Manti are plump and comforting, the tea ritual is lovely, and the warmly hospitable service makes you feel like a welcomed guest rather than a customer. It’s only held back from a full five by occasional inconsistency (one visit the meat was perfection, another slightly dry) and a dessert selection that feels a touch limited. Still, for authentic Uzbek soul food in an atmosphere that glows with genuine Central Asian spirit, Samarkand remains an absolute delight well worth repeat visits.“

“I wanted to give this location props for their lunch on 8/17. Walking in around 1pm, I could tell they had had their butts handed to them and were obviously understaffed. However, in my perspective they were handling the hangry customers very well, were staying calm and the staff that was present seemed to know what they were doing. The only reason for 4 stars is because and (this has happened more than once at this location) rather than suggesting I try my Pesto Cavatappi with pork, they tell me it comes with pork, which is not true. There is an additional charge for any meat on this bowl.“

“We had an 80th Birthday party in the private room. It was the best experience and the most delicious food. The staff are so friendly and helpful. And again the food was wonderful and plentiful. You can’t go wrong booking the Continental for your next party. I give it 10 out of 10.“

“Great spot for lunch! I came in around 2:30 - the service was attentive and hands on, and food came out extremely quick. I love that they serve fresh juice (the Verde Vida was amazing) and have a large tequila selection. The Blackberry margarita also did not disappoint, and the food is authentic and delicious. “Food and service were great. Got several appetizers, including sausage and peppers, which weren't even on the menu. The veal chop was delicious and huge; and the cannoli was the perfect way to end the meal.

My only complaint was the spacing of the tables. Because the dining room is so small, they stack the tables on top of each other. All night our chairs were banging against the people behind us, making trips to the restroom a difficult task. Even with this, I'd go back in a heartbeat.“

The Glencoe location is a bustling place and they have a wider variety than the Evanston location (which I also highly recommend).

And did I mention the desserts?! Lots of scrumptious options!

Along with the wonderful food, the customer service is excellent!

“This is really a wonderful restaurant. The price point is excellent and the value for money superb. The food was really, really good, and we all enjoyed our meal. The skirt steak, the lamb chops, the beet salad and the ceviche. The poached pear is something different (not sweet at all) and the chocolate cake was very tasty. And for 10 bucks you get a really solid pour of wine (probably around 9 oz), which is just unheard of in a restaurant. Service was good and we really enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommend you try this new place. They deserve to be more busy. It’s new and people need to get the word out.“

i have a nut allergy (tree nuts) and this is a safe place for me to eat. they recently added pecans to the menu but because they’re in the salads (same with wendy’s) i’ve never had an issue and have eaten here a ton.

i recommend the new garlic bacon mac & cheese and the chicken parmesan those are my favorites. if you’re craving noodles, stop by. be sure to tip the incredible staff! <3“

“This is a solid pizza joint. I’ve ordered delivery 4-5 times. Good ingredients, speedy delivery and consistent results. Plus the delivery guy is a nice guy and seems genuinely proud of the pizza. I compare it to to Rosatis, but I like this better, and that’s with zero shade. In conclusion… if Jimanos is in your neighborhood hood, you should give it a chance. Ps the BLT Pizza was awesome. I feel like I invented it in 2002… But immediately thought it was better than the one I made. Only complaint… Too much bacon. But then I say that out loud and it sounds stupid. Chick fil A restaurant are known for their hospitality but Alex and Tammy who took and filled our order went above and beyond duty to make us feel welcome. My daughter was overjoyed at how delicious her vanilla ice coffee tasted and appreciated Tammy's offer to adjust flavor if it was not to her liking.
