“I love coming in for celiac friendly treats. Picked up 11 lemon cookies for a friends bday. It was $40 unfortunately I won’t can’t afford that all the time. Why does gluten free items have to be so expensive? Also could use a bit more lemon for that price. Still 5 ⭐️ but I wanted to share a couple suggestions.“
“We had our kids birthday cakes made by Blessed Little Kitchen and had nothing but RAVE reviews from our guests for how cute it LOOKED AND how DELICIOUS it tasted. The chocolate cake was so soft and the chocolate mousse filling was fluffy, sweet, and light. I highly recommend Blessed Little Kitchen! Mary was fabulous to work with.“
“I went today based on a FB post. I arrived a little before 2 pm on a Saturday. I noticed a very small store front with a little yellow bistro table outside. I walked in and saw drinks straight ahead like coffee and tea. Then I turned a step to the left and saw the menu and the individual pies displayed along with some desserts and breakfast items. I asked them what the cutie pies were and the owner I am assuming said it was for kids but that adults liked some of them as well. I wanted to try one but they definitely seemed small and I was really hungry. So I asked what was better the chicken curry pot pie or the steak and potato one? The owner said the chicken curry but said the steak was just as good. Okay I decided to take that chicken curry pot pie to go. She asked if I was going to eat it now or warm it up at home. I said I wanted to eat it now so she warmed it up for me. I also got a chocolate croissant. So I drove and ate the chocolate croissant which was amazing and flaky! I wish I had bought two!!! Then I parked and had the Irish chicken curry pot pie. Omg was that the best pot pie I've ever had. The top was a crusty almost croissant like layer. The flavors were amazing and I am not a huge curry person. Definitely worth going back and trying more. Just a note, they only make so many pies a day, so I got the last Irish chicken curry pot pie. And also there is no crust on the sides and bottom. Which is okay with me. The top was really flaky. Some might feel the underside of the crust is a little mushy, but it didn't bother me. I will be coming back!!!“
“wonderful new business, I've been there twice and both times I was greeted and thanked which is wonderful and unusual.. the only real complaint is they run out too early, I've made a point not to get there 2 hours before closing..I've tried different items there, peanut butter cookies, croissants, scones. all of them excellent and a bit different in a good way. I would buy more if there was more inventory and I can't be the only one thinking this, judging from all the customers I've seen in the store. I'll try you again next week.“
“We recently went to Cakes by Kash for our gender reveal cake! It was such a pleasure working with Lindsey and she made the process fun and easy. My husband and I were able to pick out flavors and everything turned out to be delicious! We will definitely be back for our next cake!“
“After two failed attempts, I eventually acquired the cinnamon square. I swear, when I placed my order using the kiosk machine, it appeared before me in a supernatural manner. I was amazed at how quickly it was ready. It was warm and moist as I bite into it. The texture and temperature were perfect, the icing was silky, and the dough was fluffy, but the flavor was weak, I didn't notice a strong cinnamon aroma.“
“I am in love with country donuts! The flavors are so delicious and you can taste the freshness. The lattes are great too! I had their cherry filled chocolate frosted donut which was generously filled, a chocolate glazed, and a lemon cake old fashioned. All were delicious! I also had a white chocolate pecan cookie which was amazing, big and chewy and sweet. Excited to visit many more times and try many more flavors. The prices are cheaper than most coffee/donuts shops. Fantastic donuts! Moist and fresh tasting. I doubt you can go wrong with anything you try at this place. The service is always bright and cheerful every day. “Pizza crust is freshly baked and you can absolutely tell this was made in a bakery. Best in the area. Also...crispiest chicken wings I’ve ever had and don’t even get me started on that tres leches cake...SO. DECADENT! Ordered here for my birthday and wasn’t disappointed!! Friendliest owners, too. “I went into J & G’s for my 1st time yesterday. I was looking for a Valentine’s treat for a “Galentine’s Party”. They sold me a super cute cookie decorating kit! I also had to snag a cinnamon roll and it was DELICIOUS! Great service!“
“Elder and Oat provided donuts and coffee for dessert at our wedding at the BRIX and the spread of donuts were not only so beautiful but so delicious! We had no leftovers with even ordering enough for the size of our wedding because people couldn’t get enough! We highly recommend using them as your dessert vendor for your wedding!“
“Ana was a pleasure to work with and so accommodating! My husband and I wanted a cake to find out the gender of our baby, so I called and asked if it was possible for her to make something for this past weekend. Not only did she make it work but the cake was absolutely delicious! It was also so pretty! We were so pleased with our experience and plan to order from her bakery again ASAP! “Visited this bakery on Groundhogs Day to get an early morning treat! They were ready for the crowds and kept the line moving. Too many yummy choices! I picked a yellow cake square with strawberry and cream - ohhhhh my! My friends had choice envy as they liked mine more than theirs! Check it out if you get a chance - there is something for everyone!“
“SUPER DELICIOUS! We get the gluten free and it's so good! can barley tell it's gluten free the only disappointment is that the gluten free only come in one flavor. A very good flavor, but still. I would love to have more gluten free options“
“I started buying Crumbl cookies when the Crystal Lake store opened. The first time I went and got my yummy four pack the girl who presented my cookies said see you next week. I laughed at her but I have been back every week to buy cookies. They are so good!!“

“I wish every city had a Tom's. Tom's Market has everything from gifts, candles, baked good, fruits/vegetables, dips, decorations, and more!It's our family tradition to go here during Thanksgiving. We get the apple cider donuts, shop around and buy stocking stuffers, and have lunch in the greenhouse. We also buy our Dutch Apple and Pumpkin pie from here for our Thanksgiving dinner. They have a soup and salad deal for lunch which is the perfect amount and so tasty. The butternut squash soup is to die for.They have a great selection of plants and flowers to shop for as well. Tom is occasionally around and is so friendly and wonderful. They also sell fresh wreaths as well during the holidays. Tom's will always hold a special place in my heart as it's a little piece of home.“

“Cute little cafe that's decorated to look like the outside of a Parisian patisserie. We went in at the end of the day, so there weren't many baked goods to choose from anymore, but we enjoyed our drinks and the atmosphere. The only drawback was the bathroom--the toilet bowl is on some kind of leg rather than a sturdy base and therefore a bit rickety. Otherwise a very nice spot to stop for a pastry and a hot drink.“
“If you're looking for an American fare restaurant the Around the Clock Restaurant is a great choice. They have a fairly typical American style menu with a little bit of something for everyone, and the small bakery area has a good enough variety to soothe anyone's sweet tooth. My wife and I both had skillets and although my wife didn't necessarily like something about her steak (maybe the marinade?), we did generally enjoy our meals. I mean, they're skillets, so there isn't much to judge as most skillets are very similar and hard to mess up. The service was great, we were checked on quite a few times during our meal, with our waters being filled without having to ask. We would definitely eat here again if we're passing through Crystal Lake.“
“My Wife and I got our wedding cake from Cheshire Cakes, they gave us exactly the vision we had in mind for our wedding cake! It turned out perfect, we would highly recommend Cheshire Cakes!! They were such a pleasure to work with, and even delivered the cake and set up our cake toppers, we did not have to worry about a thing!“
“Had an Asiago, sun dried tomato, rosemary scone from Konrads today. I was a bit on the fence about ordering it since they were out of most everything (late in the day before Easter) , and there were a bunch of only this flavor left. Got one anyway. Omg it was BOMB!!! Sooo good, so flavorful I loved it. Highly recommend this savory scone in particular, although, all of their scones are great. Heavenly. A+++“
