“Me and my sister decided to try SLYCE of NY today for dinner.

I been seeing this place for a while now and my best friend also told me the pizza was decent.

We came 30 min before closing and they had only three slices left ready to eat.

We got the following items:

- 2 Chopped Cheese Slice ( 4.5/5 )
- 1 Chopped Cheese Fries ( 5/5 )

“We hired Uncle Bub’s to cater our wedding in September. We cannot begin to describe to you how amazing the staff was from the planning process, to the set up on the day of, and to the friendliness and helpfulness from the staff on our special day. The food was great and we had multiple guests express how much they enjoyed the food. During the planning process their attention to detail was unmatched and they touched on the smallest of details that I had not even thought of. They truly work hard to ensure that everything is flawless and to help ease your stress during an already stressful time. The staff went above and beyond their duties on the day of and were helping with more than just the food. They truly made the day so special for us and I cannot thank them enough. “My friend and I stopped in at Firewater BBQ in Elmhurst on Thursday Dec. 1st for the "Granny's Lunch Box Special" which is available daily from 11AM-2PM. This was my second visit and my friend's first at Firewater. We both ordered the Angus beef brisket sandwich with a side of 3 cheese Mac & Cheese and a soda. The brisket (smoked for 22 hrs) is amazingly tender and flavorful. It was piled high on a toasted brioche bun and is served with your choice of sweet or spicy BBQ sauce or both if you like. The Mac & Cheese is sooo silky-smooth and creamy and compliments the brisket quite well. There are complimentary pickled jalapeños and sweet & spicy pickles available as well. My friend was so impressed by this amazing brisket that he placed another exact order to go to bring home. The cashier who also took our order was very friendly and polite. We told one of the chefs, Shawn, (pictured) that we really enjoyed the brisket and complimented his skills. My friend and I will both be returning to Firewater BBQ and we'll definitely be letting our family and friends know about this wonderful BBQ spot.“

“I've seen this place for years, and never seen them busy. When I came in I had to wait to get service as there was only one person working (Saturday evening.) But I was not in any hurry, as I was looking for some good barbeque at a reasonable price. I was NOT disappointed!! The flavor was awesome, the ribs were fantastic, I even enjoyed the fries and the baked beans!
It is an older building and not extremely easy to find. They don't have the staff to serve lots of people, but the food is definitely worth eating if you love Barbeque!!
If you are in a hurry, you will not want to come here.

“I had the pleasure of trying the burger, sausage, broccoli salad, fries, banana pudding, Mac and queso, and sticky pork belly—and let me tell you, every single bite was an absolute delight.

The sticky pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the sausage link was perfectly juicy and bursting with flavor. The fries were golden, crispy, and even better when paired with the tangy Texas Red and Carolina Gold sauces.

The burger and the sausage link, though, were the (tied) stars of the show. Both choices are simple and very reasonably priced. The burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever tasted. Each bite was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and incredibly satisfying. The sausage link was made with a perfectly balanced blend of ingredients that made it impossible to put down.

The Mac and queso was a standout as well—completely unique and absolutely next-level. It’s not your traditional mac n’ cheese; it’s a bold, creamy creation that left me wanting more. The broccoli salad was a refreshing surprise, with a perfectly balanced tanginess and flavor that was, quite literally, DILL-icious!

I finished off the meal with their banana pudding, which was the perfect way to end such a feast. Light, airy, and just sweet enough, it was like a cloud of dessert heaven.

On top of all the incredible food, the service was quick, warm, and friendly. I can’t wait to come back and explore more of the menu—this place is a total gem!“

“I was recommended this place by my coworkers and this is honestly the best chicken I’ve ever had at a restaurant in many many many years. Food is cheap, atmosphere is friendly, owner is super nice, they even have a selection of mild to spicy sauces that’s huge and some of them they even made themselves. That Yummi sauce sure is Yummy. Give this place a shot you won’t be disappointed.“

“They had a great Bison Burger asked for it medium and got it well done. But it was good either way so I'll still give an overall 5 stars. Where this place really shines is the overall atmosphere of the place. That and our waitress was very polite and attentive to our needs. As for the food we got some about noon. And they were still on the ball when it came to service. It only took maybe 15 minutes to get it on the table. Can't ask for anything better than that. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area.

“We visited Blackwood BBQ at the Mart yesterday and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, but the staff were incredible. My brother is deaf, and Darnell and Demetrius were patient and helpful, communicating with him directly rather than looking to me for help communicating with him. This seems like a small gesture, but it's a really big deal for us and we appreciated their kindness.“

“My fiancé and I have been a gyro war. I’m a Skokie Dengeos girl and he’s a diehard Squabs fan. While it’s hard to compete with childhood memories after trying Squabs I totally get it. The gyro was perfectly cooked, the tzatziki was beautiful, the fries were delicious. The absolute standout was the customer service. I was having such a bad day. I confused the gyro plate with the gyro dinner and they took such good care of me. I had cried the whole ride over and left with the biggest smile and a plate of leftovers. 10/10 I will be coming back every chance I get.“

“My first visit to Char Kabobs was excellent! I wasn’t sure what to order because I’m not (yet!) super familiar with the cuisine. The chef? recommended the Chicken Boti wrap and it was delicious! I’d asked for it spicy and it had the perfect amount of heat for me. Freshly prepared, flavorful tender chicken, lots of onions, just the right amount of lettuce and delicious sauce all wrapped up in fresh flat bread. I will definitely be back to try more items!
