“I placed an order to go. Was informed that there was a $3.00 to go charge and a gratuity would be added on the order cause it was over $100.00. After I checked the receipt, $18.35 was the gratuity. I thought it would be maybe $5.00. Very disappointed. Had I known this, I would have come into the restaurant and ate there had them provide me with service. I am a senior and that was definetly not right. I've already instructed my family not to get me gift card from Maple and Jam.“

“We love coming to have breakfast here on the weekends and usually have great service. Today, our server Arwa, the service was next-level. Despite having several tables she was attending to, she made sure to check in on us and make sure everything was to our liking.“

“We had a large group just before lunchtime on a Saturday, and they were great about squeezing us in. Our server D was amazing, truly, and the other staff were helpful and attentive, too. The food was delicious, hot, fast, priced affordably. They have a large menu. We had some special diets in our group and there were enough options for them to find what they needed. I had the sampler with oatmeal pancakes and they were delicious!!! My other options included the chicken avocado crepe and Mediterranean omelette. The coffee was good, it came to the table in its own thermal to stay hot. I highly recommend!!“

“I just recently started going there since last year. No negative reviews here. Every single experience has been great alongside with the food. When it’s your birthday, the staff sings to you. You pay what you get and it’s worth every penny. Keep up the great work Alexander’s!! “Excellent service and a really nice atmosphere, with plenty of good food choices, especially if you’re looking for healthier options. Two of us had breakfast along with lattes, and the total came to around $60 before tip, which feels pretty typical for inner city Chicago pricing.

“Great comfortable place to rest and eat a delicious meal. They will make whatever you like even if it's not on the menu. Whatever you order it's going to taste delicious!! Great friendly service and large portions of food. I am always taking leftovers home. My favorite is the double cheeseburger with everything. It includes grilled onions, delicious chilli and an egg on top. The egg is cooked the way you like it. I enjoy an over easy egg on top of my burger. OMG delicious!! They also have a gaming room in the back.“
