“Asked for a slice of sausage pizza, one small order of fries, and grape crush soda. Paid and took to the restroom to wash my hands. Came out with two slices of pizza and two cans of grape soda. I was confused. Asked the register lady if she charged me for two and she said no they cut the slice in half and it comes with an extra can of pop. Was charged $14 bucks. Not what I ordered. Pizza and fries are fire tho. AC was on point.“

“My wife and I got the Mongolian Beef and the Shrimp w/ Broccoli Lunchboxes (came with fried rice, egg roll and a drink). The Mongolian Beef was well cooked but was missing spice and was mostly sweet. Their best dishes by far are the Lo Mein, Orange Chicken and the Salt Pepper Shrimp.“

“This place is the coolest bar I have been to in a long time, hip and fun but not pretentious. They paid attention to every detail when building and designing. The white marbel bar has clean lines and looks fresh. All of the hardware finishes look sharp and clean. The patio is large and inviting with a fire place and plenty of tables to sit at. The drink menu is creative and refreshing and the staff is kind and welcoming. I cannot say enough good things about this gem of a bar. I am excited to hang out this fall on the patio by the fireplace with good drink in My hand.“

“I have gone to Andros Taverna for many years now where I am never disappointed and always impressed with the service, the quality of food and ingredients, the atmosphere and the passion in general. Chef Doug Psaltis is a true expert and artist performing at the highest levels. The gyros are the best, best gyros in Chicago by far, the seafood world class, the homemade bread and pita are incredible. The foods and meats are cooked over wood fire, wood fire grilled. We had our daughters baptism catered from here which was excellent assortment of Greek food - this is a Greek restaurant you will go to for many years to come.“

“We understand why it’s named Gretel… if you’re wondering where Hansel is, he starved to death waiting for his burger. To be fair, it’s one of the best burgers you can get in Chicago BUT you should not come here if you have any other plans that evening. It took 30 minutes longer to be seated than they initially told us (over an hour and a half total). Once we were seated, pretty sure the waiter forgot about us at our table, but it didn’t really matter because the vibes were high 👌🏼 The drinks were great, but consider bringing your own because you’ll grow a five o’clock shadow waiting for your next round. The host, Jonah, was the shining star of the evening and was truly hilarious. But our waitress kept trying to argue that “well” and “well done” were different levels of doneness, so that was annoying (and slightly concerning). Overall, the food was phenomenal, but it was a very slow experience - the antithesis of “fast” food.“

“Honestly, a great bar with good beer. It loses a star because almost every night, one of their bartenders sits outside and very loudly revvs his motorcycle before leaving. I live very close and it is very disturbing. If someone in marketing sees this review please tell him to be more considerate.“

They also own the tea room and book store next to the cafe. Owners are THE BEST! Welcoming, personable and humorous. Dinning outside available and pups are welcome! “We needed a place to stay close to the Concord music hall, and found the Leavitt St. Inn and Tavern. Every element of our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. The menu at the inn was a purposefully short, curated list of bar food, and everything we tried was incredible. The tavern had a great neighborhood feel, and the room we stayed in was well-appointed, and just right for my wife and me. We met the owners within a few moments of arriving, and immediately felt welcomed. I highly recommend the Leavitt St. Inn and Tavern to anyone looking for a hidden gem of a place to stay while visiting Chicago. We can't wait until we travel north again, because we know where we are staying! 5 stars! A++++“
