Great addition to our neighborhood!“
“I found this gem by chance. The food is beyond amazing, I had the fermented seafood pho. OMG!!! The flavors were so good, and nothing was overpowering. “Today (Sunday, 1/29), was my 3rd time here! Great visit! I ordered the Ultimate Ace Milk Tea; it was really good —loved its honey flavor and smooth milkiness! The previous times i came here—Saturday 1/21 and Sunday, 1/22---were both great, too! On Saturday, I had the Dragonball Tea; on Sunday, the Grapefruit Lychee Jelly Tea--I'd definitely order both again! I haven't been to a tea house in about 6 or 7 years when I used to make the schlep to Highland Park to Billy Corgan's tea house, Madame Zuzu's! Umbrella Tea House is, so far, the absolute best I've ever been to (closer to home, not as pricey, better ambience, younger/more interesting clientele)! The tea selection is huge and interesting, the ambience is hip and surreal (loved the beautiful, trippy, lit up enchanted forest decor inside, plus the small comfy couch seating in the back, along with all the anime figures on the counter...So very COOL!!! The employees who work here are professional, knowledgeable, and efficient! Last, the clientele here is young, diverse and very cool without any pretension--I hung out for 2 hours each visit, loving my awesomely flavorful, relaxing tea and digging the surreal, chilled out vibe of the place and the atom collider of Millennial/Gen Z-ers who flooded the place after I came in each time! You could people watch all day! The first time I came in, a young dude with a long denim dress came in! Today, 4 Pakistani dudes with long black beards in traditional gown-like outfits came in! It was all too cool to see such diversity in 1 spot each time! Definitely coming back a few million more times!!“

The price of this location versus other location seems to be on the lower side and it is greatly appreciated, because three dollars more makes a difference and I just would not buy it! They not only put together crush ingredients, but the presentation is always at its best. It did take a little time to get my order ready, which I wasn't expecting for a corn dog.There are many options to choose from. I ordered the combo with an Original Kong Dog. Holy moly that's a lot of fries! There was enough for three people. The fries were good, and the dog was alright but not great. Maybe I'll return one day try the potato dog next time. “I decided to come here since it was one of the places that closes late. We were the only customers when we walked in. Employee was friendly and she greeted us. Just to clarify, it was only one person doing everything. It seemed like after we ordered, that’s when people started coming in one after the other. Then there was a huge group that came in. The “slow service” I let it slide since she didn’t know there was going to be an inundation of customers pouring in. You know those clown cars where 20 clowns come out, yeah it seemed like that. I got the lychee milk tea with golden boba and an egg waffle with ice cream. I ordered 50% sugar. The drink itself was decent, not too sweet which I like. I do wish the golden boba was a little less chewy. They also didn’t have the tofu pudding that I wanted. Egg waffle was crispy, warm, and soft. The ice cream was Oreo. Other than that, they had an adequate amount of tables. That’s assuming you don’t have the clown cars with 20 kids coming out of it. Prices were fair. Place was clean when we first walked in, not sure about after we left.“

“Was in the area and had to make a stop back to Mochinut. The flavors this week looked really good. I love the texture and chewiness of these donuts. They are light and not overly sweet. We enjoyed the original glazed and churro at the store. My sister was expecting the glazed to be a sugar rush. But to her surprise it wasn't too sweet, but perfect! She had her first mochiball and loved the strawberry filling. Great little after noon treat to enjoy with hot tea on this frigid cold weekend!“

“I've been trying to look a good matcha ice cream place in Chicago for the longest time and I FOUND IT! Releaf is located in the cutest Japanese marketplace, tucked away in the corner amid other restaurants. I got their Black Sesame and Matcha mixed soft serve on a cone. Honestly, there isn't much to say except that it was delicious. The quantity is really great, swirl was aesthetically pleasing to look at, and you can taste both the matcha and black sesame. The staff said that the soft serve is definitely stronger compared to the ice cream scoop. They do serve drinks during their normal operating hour, but after like 6/7pm, they only sell soft serve and ice cream after those times.“

Not always made well at other restaurants.But here the entire noodle dish was excellent. They did not skimp on shrimp, veg or eggs. The spice level was good and matched requested level. Good curry taste without overwhelming. The pork eggroll was also tasty as was the sweet dipping sauce. Even the ubiquitous fortune cookie was fresh.Only thing was the person who took my order said soup was included with take out. It wasn't. Oh, well. In line with most other places that offer soup for dine in only.Other than that try this place. It's really good IMO. They close early, at 8:30pm and are closed Tue.“
“Came here in the middle of the day during a weekday, so it was pretty empty. That also mean we got served very quickly. The store had a cute wall and seating along the wall, but no tables. So it might be a little awkward if you have a large group. The drinks were pretty good though, we got the brown sugar milk tea everything was decent. Definitely not the best boba I've had, but the pearls were decently chewy and the flavor was decently good. My friend enjoyed his smoothie as well. Overall a pretty solid boba place. I'd come back again.“

“I needed a gift card for my sister who lives near this store. I live in Oregon and recently visited. Their online ordering was down and I don't know if they even offer this online. Anyway I called and gave them my card info and they said they would get it to her. They drove the card over to her a few hours later. They didn't want to risk mailing it. My sister was so excited. Service beyond the call of duty. I hope they get an E-gift card set up on the online ordering system for future use.“
