“This is not even a hole in the wall barbecue joint, but a pull-up get your food parked get out and eat in the areas they provide if you want to barbecue joint and I'm telling you now, you're going to be hard-pressed to find much better in the area. Every time I'm in Harrisburg, I stop and get a barbecue at Johnson's. Ask for the spicy, it won't let you on fire, but boy does it taste amazing. Highly recommended. Tell them the ice cream truck driver sent you.“
“Holy cow, or should I say pork butt. Stopped in on the way to the Garden of the Gods for a day hike and had the best pulled pork sandwich on this side of the Ohio river. I had onion rings for a side and coconut cream pie for desert. The waitresses were very professional and the price reasonable. After COVID it's hard to find great service like that. The little barn will now be a point of destination instead of just on a whim.“

“This is a take out bbq stand. We had the pork sandwich, which was chopped fresh. The size was average for $6.00. They close at 3, we were there about 2:40 and they were out of sides. The sandwich quality was very good, smoky & tender. Stand is cash only. Choice of several bbq sauces.“
