“Well I was reading up on the best burgers and five guys came up as #4 on this list so I wanted to give my opinion on there burgers . And I have to be honest with you friends , Five Guys in my humble opinion is definitely drum roll ..... #1 in my taste buds opinion !! Try them I don't think you will be disappointed !!!“

“My daughter and I went in for lunch. We were on a time crunch in between her sporting events. Brian Harris, the General Manager, was very friendly and very attentive. He was coming around to the tables and checking on us and other guests to make sure that everything was to our liking. It was a great experience and we will definitely be back.“

“Driven by many times but tonight my fuance and I turned around to give it a shot. From the moment we walked we were blown away by the cleanliness and hospitality of the staff. We both ordered the double slaw burger with fries. Long story short it wss beyond delicious.
Ive always been a fan of smash burgers but this was by far the best I’ve ever had. Their slaw sauce was amazing, the fries were perfectly done with their own in home seasoning. To top ot off we were given a “samole” of their churros fries as well. I’d go their just for those I see many trips to our new favorite burger joint now.

“Dined in on Labor Day and everything was ok. Two days later I placed an online order, the crew on site weren't even aware that my order was placed until 4 minutes AFTER I ARRIVED. I ordered 2 sandwiches (1 chicken and one burger), 2 fries and 2 drinks and a side of coleslaw. Got home and I had 1 chicken sandwich, one fry, one coleslaw and 2 drinks... where's the burger and other fry? I called them up, the employee who answered took 7 minutes of blabbering before offering a refund for the missing items. 1 week later and I have yet to receive my refund. Good to know that Slaw Burger engages in theft.“

“We went with our Burger Club to Lucky Burgers (a.k.a. Jelly Cafe after dark or 4pm, whichever comes first).

Jelly Cafe is a breakfast and lunch place open 7am until 2pm. Then they switch over to Lucky Burgers which is open from 4pm until no one is there and they want to go home. Though technically I think they’re open until 8 or 9pm.

There are a handful of items on the Lucky Burgers’ menu: about 5 variations of their classic burger, a chicken sandwich, chicken tenders, and waffle fries.

When we went, the place was empty and never got busy. Which opened the door for one of the owners, Scott, to regale us with tales of days gone by from his childhood in Evanston and the famous people he knew, grew up with, and worked with. It was nice hearing these stories and it was nice to give Scott something and somebodies to talk to as well.

The place has a large parking lot and is nice and clean on the inside. There is a tiny area with slot machines and a small bar/counter at the entrance.

The burgers are all smashburgers. They come as singles or double patties. Go for the double as there’s not a whole lot of meat once they’re smashed. The differences are the toppings. Scott recommends their housemade dijonaise sauce which is good, but ask for it on the side. The cook slathers it on the burger and that’s all you can taste. Once I scooped (you read that correctly) the sauce off my burger, it was a pretty good burger. The meat is seasoned well and cooked nicely and the bun holds up (despite dripping in dijonaise).

We all shared the chicken tenders as an appetizer. Five nice sized tenders come in the meal and you can choose your dipping sauce. Scott recommended their honey mustard which was very good and the ranch wasn’t bad either.

He is also johnny-on-the-spot to refill fill your drinks. I seriously thought that I would float away.

The best part is the price. All said and done for a burger, waffle fries, and a soda, with tax and tip is like $15-$18 bucks.

“David was our server who was very attentive and kind , we had a coupon for a free appetizer we got the loaded potato chips they were stale had been reheated just like when you bring home for leftovers barely warm , we didn’t say anything we had the beef tenderloin sandwich which both were cooked just right and delicious We went back after the show for dessert asked for David , the dessert was excellent, bread pudding and strawberry shortcake, we had two coffees as well , when he brought them out they were barely luke warm he did make that right for us ,had to go to banquet room to get hot coffee, I know it was 10:15 and you close at 11 , but for 5 dollars for acup of coffee it should be fresh Our service was superb from him but pay a little more attention to temperatures of food We are subscribers and always on e there to eat, last time mashed potatoes were Luke warm had to be reheated“

“I went in with my dad and expected a good burger and not much else. I couldn't even believe how much more I got. From the moment I got there, Alexander, the guy manning the cash register was so helpful, informative, and kind without being overbearing. I was mind blown how much he cared about his job. It left a huge impression. Turns out he was the general manager, which made sense, haha. The burger itself was so much better than I expected. I will be going back for sure. “This restaurant was a great find. The cheeseburger and fried chicken bites were delicious. I highly recommend trying the chicken and lamb bowls. All sauces can be ordered on the side if you like your food mild. My kids loved the Nutella bubble tea and Oreo pudding. PLUS they have board games like Uno, Connect Four, Jenga, etc.“

“We tried this after watching Phil Goode’s review on their smash burger- we tried the burger, pork belly bites and the traditional wings with Jerk sauce and also XXX-Hot.
The smash burger was absolutely fantastic. Fries that came with it are seasoned but we think they would be so much better fresh cut. Pork belly also fantastic and melts in your mouth- The wings themselves we thought were a tad dry and overdone BUT were very flavorful. The Jerk sauce was very good. The XXX - hot has outstanding flavor but if you truly like spicy food it is not hot but again the flavor of this sauce is top notch. Staff was exceptional.We will definitely be back!“

“Franks for the Memories has officially stolen our hearts.. again! My boyfriend and I came back for our second visit, and it was just as amazing as the first. We ordered the boneless wings and fries with cheese sauce, and everything was absolutely delicious. The wings were packed with flavor, the fries were perfectly crispy, and that cheese sauce… heavenly!

Even though the place was busy, the staff had such a great, lighthearted attitude that made the whole experience even better. They were friendly, upbeat, and on top of it all, our food came out in less than 10 minutes! You can tell they care about both the food and the people they’re serving.
