“Very fancy food. Not what we normally go for, but we thought for a special occasion we'd try it out. We had escargot for an appetizer. It was really good. For entrees I had rack of lamb, my wife had a coffee and molasses encrusted filet, and my daughter enjoyed a New York strip. They were all prepared perfectly and tasted fantastic. We also indulged in desserts, cheesecake, lemon tart and creme brulee. They were also delightful. Our waiter Mike was very knowledgeable and helpful. If there was any downside to our experience it was the check. It was quite expensive. But sometimes it's okay to splurge a little!“
“My husband, son, and I ate here for my husband's birthday. We got the pub pretzel with beer cheese and the Buffalo cauliflower balls as appetizers. My husband had traditional buffalo wings and Philly cheesesteak, my son got the widowmaker, and I and I got the mechanic.The portions were huge, the burgers were hand made, not frozen. Onion rings were fresh and tender, not tough. Perfectly seasoned fries. “We ordered and came through the drive-thru the girl that took care of us was extremely nice. With our food they offered us free ice cream bars or a Mexican they're called paletas they seem like they're homemade and they're very very good the Mexican corn I got was very good the only reason I gave a four for the food was because my parents got the Carmen special and there wasn't very much chicken in it they would have liked to have some more chicken in it but they did say tasted really good and all the food we have is very good all in all a very good experience I highly recommend trying it. “We called ahead to get a table for our singles group for dinner. We usually have 15 to 20 people. When we arrived they greated us happily at the door. They already had bread baskets with butter waiting for us. They have delicious strawberry butter. They serve family style. The night we went They had fried chicken, fried fish and chicken and dumplings and all the sides. You could have coffee, tea, Lemonade or water included with your all you can eat dinner for $17.99. It took a little while to get our food, but they were very busy. When we got our food it was VERY good. They brought us plenty for our large group. They made sure they were VERY attentive to us and brought refills promptly. Definitely will go back!!! Note: They only have weekend hours.Vegetarian options: Green beans, corn, mash potatoes bread. “There were 3 of us. We were the only patrons for a while then another table came in. They had a buffet that evening with a salad bar. The food was very good. 2 kinds of meat, mashed potatoes, 2 kinds of gravy, green beans, corn, and salad bar. We had cobbler and pie for dessert.Usually when we go there, the place is busy. Price was very good. Breakfast is available all day.Parking: Parking lot just outside the door. “The location is rual but not far from Carbondale IL, home of Southern Illinois University. It's a winery adjacent to a Walker's Bluff Casino and hotel. It's a nice casual place with pub food as well as more expensive meals. The atmosphere leans more toward a pub venue. The food prices are reasonable, as are the wines. The tasting is $5 for 5 tastings. We had a nice time.“

“The office I work at frequents Riley's every few weeks. Today was nothing short of INCREDIBLE. All 3 of us ordered the cheeseburger lunch special, which includes a drink. Each meal was special ordered as we do not all love the same things. Everything came out perfect! We also ordered the lemon meringue cheesecake. If you have the chance to order this, PLEASE DO! “Went here for Valentines Day/my husband's birthday! Our waitress was very nice and thorough. They had a Valentine's Day dinner special. We shared spinach artichoke dip and chips. The spinach dip was okay. To me, more cheese would be nice and not so heavy on the spinach. My steak was very good. I ordered medium well, and it was not overcooked. I would have preferred the asparagus to be cooked a couple of minutes longer as it was a tad too crunchy for my liking. Overall, the food was good, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was comfortable.“
