Quite simply the finest iteration I have encountered anywhere: deeply caramelized onions, a broth with true backbone, and a cheese crown that achieves the rare alchemy of richness without heaviness. The wine list shows a commendable sensibility, particularly in its by-the-glass program, which favors quality over breadth. Pairings were easy, and our requests for slight menu modifications were met with seamless accommodation. If there is a flaw, it lies in the cramped dimensions of the room—but in practice, service and cuisine are so strong they render the limitation almost trivial. Highly recommended. “Standard BK, not bad, except, i feel they over salt everything at this location. The fries and nuggets have been super salty the last 3 times I've been. They always have fresh Tacos though, so that is good. And yes BK has a taco on the menu!“

Whether it's a Chicago-style dog, Italian beef sandwich, gyros, burger ( Samburger) or Maxwell St. Polish sausage, fries; Sammie's knows how to do it and they do Chicago-style grub extremely well.

First time ever trying this particular location was this past April and was definitely well worth the price. Chicago-style food is a way of life and a culture that should be practiced if living in the Chicago area.

Clean dining room with friendly service and delicious bites at still reasonable prices make this venue another hot spot for awesome Chicago fare. I wish for many years of continued boomin' business for the owner(s).“

“so ordered combination teriyaki and garlic parmesan wings and an order of macaroni and cheese, the teriyaki wings were fairly saucy and reasonably tasty move on to the garlic parmesan wings which had zero sauce however they did have Parmesan on them. according to the manager they didn't have any sauce on it so they parmesan them up. now let's move on to the macaroni and cheese I've had macaroni and cheese out of the box from Aldi that had thicker cheese sauce. so I questioned the manager about this his exacting answer to me was we buy our ingredients for that at Walmart. so you buy your ingredients from Walmart when you're a restaurant so that's not actually acceptable and the lake county health department standards for a restaurant. you could literally pour the cheese sauce out of the cup so I question the manager on both of these and he's the one that told me this and didn't seem to give any care about our dinner... so I'm just leaving this up for everybody else they don't seem to care. didn't offer to make anything right and well they will never get our money again. if you want some macaroni and cheese Heck just go to Walmart and buy some you might get the better quality than they make.“

“My family of six ate at Culvers in McHenry on Tuesday, Dec 31 about 1:30. We were greeted with a pleasant hello. The lady who took our order got it right and was pleasant.Since were a group of 6, I figured it would take a little longer to get our order. That wasn't the case. Not only did the order come quickly, but is also accurate. That was wonderful! When we were nearing the end of our meal, a gentleman, (Jude, I believe) can around with free samples of the flavor of the day (Mint explosion). Never has that happened at Colvers to me in the many times I eat at different Culvers! What a nice touch! Upon leaving, we got a cheery Thank you, have a great day and happy new year. I’m an Uber delivery driver and I went in there today and they were having trouble with their credit card machine, but I would like to say they were handling it very well. The orders were still coming out while I was there. There was a guy there from corporate and it just seemed like he was giving the general manager a hard time. I just wanna say people like him cant prevent machines breaking. They really need to take it easy before they end up losing such a good hard-working manager. I did a delivery at 6 AM and then another delivery at 7 PM. “I was very happy with the employees that worked there, but i gave it a one-star for the food. I was very disappointed in the twist cone I received. It was like eating whipped cream. Don't get me wrong, I like whipped cream but not as a cone. The reason why it was like this is because the machine wasn't calibrated correctly in the beginning, or they ran out of mix, and when they added more mix. And then the machine when out of calibration. I know this because I worked in the food industry for 35 years.“
