“The catering was great BEST deals compared to other restaurants in that area. Food was fresh and flavorful especially the Italian beef.... definitely had me surprised. The fried chicken was good could use a bit more seasoning. Whipped potatoes were amazing you could actually see the melted butter on top, baked beans yummy even the cole slaw was good. I HIGHLY RECOMMED and we will definitely be using them for catering again. .THANK YOU D'MASTI our staff loved everything ❤️“

“Our family reunion was this past weekend. 55 of us enjoyed seeing each other again and feasting on the great food from Polonia. Some of the best fried chicken we’ve had in a long time. And of course the Polish sausage and dumplings, too. Mac n cheese was delicious. Polonia does not scrimp on the amount of food either. “I recently got married at Morgan MFG and Gerard/Occasions catered the meal. Everyone from our wedding has commented on our food and how fresh and amazing it was. The food came out hot (which RARELY happens at a wedding with 200+ guests). The service was phenomenal and I couldn't speak more highly of Gerard and all of the staff. If you are between a few options - choose occasions.“

“My family utilized Southland to cater my wedding rehearsal dinner. Due to Covid-19, no restaurants were accepting our party of 20 into any indoor or outdoor seated areas. ? But I am glad because Southland did NOT disappoint! The food was incredible! We ordered jerk chicken, lemon broiled chicken, and Italian sausage and peppers. We paired our meats with their rolls, glazed carrots, and roasted potatoes! Everything was seasoned well, juicy, and tasted incredible. We literally had no leftovers ??. Pricing was super affordable and food was nice and hot at arrival. Would absolutely recommend for rehearsal dinner, parties, large family gatherings, etc. Thank you so much Nick, for coming to our rescue!! Nick was so friendly, professional, and incredible to work with throughout this process.“

“So I went here for the first time using the Too Good to Go app (also for the first time). First off, it was a great amount of food. They usually price a meal like this at $20, which is honestly a little bit much, but we got it for $4.99, which was an INCREDIBLE deal. The taste? Not bad at all! Mac and cheese was cheesy and creamy. Fish was crispy and well seasoned, a wee bit salty for my taste, but not horrible in the least. The sweet potatoes, however, were honestly a little meh. But again, not terrible. I would definitely go back thru app, and I think I will probably be back as a regular customer so I can experience more of what they have to offer.“
“We had our son's first birthday here and cannot say enough good things about Gilhooleys. The manager Jim was incredibly helpful and easy to work with. The staff the day of was amazing and friendly. The food (we did the brunch option) was so delicious. We got so many compliments about the food and the space from our guests. It was our first time hosting a party so we were nervous, but Gilhooleys made everything easy for us. We are so grateful for such a wonderful time!“

“I had a catered event on October 2nd. The food was excellent!! Especially the Italian beef and Mac and cheese. Went to drop off stuff snd decided to have lunch since we were there. The Reuben was to die for!! As was the beef sandwich. We also loved the fries. Thank you Jim for making the food for our 30th anniversary party . I would highly recommend using them for all of your catering needs. And if you are in Thorton, pick up lunch. You won’t regret it.“

“I had the BEST experience with Honey's Chicken! I had to place a large order for catfish fillets for my wedding, and the owner actually came out to assist me with the order. He and his staff were very nice and accommodating. Not only were they nice, but the fish was AMAZING! I had to scramble to make sure my husband and I had fish. I'm truly grateful for the service. You guys are a blessing. Much success to you.“
“Very friendly and I was greeted as soon as I walked in. Food was delicious 1/2 Henny chicken, green beans & potatoes, and macaroni & cheese) and seasoned perfectly, except for the bed of rice that the 1/2 Henny chicken was served on. I will return, but I'll ask for extra Henny sauce on the chicken. I am particular about macaroni & cheese, and this was perfect. Black-owned establishment as well.“

“It was my first time here and it was definitely worth it! I got the loaded jerk chicken nachos and the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls and they both were excellent! The sauce that’s on the egg rolls compliments it so well. 10/10 for both items, would definitely recommend! I’ll be back real soon!“

“I am recommending the restaurant based on past experiences at previous location. Even though the service was slow, the food was delicious and the man who served us had a great attitude. However, this new location is closer to my house and I would be a frequent customer if they would ever answer the phone. I called both numbers on this page. One is out of service the other never gets answered. I want to see this restaurant succeed. It is Black owned and I want to support it. Please update your number on Facebook to the correct number that will get answered. Until I am able to call to place an order, I will place my order at Daisy's Cafe 2 in Hazel Crest. It's a longer drive, but They always answer their phone.“
