“The delivery person was SUPER AWESOME!!!! I was in the middle of a heated water gun fight. I didn’t see him and almost got him by accident. Then he started to laugh with us. So SUPER AWESOME delivery person. Glad that they have employees that are like that!!!!

“I originally put in an order thru the Pizza Hut app and once I received my order and started eating it there was an issue with the pineapple on the pizza. We took it in and spoke with the manager Mark and he was absolutely phenomenal in taking care of our issues. He checked out the issue then made sure to apologize and immediately corrected it by making me brand new food to replace the one that was messed up. He was not only accountable but very professional and happy to correct any issues we had! Will definitely continue ordering from there!“

“I spent a few days in Carbondale with my son as he was going to grad school at SIU for sculpture. Cummare’s was recommended to us in Murphysboro. I have to say it was the most delicious pizza I have had in my 57 years on this earth. I know that’s a huge comment to make but we had a ham, mushroom, onion and pineapple pizza that was just perfect, that’s the only word I could use to describe it. Everything we ordered was absolutely great but the pizza heavenly. The service was wonderful, friendly and so nice and attentive. I would highly recommend Cummare’s to anyone and will definitely return anytime my son allows me to visit :-)“

“Fantastic dinner tonight! Met the new owners, fantastic people. We had a thin crust pizza and it was amazing. We opted for the chewy thin and it was perfect, toppings were great and the cheese was perfect. I had a fountain Coca Cola and my husband enjoyed Blue Moon on draft. Our server was very nice and the place was clean. 10 out of 10!! We cant wait to go back and try some sandwiches!“

“Their food never disappoints and they're so friendly. We visited with our 6 year old who was extremely curious about their pizza oven. When we mentioned it in conversation, they gave him a surprise cooking lesson and showed him all about it. Talk about a great experience. Thank you for making our day!!“

“This restaurant is a survivor, and there are many good reasons why. It was my choice for my birthday lunch. They have a nice special with a trip to the salad bar plus a slice of pizza, and the counter cashier girl credited me a coupon so that my drink was free. The pizza slice is really two slices since they give you one-quarter of a medium pizza and then cut that slice in half. It is classic thin crust pizza, somewhat New York style, with very tasty sauce. The salad bar is also classic; iceberg lettuce with sprigs of spinach mixed in and the usual toppings to go with two types of pasta salad and potato salad. My only quibble was that the French/Catalina dressing was heavily watered down, as if they were trying to stretch it, so I chose bleu cheese instead. The place has the look and feel of a restaurant that has seen decades of pizza-and-beer parties because it has! Highly recommended for a retro pizzeria style experience and it's a very good value, especially for lunch. Another bonus; it's counter service, so you don't really have to tip anybody, ha ha.“
