“We had such a great experience here for a weekend dinner. We were looking for a dinned spot in the area and there weren't many options to select from. It was a very slow evening and the service was great. The Crispy Gochujang Shrimp starter was the highlight—perfectly cooked, generously sized shrimp with a tangy-spicy glaze that had just the right amount of kick. We split the Smash Burger and Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich, and both were packed with flavor and super satisfying. The portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned. Only miss was the truffle fries upgrade—not much truffle flavor, so I'd skip that next time. But otherwise, highly recommend for a tasty and casual brunch or lunch. We'll definitely be back!“

Choc Chip scone is delicious; good texture, plenty of chips and excellent tasting. Also purchased cinnamon roll. After heating, just incredible! Frosting super delish, dough was great. Anxious to go back, would like to try cupcakes, empanadas and pie. Store is super cute!!! Also, the owner/manager was at an event, not at store today. However, family member there (Mom I think). “This place is absolutely incredible. The service every single time is top-notch . Every time I’ve been here which is more than three the same guy has been behind the counter. This is truly a jem in Linconshire.

The Portion size feels like it is nearly double what you get at chipotle. Obviously, this is an Asian style bowl place and the amount of toppings that they have is absolutely incredible. All the veggies are super fresh and they have great sauce. My son loves the mango chill drink. I had a zipper too, and it is a really tasty super thick mango drink.“

This was my first time trying mediterranean food but have to say Im absolutely impressed at the balance of all the ingredients and spices coming together to form such a beautiful pallet of light but flavorful aroma and taste NOT led by salt as many restaurants do, but then again Im not sure if that is exclusive to mediterranean. Yes, It was that good I had to come back the day after. I ordered the chicken & beef shawarma not knowing what to expect. Im hispanic so when it arrived, seeing the pita cut up into triangle pieces, seeing the seasoned rice, juicy beef, chicken and grilled vegetables, I knew what had to be done and did exactly that by instinct. There is no understatement and even less exaggeration when I state that I will quite literally never forget my first bite of that pita with grilled vegetables, beef, chicken, rice, tajini & gyro sauce. The following sip of that lemon infused water quite literally cleansed my pallet and let me savor the following forkful of that yellow rice and grilled vegetables I just HAD to try on its own. The 3 sauces given to me during my time there gave the restaurant and its food a sense of solidarity, like It was almost a sin to eat without them. The server then gave me a small square of baklava to try near the end of my meal and I fell in love with this spot even more. Restaurants really don't do it like this anymore, and Im glad to have found a spot that still cares & provides to their customers at this caliber. Will be returning with the family for sure, fan of this place at first bite. Oh, I forgot to mention, I paid $15.01 for this experience, that should be more than enough convincing if you are on the fence about visiting here!“

“Bluegrass Restaurant is a wonderful, family-owned restaurant. We have been ordering takeout and eating in since we came to Highland Park three years ago. The owners take pride in managing the restaurant on a daily basis. They prioritize customer service, great food, and a warm, welcoming experience. Last night, they hosted the Highland Park/Highwood Professional Moms group. We had only expected 15 women to attend, but 25 women ended up coming. The owners and the staff were AMAZING. They brought over additional chairs. They provided us with top-notch service, including separate checks. They respected us when we were speaking to the group and quietly took orders in the background. I can't say enough nice things about this restaurant.“

What we found was a great place that had outdoor seating on a deck patio with umbrellas and a TV set to watch sporting events. The service was friendly, and the food was great. The spring rolls were loaded with delicious perfectly cooked shrimp and the accompanying sauce (sweet chili with garlic and cilantro) plays nicely with them. The flounder with roasted carrots and parsnip-potato purée was as delicious as it looks. It was generously portioned and beautifully plated. We also enjoyed the mussels with parsley, shallots, and breadcrumbs pasta. My husband is Sicilian and it reminded us of the pasta con le sarde that we love to have in Sicily. The mussels were plump and delicious. The wine list is very nice. We found wines we really enjoyed and they were reasonably priced. We enjoyed the Attems, Pinot Grigio, Friuli, Italy ‘22 with our mussels and flounder, and the Fritz Haag, Riesling, Germany ‘21 with our pumpkin pie for dessert. Service was perfect.“
