a couple of times with my wife for their lunch specials and they are the best. Pricing is very fair for what you get. We had the 2 sushi roll option and I had the Chicken pad Thai which was great. The server was a little serious and dry but it's been great every time.

Otherwise, everything else is top quality! “We have a typical sushi restaurant that we go to up in Gurnee but last night we decided to try somewhere new which was Umai Sushi. What a pleasant surprise! The place is big, they have a really cool circular bar when you first walk in, and a self serve salad and miso soup bar. Not to mention the cocktails are AWESOME! The absolute best part though was the sushi boat for 2 we got was incredible! The sashimi pieces were thick and the salmon was so buttery and melted in your mouth. The nigiri pieces were massive! I highly recommend coming here, you won’t be disappointed!“

“No Wake continues to be a favorite spot of ours. We are always sat quickly, and the service is super friendly. Location is great on the Fox River, and the food is great too! Menu is large with plenty of options for everyone. We have tried multiple appetizers and sandwiches/wraps and enjoyed them all. My husband is a huge fan of the burger which you can tell is made with fresh quality meat. Plenty of seating options inside but we especially enjoy the patio. Bonus points for allowing your pup outside and their own doggy menu is a cute touch.“

For example, a simple Julianne salad with ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese would be a nice change. Cook would not substitute for chicken. If they have all the fixings, I don't see why they can't make more salad options.“

I always got the tteokbokki (rice cakes in spicy broth) and alternated between the bulgogi (beef dish) & bibimbap (assorted veg, beef, + egg over rice) and occasional splurged with the ojinguh bokkum (calamari dish) or the chapchae (cellophane noodles which are clear & chewy). The tteokbokki + one dinner dish typically ran me about $31.30 and fed me for close to 2 meals, side dishes were free
