We got the carnitas skillet and the chile rellano omelette and both were some of the best breakfasts I’ve had in the city. The carnitas were perfect and the omelette was fluffy and the sauce with the omelette was my FAV. when we left my partner said “this is our new breakfast spot” and I can’t wait to try lunch!“

“My wife and I were walking around Oak Park when we came across this place. We stopped at Starbucks and then we ran into pure green and decided to stop in. The way we were greeted by the owner was enough to make us want to throw out the Starbucks. Very respectful and welcoming atmosphere. I recommend the Mixed Berry Acai bowl and tropical breeze smoothie! The owner offered us the “wake me up” shot and blue-biotic shot. They’re definitely worth it. “I go to this location quiet often, but I was extremely disappointed as well as angry with what I saw today at this location. (3/9/25 at 5:35pm) The 3 customers that were ahead of me placed their orders were first timers I found out. The young lady that was fixing their smoothies dropped a cup on the floor, picked the cup up from the floor then sat the cup to the side. As she finished one smoothie she pulled a fresh cup, then the 2nd smoothie she proceeded to pour it in the cup that she picked up off the floor. I told the young lady that took my order, so she then pulled the young to the side to tell her that I saw what she did then she looks at me and says "I'm Sorry" (I said to her): What do mean you are sorry, why would you do that, and why are you giving that to her, you need to remake that smoothie ...and guess what she did not. I'm just want to make people aware: Watch the people that prepare your sandwiches/smoothies or anything of that sort. It's not their stuff, they're not paying for it so they don't care. That was just the epitome of nasty and extremely unsanitary. She didn't have on a Tropical Cafe shirt, she had on a gray shirt, she may have been new, I'm not sure but we need to learn to do better when working with the public. Don't do things to people that you don't want done to you!!!!! FYI...the name on the ticket was: Shelia G“

“I stopped by earlier because I saw a picture of Dr. Sebi on the window and it caught my attention because Dr. Sebi really inspired me to loose weight and eat alkaline things instead of all that junk food i use to eat and the moment i came in this place i felt a great vibe and it smell great i had a mushroom coffee and some alkiline water and it was delicious i will continue to go back and try other things they have a lot of alkaline things that are good for the body and the owner and the rest of the crew in there are so friendly.“

“I have only ever had a smoothie, and it’s genuinely the best one I’ve ever had. My only complaint is the smell. It smells like a dirty mop and mildew everytime, which makes it really hard to stay in there. I’ve been to multiple smoothie places, and this is the only one that smells like that.“

“The employees were friendly, communicative and patient. For drinks, I tried an iced dragon rose and mango matcha. Both drinks were delicious and well balanced. The no tuna toastie came on a crunchy slice of toast, garnished with grape tomatoes and microgreens. It had the right amount of filling to bread in my opinion. Finally the tiramisu was light but sturdy with a nice bottom crust. My least favorite item was the praline, but mostly because it had a softer texture than what I was expecting. The flavors worked well together though.“

It is always so good and even though its big orders, everything is always correct and nothing is ever missing! Recently I accidently made order for pick up when i meant to do delivery but I called the location and they said no problem and made the delivery themselves. The food and smoothies are always so good and fresh!!!“

“Ohhh sweet summer flavors and memories are found at Xurro! They have a great menu of many ways to get your sugar fix from sundaes to smoothies and seasonal flavors too. You can even get a variety of flavors in your ice cream base, vanilla or strawberry or Superman! It being my first time I decided on a classic sundae with churros and I was pleasantly surprised. The churros are crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and have the perfect dusting of sugar. It was gone before I made it home! A little on the higher side for price but it’s fair for all that you get.“

“Wow this place is gorgeous, I first walked in and thought I was transported to a different place, but I do have some bad things to say other than the good food, me and my friend had there crepes and they were delicious but not worth the 14 dollars for the pizza slice portion they gave us. The complaint I have was that the used all of the budget on the dining room but couldn’t afford to spruce up the restrooms. The floor in the bathrooms was cracking, the toilet was leaking, the door had to be slammed closed because it wasn’t on the hinges properly. The employee outside of the bathroom was also smoking indoors. Food was delish though!“

“Loved this coffee shop! The chorizo and cheese empanada were delicious, especially with the sauce on the side. Breakfast sandwich with pesto was perfectly toasted and toppings balanced nicely. I tried the “banana pancake” coffee, which was not too sweet and very creamy! My friend tried the “butter me up”, which was delicious. I would recommend getting an extra shot of espresso with the drinks!“
