9 Best Barbeque Restaurants near Grand Rivers

“I have already posted on Higgins Meats and Eats. I stopped by there again today Feb. 22nd. This is the 3rd time I have stopped in to get a bite to eat.I had the special hamburger steak, mashed potatoes, collard greens and a homemade roll with a half and half tea. The taste of the food was amazing! I drive a semi truck for a living and there are a couple spots for me to park. I am sure by summer time that people will be stopping in and trying it out. It's in between the rivers and both lakes, so there is always something to check out in the area, then when you are done stop by Hoggins and get a bite to eat!Oh and you can also get a meat bundle to take home! So stop on by and give this place a try!“

“This place is OUTSTANDING! My mom and I were driving to Nashville from St. Louis, I saw a picture of the food online the day before and wanted to try it. The sauces are amazing and everything was delicious!My mom broke her toe the night before and mentioned wanting to get ice to go when we first sat down. The waitress was so lovely she brought an ice bag out right away. We couldn't have been happier with the food or the service. Will definitely be back!“

“My wife and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at T. Lawsons 2/23/2024. As always we had a Great time. Food and drinks were excellent along with conversations with Z., Mary Beth and Jody the piano player. So much fun! Our anniversary was even acknowledged to everyone! Thanks for making our special night even better.“

“Upon arriving we were greeted and instructed to pick our own seat. The restaurant has a local vibe to it. Our server catered to our needs, especially in keeping our drinks refilled. The burgers, fries, okra, onion rings, & cheese quesadilla were all fresh and yummy. The owner we briefly spoke with as we were leaving was warm and personable as well. Thank you for this pleasant experience.“

“We are from Utah, stopped here on our way to Georgia for a bite to eat. Everything was so wonderful, we were greeted with warm smiles and the food was so yummy. My daughter even knocked over a drink and they were immediately helping us clean it up and telling us it wasn't a big deal. Definitely come eat here (:“

“Great food, good service, the only thing I could fault (the age of the building) has more to do with the fact the restaurant has outgrown its current building. The BBQ sandwich was outstanding with the vinegar coleslaw. The staff was friendly and always talking with you (regardless if they knew you). I was treat as though I ate there daily even though it was my first time.“

“Brisket is pre-chopped so asking for lean isn't really an option. Meat is moist with no sign of a smoke ring or bark. Two kinds of sauce - Hot & Mild. Potato Salad is ok. My pref is little mustard and some celery for little crunch. Staff is Great!Food is acceptable but unfortunately not memorable.“

“I love this place very quick and friendly service. Good atmosphere the amount of sides is amazing and although I have not tried them all yet I though most of the menu and have not been disappointed at all. My favorites are the greens and white beans. Wonderful BBQ plates and the meat loaf is a must.“

“I have had dinners here three times over the past ten months. Close to interstate and easy access. The quality and flavor of food was very good, and service was always prompt. First meal was the mahi mahi and the fish and sides exceeded my expectations. Since then I've stopped in and ordered salmon and chicken and I was not disappointed.“
