“Simply AMAZING! Ochoa’s is easily one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. We recently used them for catering (25 people), and everything exceeded our expectations. Communication was top-notch, portions were huge, and the food was incredible. Guests couldn’t stop talking about the juicy chicken and steak, the homemade chips and salsas, and guacamole that could honestly be eaten by the spoonful. Mr. Ochoa truly takes pride in his food — you can taste the love in every bite. Highly recommend for both dining in and catering!“

“I sat in and got the birria tacos, and they were SO good. The horchata, churros, rice, and beans were delicious and tasted authentic too. I’m extremely picky when it comes to Mexican food, so I don’t say this lightly, but everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. The owner was also incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience feel really warm and comforting. You can really tell they care about the food and the people who come in.

You can choose 3 different street tacos with rice and beans for $15! The staff was very attentive as we were outside dining. And the waiter left us a pitcher of water for the table. The food is fabulous, the carne asada tacos are delicious but the barbacoa is also excellent, not to mention probably the best carnitas I've ever had outside of Chicago. The barbacoa and carnitas are also available by the pound which is an awesome option. The ambience is very basic, two tables and a few chairs, not pretty but the food is phenomenal and prices are very reasonable.“

“Got a barbacoa burrito to go, that thing WAS stuffed with meat. I say was in all caps because that burrito was not long for this world and has found a new home in my stomach. Last meal level burrito that came with enough meat in it for you to cry at the idea you ever considered going to any of those other half-butt “burrito” restaurants. “We went to Mago in Barrington last night for the first time and were blown away. They were very busy so we sat at the bar. Service was fast and friendly. Food was terrific and the menu features things you won’t find at your standard Mexican restaurant like three choices of mole. Tableside guacamole is absolutely lovely. I have to say, though, what made our experience was watching the magnificent bartender. His efficiency, speed, and obvious dedication to what he was doing was just a marvel. He never stopped moving! We will definitely be back as every aspect of our experience was very enjoyable.“

“this my wife and I favorite Mexican place since we moved to Illinois we don’t even think about chipotle anymore. Actually, the thought of chipotle makes me wanna throw up lol but on a serious note, this is the best food all it’s consistent. Nice service great food the only thing if I was to say is that usually the locations have the AC running and so he just feels super cold and it makes the food colder so if they could turn the AC down a little bit so it’s not as cold that would be great.“
