“We pass this place plenty of times, when we went for tacos around the corner of it. Decided to stop in to give it a try. This is our new taco place! Steak, Pastor, Cecina and chorizo tacos are delicious! Carnitas they sometimes have on Sunday are the bomb. Pozole is delicious. Can't forget the nachos w/steak louded, couldn't wait until I got home, munched on them the whole way home.“

“Surprisingly for a hidden taco joint in a gas station, it’s great. I’ve had the tacos, burritos, and torta. The el pastor burrito is delicious! Their burrito tortilla is not like those thin stretchy flour tortillas, it’s great for burritos. The steak, lengua, and el pastor tacos are good too! The carnita taco is okay, not the best but it’s good. The torta is one of my go to’s. It can be a bit pricy but I think it’s worth it if you have the money to spend lol.“

“This restaurants food was great. I tried the Alambre Tacos (Asada, Chorizo, Tocino, Cebolla Y Chile) for the first time and they were excellent. I would get them with more tortillas next time but either way they tasted great. The meat was well cooked and seasoned. Their green and red sauce are also very excellent. I also tried the steak burrito and it was very good. I especially like the amount of cilantro they used. I also had the Horchata and it was some of the best I've had. The service was also really good and the workers were very nice.“

“This place has amazing tacos de carnitas !!!! The meat was so tender and juicy. No fat on the tacos I had. It’s a 20 min drive from my house in Gary but man it’s worth the drive. I highly recommend. I had 2 tacos de carnitas 1 asada 1 apastor and 1 large agua de Jamaica. Total was $18“

“Just had their steak (carne asada) tacos! Absolutely fantastic! The green salsa is on point! Very generous on the size of their tacos. I'm extremely picky when it comes to getting tacos in fact I only like my tacos from one or two taco places in all of Chicago. If you want to try the best Cabeza tacos of your life, you have to come to Tacos el Diablo. Located inside the Village of Robbins - open air market, a little of everything in one place. One of my co-workers recommended me to come here for tacos, but little did i know i'll be coming here often. For the last couple of months I've tried all different kinds of tacos on the menu. but the one thing i just cant get enough are the Tacos de Cabeza. I just cant wrap my head around how the meat is so delicious, tasty, and tender and packed with so much flavor. Every-time I come here, I come for one simple reason... to give my taste buds the bet experience in the world and to have the most mouthwatering tacos of my life. I would recommend Tacos el Diablo to everyone, if you are around the area of Blue Island the p is not too far for the best experience of your life. “We ended up at this place by chance with 6 of us, ranging from teens to a grandma. All of us loved it. The tacos were really delicious. Grandma felt that the guacamole was too salty so the owner came out and apologized, made her a fresh batch to her liking AND removed it from the bill. Both food and service were top notch. The atmosphere was super fun and lively too.“

“A treasure to try! Never heard of this place and unfortunately missed it all these years. This restaurant has been around for over 70 years on Chicago and 2 years in this location.
Great tacos! The shells were nice with a buttery taste to them. The mear was tender and plenty ingredients in the tacos. The wait wasn't long for the food.

The owner was helpful with our order and telling us about the family business as well as what tacos might suit us. He has a jerk chicken taco but it's not foe the weak taste buds person. You're not going to run down the street like Richard Pryor on fire but you probably will run for a drink to cool your mouth down.

The fries were tasty. They put slices of cheese and melt it on the grill on top. I haven't had them that way since childhood.

The lemonades and teas are a must. A Variety of flavors for everyone.

“I love supporting family owned businesses. Love that this is an option in the area late nights as there’s not many food options nearby. The chicken quesadilla is my favorite and I love how juicy it is!

“Dined in at around 6pm on a Friday and there was nobody eating at the establishment until after we arrived. Lots of street parking, place is clean, and staff was welcoming. They also have a patio which we didn’t choose to eat in because it was too hot out.
Our order was not that big and it did take a good while to come out but they give you chips and a little salsa flight to eat while you wait. I enjoyed all three salsas.
Aguas frescas—both the horchata and the jamaica one— were delicious and refreshing.
Food had good presentation although I wish they gave cucumber slices instead of radishes to make it the true Tijuana taco experience.
Guac on the tacos was skimpy and a little salty but overall enjoyed and will be back!
We paid around $50 for two people.“
