“This is a review for Nightshade. To get there, you go to the back of Moonflower then through the unmarked black door to the right and downstairs. There are two rooms - one for music/ dancing and the other with small tables for drinks. The night I went the music room wasn’t open (guess you have to know when it’s club night). A bit bare bones in terms of furniture/ atmosphere. But, the drinks were EXCELLENT. Not a huge selection but the table I was with ordered about four different drinks from the specialty menu and they were all better than I was expecting.

Though the downstairs is designed for drinking I saw people eating from the menu upstairs so apparently you can do that.“

“A family friend took me here with my brother and I am so happy she did! This piano bar has awesome atmosphere and the musicians are so talented, it seems like they can play most songs on the spot. People can write a song request on a piece of paper and hand it to the musicians playing piano with a tip and they will play it! I highly recommend, this place has awesome energy!“

Live music most weekends, outdoors in the summer in a large parking lot. Everybody who knows, goes there. John & Sparklyn are good people!“

“I just walked out of the door and am so glad that God sent us there. We tried 3 places prior to walking in CheSa’s doors which was a definite blessing. We had the catfish skillet, bourbon peach cobbler franchise toast, chicken sausage and scrabbles eggs w/cheese washed down with a breakfast martini. “Quite the gem in Logan Square! Have seen DJs and Jazz performed here and each experience was absolutely lovely despite the contrast of the crowd. No food here but the quality of service and drinks totally make up for that.

The sound system is also great! Especially for live acts on weekdays with a more intimate vibe. One of my favorite spots in the city for music and chill non pretentious vibes. Did I mention, there's usually no cover here?? Highly recommend if you're looking for a spot with good music and drinks.“
