“We love it here! It's a great atmosphere with super friendly staff. Good prices and even better food. Drinks are a good price too and they have rotating cans to try new beers every time we go. Our favorite menu items are the pizza, island patty melt, wings, and the Mac and cheese bites! This is our favorite location for date night and it's top of mind for a great bar to sit at. Plus you have bowling and pool tables right there as well.“

“My husband and I have been coming here for years. The owners, Chris and Nikki and the bartender, Monica are always welcoming and take good care of us. Nice atmosphere, good company, lots of tvs if you want to watch the game, great music playing in the background. The food is always very good and freshly made. Some of our favorites are the chicken kabobs, the Jerry's Special, and the burgers, which are excellent! Half price martinis on Wednesdays with a long list of options to choose from. We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday there and they were very accommodating and everyone had a great time!“

“Finally got to check out Schnell's Brauhaus the evening of Sunday 4/14, for the first time ever! Was in the mood for German food after having some fantastic German food at Kegel's Inn up in West Allis, WI this past Friday night 4/12 before the Luke Combs concert at American Family Field! My friend that recommended Kegel's also recommended Schnell's since she herself is German and grew up having her German grandma's amazing cooking from The Fatherland! Anyway, I ordered $125 of take-out from Schnell's this past evening and left a tip of over 30%! In brief, all the food tasted great (fresh, flavorful, and in large portions)! My order was accurate and ready for pick up in 20 minutes! For appetizers, I ordered the Brat Bite Basket, Curry Wurst with Fries, Bavarian Pretzel, and Cheese Curds! For entrees, I ordered the Veal Schnitzel and Sausage Platter, with sides of German Potato Salad and Buttered Green Beans! For dessert, I ordered the Apple Strudel! Like I said, all the food was absolutely DELICIOUS! I think I might be dining in next time I come in though since I saw that the restaurant had outdoor seating in front plus the inside of the restaurant looked clean, cozy and welcoming (they had tvs behind the bar plus an arcade game section). In addition, there were entire families with kids having a great time both inside and outside of the restaurant! So, looks like I won't have to make the schlep all the way to Wisconsin nor ChIraq the next time I'm craving German food!“

“This is a cool spot in Highwood. Nothing really stands out as exceptional, but everything was pretty good.I got the rueban sandwich because we were there on St Patrick's Day. It was ok. The plain French fries were very average, but the truffle fries were much better.The calamari was good, but the other appetizers were not so much. The goat cheese was bland and the crab cakes were small and mushy.I had an alcohol free cocktail and it was good, but not $9 good.The cheeseburger and chicken sandwich were both loved by our dining partners.The service was pretty slow, but I'm sure they were under staffed since it was a holiday weekend.“

“During many of my reviews, I left my camera bag on the restaurant floor because I didn't want to disrupt their business by pulling up a chair for another table. However, the server here gave me an extra chair and took care of my camera bag. I've never experienced such hospitality in a restaurant before. And when I needed something, all I had to do was raise my hand, and the server would come over to me. -Seafood Jjampong Stew: It was really good. However, I wish they had more seafood. -Oden Soup: it was on the house. Even my daughter, a picky eater, said it was excellent. My personal opinion is that the service was top notch and the flavors were good enough to give this place a 5 star review. If you're a fan of Korean food, this is a must-visit on your next trip to Chicago.“

“I was actually amazed there were not more customers eating. There were just as many people at the bar as there were on the slot machines & just as many in the dining area. I think it's a perfect place for good food, gambling & drinks. I'm sure the place is great when they have bands perform. Definitely going back again.“

The atmosphere is very chill and the service is good. the blonde bartender is the best (No names) The only reason I did not give Service and Atmosphere 5 stars is because there were a couple of instances where we walked in and were not greeted by anyone. The bar had not been cleaned from previous customers (empty drinks, dirty glasses, and food crumbs) and there was no clean spot to sit. We stood there for almost 5 minutes, watching the bartender talk to some guy at the corner end of the bar. She never even looked up for us to get her attention. Other than those couple of times, it’s been great! We also love to play the machines when we go there ?“

“Kilcoyne has great food and great service. I highly recommend this hidden gem. We were visiting from Nashville and we were looking for some good food and were not disappointed. It has a bar on one side and restaurant seating on the other, separated by the kitchen. We had our nine year old son with us and sat on the restaurant side of the building. We happened to dine in on steak night and boy, did my husband and my son enjoy their meal! One got the New York Strip and the other got the Ribeye. Both steaks came with a loaded baked potato and broccoli. They couldn't quit talking about how tasty it was. I got the Bacon, Bacon, Bacon L and T. As the name suggests, this sandwich was loaded down with crispy, tasty bacon with some lettuce and tomato and was very good. It came with chips which was a good pairing to the sandwich. Come on in and ask for Sarah. She is a hard worker who will make sure your experience is a great one!“

“I visited Peggy Kinnane's at the recommendation of someone I struck up a conversation with while waiting in line a few weeks back. I was told if I wanted really good food to celebrate St Patrick's Day that I should go to Peggy Kinnane's-and I was told correct! Even though I didn't quite make it for St. Patrick's Day, I did find the food absolutely delicious! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the service is great! I definitely recommend checking out Peggy Kinnane's!“

“For the first time this season, we ate alfresco at Harp and Fiddle. My wife ordered orecchiette pasta and I had steak tacos. Both were delicious.Our waitress was Anastasia, was fabulous from beginning to end. The restaurant was busy and she never lost her smile and kind demeanor. Fun vibe, too.“
