“The perfect bar, I fear. I can’t believe I have ANY pictures in this place because I’m always just talking to someone or playing pool or queueing up songs on the jukebox. There’s something about this place that you can’t really take a picture of: the people are always friendly and chill, you can tell it has a low staff turnover rate, the food is ALWAYS good. This is the kind of bar which would be the ultimate muse for a poet from the 1800s. My one drink photo is an espresso martini that was made with love, but know that they put just as much love into every beer they pour. It just isn’t as instagrammable.“

Snatched my ID out of my hand and literally jabbed it in my face giving it back to me (fully legal age/ID) and was all around really frustrating to all of my friends in line. “I've been here twice and both times, phenomenal. The dry aged ribeye and burger are delicious, and the constantly changing menu always has something new to discover. Sit at the open kitchen and watch the fire magic happen! Yes, the music is loud, but it's a vibe for sure. The bar might be limited in size, but that doesn't stop them from making a great cocktail. Great old fashioned and a legit whiskey sour, I was very impressed.“

“This is one of my favorite bars in the city. I love that it's nearby my neighborhood, it's a lovely addition to the area. The food is delicious, I recommend the dill pickle pasta salad and the burger. The cocktail menu changes seasonally I think, so there's always something new to try. Cocktails are always nicely balanced and tasty. The staff is so friendly and I love the atmosphere. Busy on the weekends but weeknights are a bit quieter. Visit immediately.“

“Honestly I love the red neon aesthetic, I only wish the white light from the lobby didn't bleed in as much. I will note, this place is small, like you're not gonna fit more than 20 people in here if you tried, more often than not you'll only find 4-5 people in here, but that's a vibe honestly too.

One thing I need to note is the food, omg how is the food here so good? It's ordered from across the street and some guy brings it over in a bag and it's phenomenal and well priced.

“Liar’s Club has some of my favorite bands on the regular, so I find myself there a lot. My band has played there too, and it’s a great experience - the room sounds good, with a solid PA system. Gary and the rest of the staff are awesome - the polar opposite of the snooty, hipper-than-thou attitude you get at some rock & roll joints. Drink prices are cheap, and parking is always pretty easy. The clientele is consistently asshole-free. Can’t think of anything bad to say about Liar’s.“

We had an issue with some dudes at the bar, and Megg helped us out and those guys got kicked out immediately after reporting.
The best deal is getting the pass for the turtle races. they do start about an hour after listed time for the race, but you can drink before the scheduled time. it is $40/person for unlimited drinks.
The bartender who kept the turtles was so nice and let us take pictures with the turtles.

“Food gets 5 stars for presentation, for sure. Unfortunately, the actual food had very mid flavor. Salsa was served with everything so you're likely expected to derive flavor from that. The only challenge there is that it was all hot.

Thought they would laugh us out the door but they immediately jumped into action and were able to configure a small seating section in the cocktail bar side for us so we could have our group huddled together between the bar and chairs.
