“Great place in downtown Lake Geneva! As someone who is not a big beer drinker, I appreciate the self-serve, pay-by-the-ounce setup that allows you to taste only as much as you want without being wasteful. I ate the turkey panini and it was so good our group kept talking about it several days later. I live out-of-state but will definitely return whenever I visit the Lake Geneva area again!“
“My significant other and I sure had a blast playing bowling. The bar located right inside sure makes it great. The drinks are phenomenal and I cannot wait to go back for a rematch on the game but more specifically for the drinks. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere was great. Everyone there is so kind.“

“Just dropped by for some lunch for the first time and had their famous beef sandwich. By far one of the best beef sandwiches I've had in a long time. Maybe even better than some I've had in Chicago. Everyone is very friendly and you can see they care about their location and the people they serve. Thank you for the amazing lunch and I'll definitely be coming back for more.“

“The BEST fish fry in the area. A hidden gem. Tracy's potato pancakes are the star but the walleye, cole slaw, and rye bread are great as well. Lots of friendly people around the bar too, which Penny ran beautifully. Get yourself in here.“

“Very much enjoyed our anniversary at The Getaway! Sat out on their beautiful deck. The calamari was superb, my husband loved his chicken Marsala and I really enjoyed the shrimp Diablo. Our waitress Denise was a pro and added to the great experience. We will be back!“

“I want to begin by saying that we love this place. BUT, the service and food were just horrible. My husband's wings were good but my nachos were terrible. The lack of beef was covered up with lettuce and triple helping of sour cream. I left hungry. We usually stay for more than 1 drink, but I had to get out of there due to a very miserable child screaming for its mother to pay attention to her. Just an overall unpleasant experience.“

“We ate at the BratHaus on Tuesday for lunch. The food and service was excellent and the owner, Jerry, was kind enough to listen to stories of my childhood, working in the hardware store that my great grandfather started back in the early 1900s. Was lucky enough to work for my grandpa there while in middle school. Great to see some of the original things that have been kept. We will be back next time we visit.“

“Stopped in for the Fish fry, had the cod. It was great, loved the potatoe pancakes! the portion was so generous, I couldn't finish it. The service was good and the owner took time to introduce himself and ask how things were. We will be back!“

“I have been going out to the bars for almost 10 years and Thumbs Up has always been the best in Lake Geneva. Sophia behind the bar serves great (and strong) drinks! She can brighten anyone's day! Definitely a 5 star manager :) If you ever wanna have a great time with some amazing Bartenders head to Thumbs!“

“We attended the Hypnotized event on Saturday and it was so much fun. The event space is large and the tables are well spaced so you don’t feel crowded. There are 2 bars and bathrooms. The food was better than expected given the size of the event. The band was great and there was room up front to dance…which we did the entire time. It was the perfect way to celebrate our birthdays! We highly recommend Pier 290.“
