“Bernice, Jim, and their crew at 31 North made our wedding day amazing! The crew came to the reception venue the Friday before to set up the tables, the bar, etc. which was very helpful for us to see the dinner and cocktail hour areas all set up before the big day. On the big day, the staff was very attentive to us (the bride and groom) as well as all of the guests, ensuring timely passing of appetizers and fast serving of the dinner courses. Also, the dinner was nice and hot, showing that the final stages of cooking were completed at the reception venue just prior to serving. All of the staff were so kind. During the year leading up to the wedding, Bernice was very responsive via email, answering all of my questions and adjusting our proposal countless times with any additions or subtractions. She was also very accommodating when we wanted to add a few extra desserts, plate some of the dinner courses separately, etc. Overall, we’d highly recommend 31 North for any of your catering needs in the McHenry, Hebron, Woodstock areas of IL! Today - based on the owner's recommendation - we started with a cupl of their meat and veggie soup that did not make it on the official menu - sorry missed a photo of it - delish! 😍 Pork, chicken and beef in a savory broth chock full of veggies - carrots, celery, onion 🤤 followed that with the egg salad appetizer, one of our absolute favs 🤩 4 toasted rounds of bread with their excellent egg salad 👍 then we tried the new potato pancakes entree for the first time, which came topped with assorted grilled veggies, plus toast, eggs and hollandaise sauce.. we got the eggs scrambled, rye toast buttered, sauce on the side, and requested a side of sour cream. YUM 😋 ended up with the vanilla cake with vanilla frosting - sorry to miss a photo of that too. Awesome! Service was timely, water glasses attentively refilled, as was the coffee too. $31 Note: it was one order of each item as we always split 🤯 We also got 2 bloody Marys and 2 mimosas, plus a Bailey's, kahlua and amaretto mix to add to our coffee as a nightcap from Old Bridge Tavern next door $48 Left with no leftovers and completely satisfied, happy and full.”

Not today! We have finally found a restaurant that delivers in all the areas we have been looking for and then some. Listen, want to know how to spot a good Mexican restaurant , try their chip and salsa and their aqua de horchata. If they’re stale, you’ll know first hand what to expect.

Well, let me tell you that not only did this place feel welcoming, their food was delicious! The tamales was the key factor in this as well as their rice. My brother and I were left satisfied and happy. The owner reminds me of my father, someone who fights to make a living and the way everyone here treats their customers is outstanding! I can see why the people who kept arriving had a smile on and just respected as if they were familia.

“My family of six ate at Culvers in McHenry on Tuesday, Dec 31 about 1:30. We were greeted with a pleasant hello. The lady who took our order got it right and was pleasant.Since were a group of 6, I figured it would take a little longer to get our order. That wasn't the case. Not only did the order come quickly, but is also accurate. That was wonderful! When we were nearing the end of our meal, a gentleman, (Jude, I believe) can around with free samples of the flavor of the day (Mint explosion). Never has that happened at Colvers to me in the many times I eat at different Culvers! What a nice touch! Upon leaving, we got a cheery Thank you, have a great day and happy new year. I wish I lived a little closer because Culvers in McHenry would definitely be my go to place. Thank you for good food and the kindness you all showed.”

“We have been going there for the last five years bragging about the hamburgers. Went there today order the hamburger it came out. Almost fully well done very poor quality. One asked If I could have gotten it rare was told menu says medium well. Meat was of a quality as if it was cooked earlier this week. Definitely will not be going back for hamburgers. Was told by the waitress No one will ask you how you want it done it says on the menu. We used to consider it best burger in town.”

“Went here for the first time service was exceptional. They let us know today was mothers day in mexico which I loved it doesnt change anything but it was cute that they mentioned it to us. They stopped us on our way out to give me and my friend roses for mothers day. They were quick and on top of everything, very attentive. Two mom with two little ones was a challenge but they made us feel very welcome. The enchiladas were great 9.5/10 the quesabirria was ok 6.5/10 not my favorite I couldve order soemthing else but I was happy enough. Absolutely would go back again.”

Parking: The entrance is not wheel chair friendly but there is wheel chair parking.”

“I have been to Stellas at least a dozen or so times. I can only speak for myself and share my experiences. There have been at least 4-5 different people working upon my visits. The staff have always welcomed me to the establishment an have always asked me if I wanted something to drink and or something to munch on at no cost to me no matter how much I ate or drank. That being said I’m sure there’s drinks or eats at a cost. No persons or employee has ever watched what I did or how much money I spent. I know it’s called gambling for a reason. “I Came back to McHenry to visit family and decided to try Antioch pizza in McHenry!!! Was not disappointed!!! It was Tuesday and saw that the stuffed pizzas are only available on Tuesday. so I decided to get one! Literally one of the absolute best Chicago style pizzas I've had in years!!!! I see why they are voted best pizza in 2024!!! I mean the thin crust is good here too but specifically the stuffed pizza was ridiculously delicious!!!! I'll be back in a year on a Tuesday!!!
