“Love this neighborhood bar. I live in the Pistakee Highlands subd. Cash only but very affordable. It has a pool table and dart boards. They also have popcorn for self serve. When I have a night out on the town this is usually where we end up. I've always felt safe being here because all the customers are locals and know one another.“

My fiancé ordered salsa and chips for an appetizer and we were both happily surprised with the fresh chips and tasty green salsa! After enjoying our appetizer we both ordered their three taco dinner special for taco Tuesday. My fiancé order steak tacos and I ordered a combination of chicken tinga, chorizo, and their house special campechano. Everything was amazing!!! My fiancé enjoys the spicier salsas and was offered a habenero red salsa. We sampled all three that was received and have nothing but good things to say about them all. “I came to try the meat loaf stack and my wife the steak sandwich. We thought the food was delicious, and the service was great. We arrived a little before 5 on Friday which was a good time because the restaurant filled up quickly after wards. We’ll definitely be coming back.“

“Nice handycap entrance. Nice people and comfortable sitting. Bar stools and chair sitting up at bar. Sitting at tables also for small groups for talking to friends. And always a TV for watching favorite sports. Good drinks at reasonle prices.“

“Broken Oar is always a great time, especially on a summer Saturday afternoon. The atmosphere is lively, the crowd is fun, and the staff is consistently friendly and attentive.

We came by boat just to grab a few drinks and appetizers. Everything was good, but the churro fries were the standout of the day—absolutely worth ordering and highly recommended.

My only complaint is the docking situation. Getting from the docks to the restaurant requires walking through muddy, sandy terrain, which isn't ideal. More importantly, the docks sit very high above the water, and the exposed metal underneath ended up scratching our boat. If you have a typical recreational boat, I'd honestly think twice about arriving by water, as there's a real risk of cosmetic damage.

Despite that, the food, drinks, service, and overall atmosphere keep us coming back. We'll definitely be back—just probably by car next time.“
