“Build your own bowl: start out with a base including purple rice or sweet potato noodles, can not decide? Go half and half.chooese a protein from steak, Korean BBQ, chicken, spicy chicken, or tofu. Extra protein is only $3 (perfect if you are splitting a bowl - which you could easily do). There are seven veggies, including kimchi, scrambled eggs, and cheese to add to your bowl, top it off with one of 6 sauces. Pineapple and avocado are premium toppings at $1.50 each. I found the Korean BBQ tender and flavorful. The broccoli is oven roasted, bringing ou the nuttiness. Seriously, two people can split a bowl or plan on lunch tomorrow. ? On the beverage station is a crock of hot Miso soup, it is included in with your bowl. I found the soup needed salt.“
“Waitress Liana at the Samarkand restaurant is a true embodiment of professionalism and attention to every guest. Her friendliness, smile and care make visiting this establishment even more pleasant and memorable. Liana is always ready to offer menu recommendations and provide a high level of service, which makes her one of the key elements of a comfortable and enjoyable restaurant experience.“
“I got the Classic Philly- and it was outstanding! It literally just melts in your mouth, cheesy bite of deliciousness. I also got the cheese fries which were also phenomenal and definitely can tell made out of REAL potatoes versus a frozen bag of fries.I’m not even mad I got it all over my work clothes eating in the car because I have a 30 minute lunch break. My only disappointment was I called twice and no one answered the phone and went to voicemail.I don’t know why this establishment didn’t have more people in (maybe because it is Sunday) because this is the BEST sandwich I’ve had in the Lake County area! I will be back again!“
“Only reason I don’t give it a 5 is because there has been a couple times where my order was supposed to be ready for take out and I had to wait 20 minutes for it. I come during my lunch hour so that’s a good half hour waisted because of the delay and then I just have 30 mins or less to shove the food basically. The workers seemed to be working pretty fast so I think it may be a short staffed issue.“
“Went with my friend and my sister. We started with cocktails and an appetizer of Bruschetta con Mozzarella. They both ordered the Rigatoni ala Vodka and I had the Sea Bass Pomodorini. Excellent Italian food! We were all very pleased and full.“
“My husband and I went here for our anniversary and we had the best experience. Our waiter was amazing he was very sweet, caring, and funny. Simply because of him we will be back again soon.Dietary restrictions: The gluten free noodles are very good.“
“Great pizza, maybe the best in the area. But they really need to figure out logistics. They always seem to need several hours' lead time on preparing a pizza. If you call them at 4:30 pm, good luck getting something before 7:00. Seems like they need to expand to get more oven space. I'd eat there more often, but I'm not always thinking about dinner at 1:00 in the afternoon and most of the time I call, it's too long of a wait before anything can be ready.“
“I've been eating at this restaurant for over 20 years. It's a family restaurant, where the owner knows all his regular customers by name and the new ones he treats like he's known them for years as well. This restaurant has managed to stay in business while many of the others around it have closed. The food is well above your average family restaurant and the prices reflect that. This isn't fine dining as some like to compare it too. The staff works hard and many have worked there for 10-20 years. Customers come in and ask for specific servers due to the service and relationships built over the years. There are LOTS of customers who eat here daily or multiple times weekly!! The restaurant is always clean and has a beautiful banquet hall attached that has events going on almost daily. Many groups and organizations come in monthly and rent out the room. The soups, salads (create your own), pancakes, skirt steak, Athenian Chicken, wings and Chicken Mykonos (Wednesday night only) are some of my favorites.“
“I went in the drive thru so I can't say anything about the atmosphere. What I can say is that Portillos always had good food; I get hot dogs w/ everything on them (no peppers) and cheese fries. The line moved pretty quick and the workers were friendly. I would go again“
“It's a small restaurant with big food! You will want to go early because they don't reservations. Wine list could use an update. They were out of a particular Italian red wine on the list, and the white wines need an overhaul. Otherwise, everything was excellent.“
“First time visit. Had a good experience. Rachel took my order and was very polite and personable. It was a pleasure chatting with her while waiting for my (to-go)order. While waiting, I also watched a team of employees work well together (even through the were short staffed). Our food was pretty good. Personally not a fan of the baked potatoes as mine was overcooked. Highly recommend the Cuban sandwich.I spoke briefly with the GM (Sunshine) and commended her on everything. People just don’t say thank you enough these days.Looking forward to returning.“
