“Kai Zan is by far one of the best sushi places I've ever been, including Japan, the rest of southeast Asia and LA. Their dishes are unique, delicate and never disappoint. Every time I'm back in Chicago I try to stop in. Oyster shooters are my favorite along with some of the hamachi sashimi dishes. Yes yes yes!!! Oh and they're great accommodating gluten free.“

“Amazing food! We did the Omakase, Chef's choice. Service was a bit lacking. We sat for 25 minutes before our order was taken. Drink orders also took longer than expected. Wait staff was very nice, just a bit slow. We'd still come again because of the amazing food and dining experience“

“My favorite sushi spot. I have experienced prejudice at many Asian establishments (nail salons, eateries etc.) I have NEVER experienced this at Sushi Sen. The staff is friendly, accommodating and attentive. The atmosphere is cozy and the food is an easy 10/10! My favorite Sushi spot!Parking: The Parking is free on the weekends I believe.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant“

“This has become my got to for exhausted days, love the handwritten notes! The crispy jalapeño herb aioli chicken rice bowl is a must try and the veg dumplings ? is nice and crispy! The chipotle one is okay, large size is enough for several meals.“

“All was good, tasty food. I didn’t like that tips were already included to the bill and after paying waiter brought pen to leave more. When I asked if tips were already included to the bill I got the answer “yes”, and waiter was not very happy that I asked. Hmm, I do not mind but why after it’s included waiter brings pen to leave more tips???“

“Poke Burrito is a local favorite for myself and others. During different times of day on any given day, you will see satisfied patrons, returning. Their food, service and establishment in a whole is very nice and enjoyed. Love sitting at the window front. Air/heat always comfortable while enjoying my meal. Sitting outside is enjoyed also. Some shade is offered. You can also catch a nice breeze will in the sun. When my son and I have Poke Burrito delivered, the fish has always been at the correct temperature, never discolored. The condiments, Wasabi/ginger, the same. I do enjoy the food and service. Thank you Poke Burrito“

“Chef Roberto and team are always super welcoming - whipping up amazing margaritas (I’m usually a sake guy, but I’ve gotten margs to go before, don’t judge me), and a delicious selection of sushi, sashimi, hand rolls and more. Our kids love it too - very family friendly (but even better for a date night away).“

“This is a hidden gem and hole in the wall. If you’re a fan of Wasabi Ramen, this ramen is a close second on the west side. They have Studio Ghibli themed decor, relaxing vibes. BYOB. I’ve come here a few times already! There is usually one waitress there at a time. If it’s packed, be prepared to wait a little. My only complaint is that it’s always cold in there, but bring a sweater, you’ll be fine.“

“I only tried the ramen and I found a hair at the bottom. I also didn’t really love the flavor too much. I wanted to love it and I like the concept and everything. I’d probably stick to somewhere else for the ramen and because of the hair I’m staying away ?“

“The food was pretty good. Almost everything is good but could be improved by just a little bit. The only thing that I didn't like was the music. It was like a style of rap/rnb with swearing in it. I feel like that is not the right type of music for a Japanese restaurant.“

“Absolutely love this place!!! Tracy is an amazing owner and she loves her customers. I've moved but continue to return for the yummy food and beautiful atmosphere. Such a beautiful family business. When I have ordered for delivery my food has always arrived on time and it's still hot and fresh. Even the delivery people greet you with a smile and are so kind!“

“Ordered poke okie for delivery. Always a little nervous ordering raw food for delivery. First off, the spam musubi rivaled what we just ate in Maui earlier this year. Amazing. The 3 scoop bowl came fresh, chilled, and flavorful. Had the seaweed salad, mango, cucumbers all very fresh. Would highly recommend. We will be back.“

“This was only my second time having Korean bbq, which we drove down from Milwaukee both times. This was my first time at this restaurant and it was a good experience with great food. They definitely hook you up with the sides and will show you how to cook the meat since some of them were pretty thinly sliced and harder to control. It’s priced per meat you order. Our favorite meats were the Bulkogi and the Kalbi. You will definitely get filled up especially with waiting for the meat to cook each round. It’s a great way to not over-eat! My recommendation is ordering the number of meats as there are people, and then go from there. We were seated in a cute little area that was partitioned, almost like a little room. It was cute and private which I preferred. Definitely recommend checking them out!“

“It is a small place, but truly, a gem is a family business, and the flavours are delish. It is cosy, we ordered the tom kha (super delish, creamy without a weird consistency) the salmon skin sushi OMG fresh, and really good, hubby ordered the special of the day, which was the spicy tuna crispy rice and he said was marvellous (I didn't try it as he devour it lol) finally the seaweed salad loved it, not too salty-fishy flavour but perfect. We took sticky mango rice to takeaway, can't talk about it, but my guess is will be as good as everything we tried.“

“Sushi is divine, their miso soup delicious, edamame good, Ramen was just OK—- the broth is good but the egg was hard boiled rather than soft boiled & the pork was chewy and NOT tender at all. Their potstickers were also not that good in my opinion... i’d pas…. They do take longer to bring your order but I don't mind the wait. Atmosphere is chill. Don't skip the dessert!“

