“Surprisingly for a hidden taco joint in a gas station, it’s great. I’ve had the tacos, burritos, and torta. The el pastor burrito is delicious! Their burrito tortilla is not like those thin stretchy flour tortillas, it’s great for burritos. The steak, lengua, and el pastor tacos are good too! The carnita taco is okay, not the best but it’s good. The torta is one of my go to’s. It can be a bit pricy but I think it’s worth it if you have the money to spend lol.“

“This place has amazing tacos de carnitas !!!! The meat was so tender and juicy. No fat on the tacos I had. It’s a 20 min drive from my house in Gary but man it’s worth the drive. I highly recommend. I had 2 tacos de carnitas 1 asada 1 apastor and 1 large agua de Jamaica. Total was $18“

“Just had their steak (carne asada) tacos! Absolutely fantastic! The green salsa is on point! Very generous on the size of their tacos. I'm extremely picky when it comes to getting tacos in fact I only like my tacos from one or two taco places in all of Chicago. This is my first time coming here and this spot just got added to my small list. I will most definitely stop by this place whenever I'm around this area. Thank you for the great food! “The food! OMG The Food!
I was out visiting a friend and discovered this place. When I walked in and saw the hot (spicy) vegetables I wanted to start eating them while waiting on my to go order. When I opened up that container I felt like I struck gold! The food was delicious and the onion bulb was a great touch. A real portion of food. I definitely got my moneys worth. I live 30 minutes away and will be driving over there when I want a taste of Mexico.

“We ended up at this place by chance with 6 of us, ranging from teens to a grandma. All of us loved it. The tacos were really delicious. Grandma felt that the guacamole was too salty so the owner came out and apologized, made her a fresh batch to her liking AND removed it from the bill. Both food and service were top notch. The atmosphere was super fun and lively too.“

“This was my 2nd time at Casa de Tacos y Tequila. I ordered the birria torta with rice and beans. Their birria is made with lamb, and is flavorful and tender. I really enjoyed it. The sides I had, in my opinion, were mediocre. We went during Happy Hour showcasing $5 margaritas and 2 for $4 tacos. Margaritas were great, and my friends enjoyed the tacos! I'd return!“

“I love supporting family owned businesses. Love that this is an option in the area late nights as there’s not many food options nearby. The chicken quesadilla is my favorite and I love how juicy it is!

“Best Jerk Chicken I've had, the food is beyond amazing and delicious and their customer service is excellent. Someone greets you when you come in to order or pick up your food. Everything from the Jerk chicken , Jerk chicken Alfredo and all the side dishes are delicious. “I got the taco dinner and the nacho fries. First, the size of the taco dinner is actually really good for the price. I got double rice and no beans because I’m not a fan of refried beans. The nacho fries were HEFTY. I picked up the container and HOLY MOLY! It was A LOT of food! Definitely a great price! Will be ordering again!“

“People's tacos in hazel crest was great enjoyed the tacos will go out there again support people's tacos to me reminds of the tacos my mom use to make and I have some home made butter cookies from people's tacos all I can say is give them a try“
