33 Best Chicken Wings near Lake Bluff

“I recently stopped in to Half & Half Lake Bluff, on a busy summer Friday night and so should you.

I have enjoyed this establishment several times, eat in and carry out, but have never done a review.

The outside patio area was already busy so I decided to just stay inside at the cozy wood bar.
The bartender was attentive and make a great old fashion and suggested a nice pilsner brew.

Ordered the spinach dip appetizer w/ the pita which was top shelf and a good starter. Moved on a bit later to enjoy their pizza (Johns pizza, sausage, pepperoni, black olives, mozzerella on that Romantate Signature Crest)

Enjoyed the food, drinks and people watching here.
Try this place, but visit early, seating and food availability may be limited in peak times

“Omg! Let’s just start with the service. They were helpful, quick, efficient. We had a large order but they sure delivered. From the friendly welcome, helpful hands getting the order to the car, to the FULL bellies and amazing food! This place did not disappoint. The wings, the fries, the Philly! All of it was amazing.“

They are consistently friendly and call me by my name as soon as I walk in the door. The wings are always hot, fresh, and flavorful. Never had a bad meal here.“

I been here plenty of time since it opened but today's wings hit different fresh, crispy, full of sauce not greasy or oily like other times before. Who ever new tall guy cooking back there keep him! Also the fries were nice n crispy too no soggy fries fyi!“

“The kimchi fried rice is absolutely incredible, easily the star of the menu and packed with flavor. If you enjoy spicy food, it's a must try! The veggie dumplings were also delicious, and the wings were very good, especially depending on the flavor you choose.

A couple things to keep in mind: the parking lot can be a bit challenging, and there is very limited seating inside, with only a couple of tables available, so it's primarily a takeout spot. That said, the food more than makes up for it. The kimchi fried rice alone is worth the visit, and I highly recommend giving it a try!“

“First, the food is DELICIOUS! They have a lot more flavors of chicken available than some other K.F.C. restaurants. The tteokbokki offers more flavors & add in’s as well. You can tell the company really cares about their food quality and customer satisfaction-eg they have steam vents built into the containers and the keep your to-go order propped slightly open until you pick up your order all so that your chicken remains crispy, rather than getting soggy waiting in a closed container! The staff are always very polite & conscientious. LOVE THIS PLACE!“

“Food is always good here, there is a wait time only because everything's made fresh but if you call and place your order beforehand you shouldn't have an issue with wait times. Theres also a smoothie place attached to this place and I highly recommend you try both! Your stomach will thank you 🫡“

“I lived overseas for a number of years and came back after Covid only to find my go-to pizza spots had all closed. I spent the next three years chasing that real Chicago stuffed-crust fix and kept coming up disappointed.

Then, on my birthday today, I finally found the place that fills the void.

The sauce is robust, the cheese is generous, and the crust is exactly what you want from a quality Chicago stuffed crust pizza. Hands down, it’s the best stuffed crust I’ve had in Illinois in over 10 years, and the price is better than Lou Malnati’s (bland) and Giordano’s (#2 stuffed crust in il IMO, but far away from my location).

“These are the nastiest wings I ever had in my life, I ordered a 16 piece lemon pepper hot wing and they sent one order of bland hot wings with curly frys and a order of no flavor tasteless wings with cury frys I did not know chicken could be so bland and nasty. we didn't even eat them they're just sitting there, we did not even have dinner because it was so bad.“

“I used to work at the Lincoln Park Buffalo Wild Wings before it became corporate, and I’ve been a huge fan always – and always will be. I recently visited the Northbrook Dundee ave location and it was fantastic. This is now my new favorite local wing place. The restaurant was clean, and the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Oh my god, thank you – Natalie took my order and delivered my food with a smile. The wings were amazing – fresh, hot, and full of flavor. It’s so much better when you eat them there instead of taking them to go. The best did not disappoint.
