Needed more last minute when OF COURSE my Amazon order with more wafer paper sheets in it didn’t show up! This place wasn’t far and super sweet! Really great to know that if I need some last minute items I can get them locally from a small business instead of ordering from Amazon. Thank you for being here and being so sweet! “So today I had a friend in from out of town and we topped off our afternoon with a visit to Miski Bakery. I was dying to try the alfajores, and they did not disappoint! The very delicate morsels melted in our mouth, and the creamy luscious dollop of dulce de leche caramel was a perfect pairing. In addition we tried the Milhojas/Napoleons in two flavors the Lucuma pastry creme and also the dulce de leche. A thousand layers is correct, these were amazingly tall, crispy and filled with air, both were delicious but the Lucuma(a Peruvian fruit) pastry creme was the standout. It had such a delightful delicate flavor I had never tasted previously. After speaking with Carmen the owner I asked whether or not they ever carried Turrón de doñja Pepa. She just happened to have some freshly baked sitting on the tray behind the counter, but alas it was still awaiting its filling. This gives me a great reason to return and indulge in that special treat. It is prepared every other week. The service was warm and friendly. This is definitely a hidden gem in the neighborhood you shouldn't miss out on. I will be returning often.“

“Hard to not get everything behind the pastry counter! Delicious pastry assortment, savory and sweet-something for everyone! Don’t skip on the pimento biscuit. Super crispy and great balance of buttery, cheesy, perfect amount of pimento in the middle. Coffees tasted great. Wasn’t super busy on a Sunday at 9 but I could see it picking up a bit later. Plenty of seating inside and outside.“

My favorites have to be the white bean bread, every cream bread, and mocha castella. Always fresh, super soft, and not too sweet. I would like to visit the main location one day for a special occasion cake.“

“We love Eli’s Cheesecake in Chicago and have been coming every year ( at least 10 years as of now) to pick up cheesecakes for the holidays. We usually buy 20+ cheesecakes for our friends and neighbors, and the service is always wonderful. Rosa, the store manager, was always especially kind and helpful during our visits. So and Bryan and the rest of the team this past holiday were friendly and helpful too.

“I went yesterday when visiting Chicago. I had never had it before but I went by the recommendations of Skokie residents and I was very impressed. I took 6 desserts home to Kentucky and my only regret is I didn’t take more oatmeal raisin cookies. Those were absolutely phenomenal.“

“I do think these are the best donuts in Chicago area, or that I've ever had, specifically the glaze and the chocolate. I'm from Texas and have high standards for simple yeast donuts. The Chicago area is really lacking in independent donut shops, so when I found these, I was so happy. I found the original D&Ds location a couple of years ago, but was happy when this location opened as it's closer to me. There is a very professional and kind young man that we've seen work the register at the shop a couple of times, and the owner always offers up samples to newbies, so the service here is great. The food and service are truly 5 stars.
The only downfall of this place is, as other reviews have mentioned, there have been multiple times I've tried to come during business hours, and they are unexpectedly closed for the day. And I'm left heartbroken. To avoid this, I would definitely call before heading there. I won't stop going because I truly believe in their product, but I definitely won't head there unless I've confirmed they're open.“

“We drove from Genoa City Wisconsin because we heard how delicious everything was. We were NOT disappointed. The meat on our sandwiches, one corned beef and one pastrami, was piled high! Homemade brined pickles and bakery items exceeded our expectations. Worth the drive and we will be back.“

I’m glad we did! The place is cozy, almost feels like a cute European cafe. We bought a variety of tiramisu flavors, and the honey cake. They were all so good and fresh tasting. The person who helped us was also very sweet and recommended a few items.“

“Super friendly guys there. This was my 2nd Crumbl stop tonight as the 1st one off Golf (across from golf mill mall) did not honor my free bulls mini cookie. They said they didn’t have any chocolate chip cookies. So I called the one off Touhy Ave in Niles and the fellow named Cesar was super friendly and helpful and said they’d honor it. So I drove there and they did! At the store, Cesar was super friendly and the other fellow working there too. So nice compared to the employees at the Crumbl near me in Skokie. I avoid that location at all costs! They (Skokie location) have no customer service skills and would benefit from some training in customer service. Could learn a thing or two from Cesar and his coworker.“