“Wow! They have the best chicken noodle soup I've ever had. I'm a soup fanatic and have had tons of different chicken noodle soups & this hands down is exactly what you want in a CN soup! Lots of egg noodles that aren't mushy, good amount of carrots & celery. The chicken is white meat and so tasty & tender. Plus the price is awesome! Can't wait to try other soups. Also tried some lemon bars. They were good. I think it could be a little more tart! Nice and buttery.“
“Put this on your list of places to check out when you need to be nourished body and soul. This whole place feels like a warm, familiar hug. The vibes are welcoming and super chill. There's a counter with a few stools, some tables and chairs, or a couch and chairs to relax on. Got a hazelnut latter, which was amazing - not bitter, not overly sweet. I devoured the kale/sweet potato/quinoa bowl and freaking loved it. My partner enjoyed a breakfast burrito, which came with a side of fruit. Great service and ambiance. Will def stop by next time I'm in the area!.“
“I was looking for an inexpensive lunch special close to my work and Pizanoz came up. Though I'm not a big fan of the spelling of "Pizanoz", I read the reviews and did the research to give it a try. There was a picture in the Yelp listing from over 4 years ago (2019?) stating that a slice of deep dish meat lovers pizza was $4. I thought it was highly unlikely that the prices would be the same, post-pandemic, but to my surprise, they were pretty close! Pizza by the slice is now (03/12/24) $4 deep dish sausage or pepperoni, $4.75 for deep dish meat lovers. What a deal! I got the sausage and with a drink, the total was $5.09 after tax! While I don't know the cost of the thin crust slices, they're surely under $4 and worth a try. Regarding the deep dish or pan style pizza itself, I loved it. The crust was soft and doughy and seasoned lightly. There was a nice layer of thick cheese and the sausage was packed with fennel and was a great with the tangy tomato sauce. I was full after eating 3/4 of the slice. The cashier was patient with me as I weighed the options and was happy to answer my questions on the price and options. There's no dining here, so as far as ambiance, I would say that it feels quaint and personable here, like you're stepping into a family business that has been around for a long time. I'll be back for sure, and after one more positive food experience, I'd be ready to upgrade the rating to 5 stars.“
“Really tasty. Got a pan crust sausage, onion and giardiniera. Cooked to perfection. Wife kept stealing my crust because it was so good (she got the chopped salad. It was huge and delicious). We came in with a bunch of rowdy 10yr old boys after a soccer game and pretty much took the place over. They were very patient and accommodating. The kids really enjoyed their thin crust cheese, too! We will definitely be back.“
“Solid pizza & salad, and a beautiful small business Loved the fresh ingredients, and the crispy crust that HELD UP to all those fresh ingredients. We brought our kids in on Valentine's Day. What a pleasant experience!!! Beautiful space too. We will be back!“
“Really enjoy this restaurant, particularly their patio! I’ve actually never bothered dining inside. Love taking our dog out to dinner — it’s like her special occasion restaurant. Plenty of menu variety, even the pup meal includes a choice of chicken or burger, white or brown rice. My favorite dish is the Tex Mex salad. The outdoor atmosphere has great vibes… big fire pit in the middle, side ‘walls’ that roll down in the inclement weather, tvs showing the best sporting events.“
“Jazmine was absolutely excellent. She was kind, got our orders taken care of quickly, and just genuinely seemed like she enjoyed serving us. Out food came out very quickly and even with the 15 minute wait, we were in and out within an hour on a busy Saturday night.“
“I enjoy the salads and bowls here very much. The chocolate chip/oatmeal cookis are really good. I like the variety of the salads and bowls. The menu allows for a good amount of flexibility to your liking. The really only thing I dont like or I am not crazy about is the drink selections.Salads and bowls very good. The staff 90% of them are well trained and very nice.“
“The squirrel had a great time for lunch. Wonderful food bartender was awesome pricing was awesome. Service was quick place is very clean it is a bar with the bar vibe however suitable for quick work lunches. If I live closer I'd even hang out more.“
“One of the best places in the area to get a healthy bite to eat! I've seen managers at nearby stores take their employees to eat here as well, instead of staying at their own establishment! Definitely coming back when in the Vernon Hills area! We just had a Zupas open closer to me, so we go there now! This location is also great!“
“My favorite pizza of all time! I love that i can come up with really strange pizza concoctions and they are up for the challenge. Also, they REALLY understand the assignment when I ask for EXTRA RANCH! Double dough is my favorite crust ever!“
