“Very delicious tacos, mango lassi, chicken spring rolls!“

“I had to order quite a bit of  food for a lunch for my family and I before we were supposed to be going to a wedding. We stayed at a hotel nearby and knew that we would not eat dinner until much later and needed something to hold us over. This place was the perfect option.
Not only was I able to get the prices over the phone, the people who work here texted me pictures of food, sent prices and confirmed sizes with me and gave recommendations about how much to get for how many people, including telling me how long before I needed to order to make sure I got my order ready in time for pick up since I was ordering in advance.
The Afghani palaou was fantastic, as was the garlic and spicy green sauce.
I especially loved the mix kabobs and I wish they had this option at all afghan/ pakistani places. The option to get a mix tray of kabobs with the pieces cut up would be a game changer for parties!
I ordered a small tray of salad thinking not many people would like it (but I like salad so I figured I would have leftovers for later), but to my surprise that was gobbled up quick! Everyone loved it. I'm a fan of this place and plan on dining in when I come next!“

“We had an excellent dining experience at Ya Hala restaurant.
The mixed grill was flavorful and perfectly cooked,
And the real star of the meal was the eggplant fatteh ( try to order it in advance it’s freshly cooked) . The combination of flavors was simply outstanding, making it a dish I would highly recommend to anyone , homemade quality !“

The owner came over to our table and introduced himself and was very cordial and we had a smiling exchange. He came back again after we had a chance to sample our dinner to see that all was ok. The flavors were outstanding and plate presentation equally so. The dining room may be straightforward but the staff are eager to please and deliver an authentic meal.“

“Love this place. I've been here a few times. The hot chicken sandwich, nachos, and fries are always great. This most recent visit I tried a double smashburger with smash peppers, spicy chopped cheese, and onion rings. The burger was probably the best smashburger I ever had, the beef and bun tasted really fresh, burger patties were crispy and seasoned, and the sauce went really well with it. The chopped cheese was really good, and onion rings were crispy, hot, and seasoned. Highly recommend this place. Everything I've had there is good.“

“I had an amazing experience at Dua. I ordered a steak with a side of mashed potatoes and a drink. It was a meal to remember.

It’s hard to find good halal steak nowadays, especially at a good price.

The food was cooked perfectly to my liking and our server, Sam, was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations.

The restaurant was beautifully decorated and was quite inviting.

“We found this restaurant while walking around the neighborhood. The service was excellent. Staff always friendly and attentive. The menu had items new to us, which we loved exploring. We enjoyed the lamb kebab and manty dumplings. Delicious.“

“Great no fuss late night spot where Uzbeks and Kryrgs and others can come and have tea and chat and enjoy a familiar meal. Various products for sale or to take home. You won't get many words from them. Service is a bit slow but the Food is amazing. Restaurant space is chill and accommodating, plenty of room to sit. Food comes out piping hot. Hours are loose. Show up and see whether they're open. Sometimes they'll hang out past 12 and let people sit in and relax and enjoy their meal. Great spot, glad I found it. Instant favorite.“

“Tried the Tava Fish Fry, Chicken 65 Biryani, and Mysore Masala Dosa. All items were quite good overall. A couple of minor points: the biryani would benefit from a saalna or gravy accompaniment, and the masala coating on the tava fish fry felt slightly thick or caked on. Otherwise, enjoyable meal.“

We just had a party for 30, and I should have just put out a banner so people would stop asking me where the food was from 💖. All were very impressed!“

The staff was super accommodating and the Veg Thali (sampler platter) was absolutely divine. My friends got the Mutton Thali and Chicken Thali and said it is some of the best food they've had in Chicago. Spice level is definitely on the hotter side of restaurants I've been to but that made for a great meal. Incredibly affordable too. At ~$15 per person and plenty of tasty leftovers that keep well, I'll definitely be making a point to return soon.“

“Tucked away from the main street in Devon is this humble place for some fantastic North Indian cuisine. Great authentic taste !!Had both the tandoori chicken and the chicken along with garlic naan and plain parathas and everything was delicious - Everything served hot and fresh. The tandoori chicken is made after ordering so will take approx 30 mins to be served but it’s worth the wait. The only thing that stuck out as an anomaly is the chicken looks more reddish than regular meat. It could be likely due to the red chilly spice used or maybe a little bit of food coloring ( not sure ).

This not a fine dine but a regular walk in restaurant with limited seating so pls set expectations accordingly. If you are a lover of Indian cuisine, highly recommend checking this out.“

The owner did the cooking and we even learned a few words of Arabic with his help! Shkran! The location is tricky to find as the restaurant is tucked away in the corner of a strip mall on Cumberland Avenue. We live in the northern suburbs, but were in the Norridge area on business. “Recently discovered this place. Seems like a good selection of Pakistani & Indian pantry staples. Good selection of frozen items. I try to get samosas here as often as I can, but they often sell out before 5pm. Chicken 65 and biriyani are pretty good, especially if you catch it on the special. The butcher has some very good looking meat, but I have yet to purchase any. Staff are very helpful when prompted. Last time I was there they were out of samosas so I grabbed some out of the freezer. They actually had me put them back and showed me which was the better brand!“
