“Maan this was a great find. I'm the East Coast and worked in New York City for years where halal and halal food trucks are really popular and this is tastes like some of the spots out there. Ive tried a handful of spots even in the city and this is by far the best. Falafels were perfectly crispy and flavored too. I'll be coming back for sure“

“I had an amazing experience at Dua. I ordered a steak with a side of mashed potatoes and a drink. It was a meal to remember.

It’s hard to find good halal steak nowadays, especially at a good price.

The food was cooked perfectly to my liking and our server, Sam, was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations.

The restaurant was beautifully decorated and was quite inviting.

“Their Kabuli Pulau is so good! The most tender and flavorful lamb leg in the chicago area. And their rice! Moist and perfectly seasoned.
Better than Kabobi, better than Kabul.
Service is good and they are attentive.
Atmosphere is calm, nice vibes to enjoy their cardamom tea after your meal.

I had the Wings with Spicy Teriyaki and Lemon pepper fries. Churros made fresh, paired well with the Nutella dip. Overall great vibe, great food, service and price! A burger joint in a strip mall doesn’t inspire confidence, but you walk into this cozy place, with attractive wall murals, and somehow you get the feeling that you’re in the right place. We were in a rush, so came here for a quick lunch - ordered the following: double cheeseburgers, peri peri burgers, veggie samosa burger (off menu) and mango habañero wings….and EVERYTHING was fantastic!!! The double cheeseburgers were juicy, and succulent, the peri peri grilled chicken burger was tender and saucy, the wings were absolutely delicious, crisp despite the mango habañeeo sauce which had the perfect level of sweet heat. Lastly, the veggie burger - so the menu has FANTASTIC samosas, so when we asked if they had a veggie burger, they told us they can prepare a delicious burger using their veggie samosa. Imagine our skepticism, and then our utter shock, when it turned out to be the most delicious spicy, saucy samosa burger we have ever sunk our teeth in! Overall, an excellent experience, but with all the personnel exuding immense warmth and gracious hospitality. Definitely coming here OVER and OVER again!!! Yum!“

“My husband and I enjoyed a delicious and authentic middle eastern meal this past weekend. The food was fresh and flavorful. The owner did the cooking and we even learned a few words of Arabic with his help! Shkran! The location is tricky to find as the restaurant is tucked away in the corner of a strip mall on Cumberland Avenue. We live in the northern suburbs, but were in the Norridge area on business. We might even travel to Bab al Salam for no reason at all! There is plenty of casual seating and many people stopped in for take out. Enjoy!“

“Recently discovered this place. Seems like a good selection of Pakistani & Indian pantry staples. Good selection of frozen items. I try to get samosas here as often as I can, but they often sell out before 5pm. Chicken 65 and biriyani are pretty good, especially if you catch it on the special. The butcher has some very good looking meat, but I have yet to purchase any. Staff are very helpful when prompted. Last time I was there they were out of samosas so I grabbed some out of the freezer. They actually had me put them back and showed me which was the better brand!“

“We tried Byrd’s Hot Chicken in Skokie and it was absolutely worth it! We ordered the Byrd Bomb (crispy tenders with cheese, slaw, 24 karat sauce, pickles on bread and hot toast) and it was packed with flavor. The hot chicken sandwich was juicy and had the perfect kick, while the crispy Byrd wrap was a great twist with amazing crunch. We also got a full order of wings, and they were cooked perfectly—crispy on the outside and tender inside.
The drinks selection is solid (Pepsi products) and paired perfectly with the heat. Service was great, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the place had plenty of space with lots of parking available.
If you’re looking for delicious hot halal chicken with great portions and excellent service, this is the spot. Definitely coming back! Also they are on uber eats and open super late“

“Peri Peri is definitely one of my favorite types of cuisines and the port of peri peri is by far the best! Anytime I visit the chicken is well marinated, flavorful and tender. I would highly recommend the chicken tender rice bowl since they are well portioned. Definitely check this place out as well as their other locations!“