“A solid choice for burgers. BWB prides themselves on their smash burger, which comes tasty and gooey with cheese and grilled onions. They also offer a pub burger, for those who don't care for the smash style. It's good, but the smash burger is better. Their fries tend to be kinda dry and flavorless, so dressing them up with carne asada or truffle oil might be a good choice. Hot dogs are the standard Chicago dog, done right, tasty but not hard to find around here. The shakes are fine, but nothing stood out to me to make them worthy of the top billing they get here. BWB also offers bowls and chicken, haven't tried them. The venue is pretty much takeout only, although there is a table on the sidewalk nearby. Service is quick and friendly. If they had better fries, they'd be rock stars, as it is, I'm happy to come here when I'm looking for a good burger.“
“My local favorite for the best pizza of all of them. Fast service. I just happem=ned to be driving home and stopped in at the Gurnee location. Ordered a pizza to go and it was ready in less than fifteen minutes. Was perfectly done to expectations.Parking: Handicapped to the door !“
“I ordered a regular Hammie for lunch. When it came, it was a "SkinnyHammie." instead. The store manager, a very nice young woman, had my order remade and did not charge me for either one. I thinkshe deserves a "thank you"for being gracious.“
“This is the best Noodles & Company I have been to because of the service! The staff is incredibly friendly and warm, especially Zach. It seems like he has regulars that he knows on a personal basis. I briefly interacted with Ron as well and he was also very nice.“
“I highly recommend the pizzeria Sarpino’s Northbrook! Incredibly delicious! I have already tried many different types of pizza, sandwiches, calzones, pasta, salads. I always get great pleasure from the taste and fast delivery! And they also have very polite staff!“
“I went here to do some personal work with my mom. We grabbed lunch and while it was a bit expensive. It was delicious, I love how they really made sure that my allergy was known to all staff and my food was carefully prepared. Will definitely return, the atmosphere is so calm great location off the highway.“
“Best pizza in the world!Only giving 4 stars in my review because I wish I didn’t take thaaaaat long.. hopefully someday we will be able to order in advance so we won’t have to wait up to 1 hour for deep dish already seating in the table.“
“Fantastic, old school spot for a fabulous meal. I've been going here since I was a kid and nothing has changed. They have a warm and comfy dining room on one side with tables and big deep booths, and on the other side is a lively 360° oval bar with booths and tables around the perimeter, great bartenders, and you can get full meal service at the bar with a full place setting. Prices are reasonable, the food is all good / consistent, they make a wonderful hamburger on dark rye, ribs are amazing, and it's kid friendly!“
“Been here multiple times and it is a great experience every time. They are so quick and the food is always so fresh. It is definitely one of my favorite counter-serve restaurants. They have some of the best dressings and meat choices, all for a very reasonable price.“
“A Taste of Home Away from Home ?Hi there,Since my recent move from Chicago, finding a local pizza joint has been a must, having grown up with some of the best. Judy’s Pizza has become my new go-to spot—I kid you not, I can't even remember the name of my favorite Chicago place anymore. The ingredients at Judy’s are always fresh, and they offer such a fantastic range of toppings. Plus, if you're in the mood for something lighter, their salads slay just ans hard and are reasonably priced. Whether you prefer double-decker or thin crust, you can't go wrong with any choice on their menu. But here’s what sets Judy’s apart for me: the owner and his family. They truly go above and beyond to show their love for our community. Recently, they made a generous contribution to my son’s preschool’s annual fundraiser, and that’s just the beginning. Judy’s also participates in Deerfield’s school lunch programs, works concessions at the local pools in Summer, and partners with various nonprofits. (Did I mention they cater too? ?)Pro tip: Mondays mean 25% off your order, and on Tuesdays, they serve up large pizzas for just $12! Can it get any better than that?“
“Absolutely amazing and filling. On vacation and wanted some pizza the front desk clerk gave me this menu. You see the price and might ache but it's worth it. One slice of stuffed pizza gave me the itis(iykyk) damn and I got the windy city pizza so delicious and savoury“
“I placed an order for my students the morning of and the staff were very helpful! Upon arrival (earlier than expected time), they had everything packed up & ready to go. They made the tax-exempt process so easy! My students enjoyed the sandwiches and I’ll definitely be ordering again in the future!“
“The people working here are excellent, they are very nice and remember me. The food is excellent and is one of the few places I feel comfortable ordering food with my fodmap diet. Thank you making me Wednesday work days more enjoyable and giving me something to look forward to!Dietary restrictions: If you are on the fodmap diet, you can eat their tahini dressing. This was a big deal for me just starting the diet and feeling like I couldn't eat anywhere in the elimination phase. And it is delicious.“
“An Old School traditional Steakhouse nestled in the North shore!!! The servings and hearty and the Service is top notched...No5 many steakhouse give you a wet aged/Dry aged option to choose from!!! If you have an ounce of patience(Driving-wise) make that trip!!!“
