“We took a break in this adorable small-town Harley Davidson bar! The service and food were amazing. It was also shockingly clean! I had a delicious Catfish dinner! They even have a salad bar to go with your meal. This was a satisfying relief after traveling for 12 hours!“

“As we all know, Rip’s chicken is clearly the BEST. Have you ever thought about ordering Rips as a catering service? Not only was the service great, but the food was amazing. My wedding guests raved about it for weeks. We still hear about how much they loved the food. They make the best homemade Pasta and the chicken, as always was so good. They offered so many different sides to choose from and everything turned out perfectly. They had a nice setup and their girls kept the guest tables clean the entire time they were there. Seriously, by the end of the night I don’t think I saw one plate or empty cup on a single table! The owner works seamlessly with the venue and Rips staff to make sure your dinner services are top notch. I would 10/10 recommend Rip’s Tavern in general, but especially for an event. The restaurant was pretty busy for a Tuesday night, but we were seated right away without a reservation. Our server, Tracy H, was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Uptown is definitely one of the best restaurants in the Illinois Valley. The food is always consistent, and the service is excellent no matter how busy they are. Whether you're visiting or new to the area, Uptown is a must-try. You won’t be disappointed!“

“Wife and I went on a Wednesday night since we had a rare night with no kids at the last minute. I’d heard good things around town and now I know why. It hit all the right notes. Contemporary style, welcoming and knowledgeable staff and excellent food. 612 Bowie Pasta for me, Caprese Salad with Chicken for the wife and Bruschetta as an appetizer. We should’ve had leftovers with the generous portions, but it was just too good to stop eating! Highly recommended!“

“Best place we stayed between Chicago and Grafton, IL! We were stuck at Starved Rock lock for around 5 hours. We didn't get through until after dark (9:30-ish). I called and amazingly enough a guy named Chuck answered the phone! He said our boat was a little big for anything they had available but he could put us at their fuel dock for the night. He waited until we got there around 11pm, helped us get tied up then invited us to the bar for drinks and even opened the kitchen and made us supper! Seriously the best place we stayed. Fun, clean, not pretentious, extremely accommodating, and super reasonable prices! Thank you South Shore Boat Club - and Chuck - for your help and amazing hospitality!!“

“I normally love Culvers. It is the only fast food I eat. Today it was horrible. Fries were not fried properly. They were a gooey mess. My burger was not cooked in the middle. Threw it out and their food is not inexpensive. Waste of money and I'm still hungry. I will go back and if it isn't back to normal that will be my last time. Too bad. We have had a good relationship for many years.“

“Love this place. It’s a lil lunch time shop at this location. Ofcorse you’ve got to get the Chicago dog but a lot of people like the Nashville Louisville and Memphis dog. Expect to spend about $12 for 2 dogs fries and a drink (can vary) but it’s well worth the spend with fast service time good food and an easy in and out atmosphere.“

“I have been to Wahlburgers twice now and both times the food was EXCELLENT. Today, however, takes the cake. When I arrived and looked for what I wanted on the menu it wasn't there. I spoke with Ben behind the counter and he told me that specific item had been removed from the menu. I was visibly disappointed so he told me he would make it up for me! He said he may not have the exact dressing but he could pull something together. I was so excited and incredibly thankful because he did NOT have to do that. He went above and beyond and I thanked him again and again. The food was fresh, everything tasted delicious and I will definitely go back again!

Vegetarian options: My salad was a street corn salad. It included romaine lettuce, chopped up red and green pepper, parmesan cheese and shredded cheddar cheese with a delicious dressing.“

“Just found out they had the quik chik chicken & my husband was so excited to try something from his childhood once again & I bein a vegetarian i ordered fries & coleslaw & the lady answering the phone was very pleasant & upon walking in the man behind the bar was very nice & I got my order & drove 20 minutes home grabbed my first French fri & omg it was still hot not warm but hot & I can order from places less than a block away from me & fries are warm at best so to drive 20min & have hot fries is awesome time management on the cooks part he or she's a keeper..& now for the chicken my husband loved it not greasy yet juicy and tender& hot which made him glad he got a half over a quarter so he could have awesome left overs & he loved the coleslaw everything about it & I loved the juice its like a sweet kfc juice & lots of it omg so good i can drink it absolutely loved it .the texture is more on the minced side & I prefer more chopped but thats just personal prefance & that delicious juice i didn't really care i ate almost the whole pint in one sitting..We will definitely order this again & the awesome hot food & the very friendly service is the reason why cause the two go together to make a good meal great ..“

“Dont know what happened tonight. Ordered an old drink thats not on the menu but ive always got it, even thru last month. Ordered another drink and waited over 30 min. Sent mushrooms back because they were burnt, literally stuck to the dish. Heard kitchen staff holler "for real" lol. Ended up walking out after 40 minutes still no drinks. Biscuits finally came out after 25min. Manager and kitchen staff need some retraining. She didnt even come talk to us. Normally great. idk what they were doin tonight. “By far one of the BEST, IHOP's aka U-JUMPS, (because I personally do not like to HOP, therefore U-Jump). Sounds better in person..Anywho, The food was literally still steaming when it arrived. This particular IHOP has regained my faith local breakfast chains. For once, the food actually WAS worth the price.