“Was there on a cold Chicago afternoon shortly after opening. Took a while to get attention for ordering, and getting the check after my meal was complete. Good itself was well priced, decent but not spectacular Bento Box lunch. Vibe during busy hours is actually different and more upbeat.“

“This place is a hidden gem in southwest Chicago. I’m huge sushi person who usually eats in downtown where the food spots are, so I was a bit skeptical of this place at first glance. I couldn’t be more wrong. Their sushi was consistently delicious every time I ate here. I’ve been here 3 times within 2 weeks already. Their prices are average for specialty rolls ~$12-$16 each, and their typical ones like California or shrimp tempura is much less, but also very delicious. The staff is very friendly, and Michelle is very sweet and always puts a smile on your face every time. This is a great place to eat. Their menu has a wide array of foods, even if it’s not sushi. The food like Mongolian beef (I got it spicy) is great, portions are very generous, atmosphere is relaxed, staff are friendly, and overall great place to eat. Would highly recommend.I noticed a lot of negative reviews were taken for carry out, so I would recommend that you dine in for the best experience and freshest food.“

“Are you an Tuna fan? Wow! Poke Burrito has a dish for you! Use chop sticks or grab a fork for this place. Their spicy Tuna was fantastic! Nestled on a bed of white rice, greens, cucumber and edamame you cannot go wrong with this one! The spicy tuna had a ginger sauce that was creamy, rich and just the right punch. The service was crazy fast and very friendly. The inside shop is very small but, they have nice seating on the sidewalk. One thing I LOVE about the Oak Park area! You can often sit outside in the summer. This was a trial (1/2 portion) of the regular sized dish. Part of Thursday Night Out I'm Oak Park. A great summer event held each Thursday from June to August (2023) from 5-9pm. Tickets can be purchased on Marion Street for the event on Thursday's. I highly recommend this event! What a great way to experience the tastes of Oak Park. Put Poke Burrito on your list of places to eat while you are here, be it during the even or not. This is a very popular location on Lake St across from the theater.“

“I enjoyed the Char Siu Pork Bun, two of them! I would have had more but wanted to save room for the Ramen. I’m glad I did, because the broth in the Ramen was so delicious. I also had the Edamame which is one of my favs any time have Ramen. Don’t forget something to drink, I highly recommend the Taro Boba Milk Tea, unless you are lactose intolerant. I should have asked if they use any alternative milks, I will next time and there will definitely be a next time!Chefs kiss ?“

“So nicely surprised this Holiday Season! Went for a walk in the area and decided to check Miku Sushi. What an amazing choice of vegan options and in so affordable prices. Food is so tasty and if you order before 6pm you will be eligible for half price maki where some rolls cost $2.50! I will be here more frequently for this amazing deal! I’ve checked their veggie tempura ($4), avocado ($2.50) and some other pickled veggie maki, (all at $2.50 before 6pm). Very tasty and freshly made in front of your eyes if you sit at the bar. Very decent portion of nicely served Edamame and nicely served as well green tea. Healthy, fresh and affordable all while dining in the great vibe atmosphere. Place is large, crowded and nicely decorated. Modern sushi restaurant around the corner! Don’t miss this place!“

“The food is wonderful with very fresh ingredients (which is even more important for sushi) and you will eat more than you think you should. Service is slow and needs work, but since it's run by teenagers (yes, really) it's understandable. The environment is cute, but tight.“

“Service and atmosphere are great. Would not recommend the omakase, it was just a 5/10. The specialty rolls are unique and quite good though so definitely go for those. This place is a 3/5 if you just have the omakase but with only specialty rolls it's a solid 4.“

“Wonderful service as always but tonight especially exceeded our expectations. The front of the house was extremely accommodating in seating us in a private room offset the back of the restaurant. We were celebrating a birthday & the area was a nice touch. Deanna was our server & went above and beyond to make our night extra special. She is such an absolute joy! Thank you all for the great experience!“

“This restaurant is something else!In all my years of dining at Chinese restaurants, I never, ever partook of Chinese cuisine as spectacular as that at Wonder Chop. My dining partner also felt the same. It's just astonishing.I had the orange chicken which was far and away the best I ever ate. The chicken was juicy, tender and gloriously breaded, but the standout feature was the orange glaze itself.Unlike typical dull orange glaze found in a lot of Chinese restaurants, the glaze at Wonder Chop is rich, thick and bursting with the heady flavor of fresh orange that really sets the bar for a superlative dining experience. The accompanying wonderfully prepared fried rice is a perfect balance to complete the meal.My dining partner had a surf and turf-style dinner consisting of perfectly seasoned, tender beef and superior scallops that practically melted in the mouth. Another knock out dish! For an appetizer, we had gyoza dumplings which were flavor-filled and delectable. Also, don't forget to try the addictive hot and sour soup! Highly recommended! In addition, Wonder Chop prepares marvelous sushi that is also an ideal dining selection. When you stop by, see if Mary is there. She's the owner's Mom and is a delightful, genuine, lovely woman who truly appreciates her customers and desires their sincere happiness. In fact, when we were there, I was near and facing the window, and while she was speaking with us, so many people outside waved to her as they walked by. Mary has become an icon.Wonder Chop is the finest Chinese restaurant in Chicago! By all means, go there!!!“
