I never have enough room for dessert, but their list looks wonderful. Last night we stopped for dinner. I had liver and onions. “My wife was looking for a tea room in the Peoria area. In her search, the Emerald Tea Room came up. It was conveniently located in East Peoria near a few antique shops. It is open from 11 am to 2 pm Tuesday through Saturday. All of the food is made in house. The soups were excellent, great sandwiches, bread and desserts. It is family owned. The service was delightful.“

One tip, if you are particular about the exact done-ness of your steak, order it one level less than what you actually want. A "medium" is usually served as a "medium well" and a "medium well" comes to the table "well done".“
