“Me and a friend stopped here before a concert at the Radius, and this will be the official pregame for anytime I have a concert there. Great food, excellent drink selections, friendly staff...highly recommend!“

“We finally got to check this place out. Located next to Mon Ami Gabi, you enter through the magnificent lobby. Inside is decorated sparsely but with warmth. We sat near the window for brunch and it was not at all busy at Saturday 10am. It’s probably not the first pick for brunch since their menu is not heavily focused on egg dishes (but they featured baked goods trays which I promised myself to try when I bring a larger family here). They relocated to this new space last fall but I had not really noticed from outside in my walks. The menu is very Asian-fusion and food was high quality and creative. I preferred theirs to North Pond actually. Theirs have more flavor overall. We ordered Maine Lobster Dumplings, Warm Mushroom Salad (this was a hit. I’m going to try to recreate the roasted mushroom at home) and truffle croquettes, pork noodle served in Korean earthen pot and salmon tartine. The first two dishes are really memorable flavors. They were generous with Mimosa and J enjoyed Mezcal shots each with pickle brine and watermelon. Think dirty martini but with more zing! which I appreciated. We want to come back for their happy hour and try other dishes. So glad to find this gem today. Service was prompt and with smiles.“

“OMG! I have missed good take out since going vegan, and this place blew my mind! They had all the classic Chinese rake out dishes. Everything I got tasted exactly like what I remember prior to being vegan. I got sweet and sour chicken, vegan salt & pepper shrimp, wonton soup, and bean paste dessert rice balls. Everything was heavenly and wish I had stuff like this where I lived. I will definitely be back when I'm in the Chicago area again! Heck, I'd travel just for this food! The bartenders cocktails (garnished w/ fresh flowers!) are pure elegance and his customer service skills are excellent! The drag show was a blast! “In 2017, I picked up my older brother at Midway to come home to the funeral of our youngest brother that committed suicide at 23 yers old. We swung over to Vito and Nick's to get a pizza and talk. It was our first time there. We ended up telling the waitress the situation because we had both been crying. Next thing we know, the kitchen had par-baked like 8 large pizzas of all types, and gave us a hand-written note giving us condolences and instructions on how to finish baking the pizzas. They said they wanted to make sure my family was well-fed in our time of tragedy ❤ And the pizza is INCREDIBLE ❤ SPECIAL, SPECIAL PLACE“

El día de hoy, martes 26 de noviembre, llegué a cenar a las 8:45 pm confiando en la información publicada en sus redes sociales, donde claramente se especifica que el horario de cierre es a las 11:00 pm. No obstante, a las 9:30 pm ya se estaba anunciando el "último llamado" para bebidas alcohólicas. Además, durante mi estancia, fui testigo de cómo dos familias fueron rechazadas para cenar por el mismo motivo: el restaurante estaba cerrando antes de tiempo debido a "la falta de clientes". Entiendo que puedan surgir situaciones operativas, pero considero que este tipo de decisiones impacta negativamente en la experiencia de sus clientes. Cuando se anuncia un horario de cierre, los clientes planeamos nuestras visitas en base a esa información. De no ser posible mantener el horario anunciado, sería más transparente ajustarlo oficialmente en sus plataformas para que las personas puedan planear con anticipación y, en caso necesario, optar por otras opciones. Por último, quiero mencionar que esta inconformidad fue compartida con nuestra mesera, quien nos escuchó con amabilidad. Sin embargo, creo que esta situación requiere un ajuste desde la gerencia para evitar malentendidos en el futuro. One small thing that could be improved is clearer signage. There wasn’t anything indicating that you can seat yourself, so I assumed I needed to order at the counter and wait for a number 🤔 Turns out I was completely wrong, and for a moment I thought I was about to get scolded 😅 The lady at the counter helped fix my order and guided me, and then I was able to sit down.

“I came all the way from California for St. Patrick’s Day and somehow ended up having one of the most memorable Italian dinners of my life at Rosebud on Taylor Street.

The night started with me confidently ordering… a salad. Just a salad. The host paused, looked at me, and said, “That’s it?” while the rest of my table went full Italian feast mode. I was already laughing and also slightly questioning my own decisions.

But I absolutely made the right call. The burrata and prosciutto with arugula salad was hands down one of the best salads I’ve ever had. Fresh, flavorful, perfectly balanced. I’m still thinking about it.

Everyone at the table ordered something different. The bruschetta had a real flair for flavor. The cacciatore was incredible. There was one more dish that was so good I honestly forgot the name because we were too busy enjoying ourselves.

The drinks were also great. The kind where you say you’ll just have one and suddenly you’re fully living in the moment.

What really made the experience unforgettable though was the atmosphere and the staff. The managers were dressed in sharp black and brown suits, which gave the whole restaurant this classic old Italian movie vibe. Not in a cheesy way. In a timeless, elegant, you feel like you just walked into a scene kind of way.

At the same time, the servers were warm, attentive, and constantly checking on us. Everyone made us feel welcome, joked with us, and treated us like we had been coming there for years. It felt personal and genuine.

Ending my Chicago trip with dinner here before flying home the next day was the perfect finale. Amazing food, great drinks, incredible hospitality, and an atmosphere I won’t forget.

Rosebud didn’t just serve dinner. They created a whole experience. I can’t wait to come back. And next time… I might even order more than just a salad. Maybe.“

Second I decided to go due to the good food and definitely the customer service, again awesome. Third, I enjoyed my food as always with recommendations from the young lady ( forgot her name). All three times I was either on crutches or knee brace. They were so sweet they helped me with my food to car an even told me to pull up to place and they’ll have my order ready for me!
