Got a Kiwi and Jamun (Java Plum, “Njaaval Pazham”) juice.
The Jamun juice was really good and tasted natural. I got it for nostalgia sake and was worth it.
The Kiwi on the other hand wasnt that great.

“Visiting from Columbus OH, my family and I stopped here as it’s a family go to at home and fits into our plant based (vegan) lifestyle. We had a pleasant experience with the customer service and atmosphere. Jack was very welcoming and handled our rather large order with ease and speed. We had 3 smoothies, 2 avocado toast and one oatmeal bowl. Only critique I have is the oatmeal was slightly more watery than I’m used to. Anthony the owner stopped in during our stay and witness the praise I gave Jack. Clean and well kept. I hope our 2 littles didn’t cause too much a ruckus 😊“

“I go to this location quiet often, but I was extremely disappointed as well as angry with what I saw today at this location. (3/9/25 at 5:35pm) The 3 customers that were ahead of me placed their orders were first timers I found out. The young lady that was fixing their smoothies dropped a cup on the floor, picked the cup up from the floor then sat the cup to the side. As she finished one smoothie she pulled a fresh cup, then the 2nd smoothie she proceeded to pour it in the cup that she picked up off the floor. I told the young lady that took my order, so she then pulled the young to the side to tell her that I saw what she did then she looks at me and says "I'm Sorry" (I said to her): What do mean you are sorry, why would you do that, and why are you giving that to her, you need to remake that smoothie ...and guess what she did not. I'm just want to make people aware: Watch the people that prepare your sandwiches/smoothies or anything of that sort. It's not their stuff, they're not paying for it so they don't care. That was just the epitome of nasty and extremely unsanitary. She didn't have on a Tropical Cafe shirt, she had on a gray shirt, she may have been new, I'm not sure but we need to learn to do better when working with the public. Don't do things to people that you don't want done to you!!!!! FYI...the name on the ticket was: Shelia G“

“Delicious food, excellent service, noisy outside (not Brother’s fault) but inside looked crowded and not as bright on this beautiful day.

Chicken and chorizo skillet was our favorite; thanks to the waitress who recommended we order the skillet version (instead of omelette version). The hash browns at the bottom had a nice crisp, and the dish itself had nice flavor - especially with the red hot sauce.

The steak fajita omelette was also good but humongous, so I didn’t even come close to finishing it (especially since I added a side of bacon).

Heads up: the cappuccino came with a sweet foam on top. Husband’s coffee was constantly refilled.

Service was friendly and attentive even though we were the only ones eating outside.

We were only visiting Chicago but would return to this restaurant. It feels like a local place (ChatGPT helped us find this gem, but I wrote this review myself :)“

Her name was Sarah B, bowls are absolutely delicious, beautifully made, good amount of extra Nutella, the açaí is a nice frozen smoothly flavor, the smoothie I had was fresh and filled with the right quantity and nicely blended. However, they are also consistently out of one or more empanada flavors, so I wish they had a method of showing an accurate menu instead of having to come and tell me that I have to choose a new flavor 5 minutes after paying. “I was put on a liquid diet for four months now after an accident with my pups. This place saved me by having fantastic smoothies that serve as a meal. After they tell me I can eat again, I have a feeling the smoothies will stay. They are that good but their food items look fantastic as well. Nick, Nada Giselle and the other staff are an example of what great service is. You won’t go wrong by walking through their door.“

The no tuna toastie came on a crunchy slice of toast, garnished with grape tomatoes and microgreens. It had the right amount of filling to bread in my opinion. Finally the tiramisu was light but sturdy with a nice bottom crust. My least favorite item was the praline, but mostly because it had a softer texture than what I was expecting.
