“It was late and I decided to walk over and have a cheeseburger /w fries. Getting there was easy. On my way back home it got a little DARK. Need to remember Riverside has NO street lights. I had to walk more cautiously. . Tiptoe through the tulips. Ha“

“Went here for Burnch on a Sunday. It is first come first serve so had to wait a little over an hour. Roamed a bit around the neighborhood as every area of the city has its own charm.Plenty of street parking or can always park in the near by garage.Ordered the classic lulu breakfast burrito, chickpea and fennel tagine and a smoked trout scramble. I would say the Chickpea and fennel tagine was awesome and a must on every visit.Parking: Parking spots near by and then paid garage couple of blocks awayKid-friendliness: Yes great with kids“

“Love that this place is dog friendly! My friend told me that it used to be a house but after it burned down they turned it into a bar. They have a heated indoor patio and outdoor patio in addition to the inside space. Our bartender was fabulous but I didn't catch her name. The drinks were all top-knotch, I wish they had food but they do allow you to bring in outdoor food. We ordered pizza and then a guy selling tamales came around. Overall a super fun night and can't wait to come back!“

“Bang Bang has been a neighborhood favorite of mine for years! Tastes like it's made with love. The biscuits, the pies, the sides, you can't go wrong! I usually get a scratch biscuit with sweet, a side salad or side of candied bacon, and a slice of pie to go :) Delicious! Great patio space for the summer!“

“I really really loved this brewery. It's the perfect spot for a bunch of nice drinks with friends or coworkers. They have an amazing selection of beers - My favourites were the Pickle Beer and the Azadi! While the pickle beer sounds funny, trust me it is very interesting. I also had a lovely stout. The general vibe is like most breweries, easy to chat with friends, nice music and good seating. Definitely going back here again.“

“We needed a place to stay close to the Concord music hall, and found the Leavitt St. Inn and Tavern. Every element of our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. The menu at the inn was a purposefully short, curated list of bar food, and everything we tried was incredible. The tavern had a great neighborhood feel, and the room we stayed in was well-appointed, and just right for my wife and me. We met the owners within a few moments of arriving, and immediately felt welcomed. I highly recommend the Leavitt St. Inn and Tavern to anyone looking for a hidden gem of a place to stay while visiting Chicago. “We had lunch today at Thattu. It was bustling with almost every table full, but the tables have ample space between them and it wasn’t too loud. The beautiful exposed brick and huge windows cast a warm glow on the modern dining room. They nailed Indian flavors without being heavy or greasy, and the fun fusion dishes we tried, like Indian-spiced tater tots with sulfur salt and beet ketchup are well executed and a lot of fun. It would be easy to eat healthy at Thattu, and I enjoyed the vegetarian combo with vegetable curry, rice, beans, and sauteed Brussels sprouts with coconut. We also tried the fried chicken with dill sauce, and the catfish.Guests order through an app at Thattu, and the cost is inclusive of service. They don’t accept tips. At lunch, you grab your own flatware, napkins, and water from a bar in the dining room. We didn’t mind this.One particularly nice touch was that when we arrived, there were no tables available, and we agreed to sit at the bar. The host said he would let us know if a table became available, since sometimes guests cancel very close to their reservation time. Lucky for us, about 10 minutes after we arrived, the host brought us to a table. It was kind of him to remember our preference and work on that for us. Googling the restaurant later, I realized that the handsome host was co-owner Vinod Kalathil. “The batter is unbelievable! It is fluffy and tasty. The chicken is perfectly done. I just couldn't believe the batter. I don't think I've had batter on chicken like that before. Also, they accommodated my request of not wanting thighs in my 4 piece (I am not a fan of chicken thighs ( thighs are too gamey for my taste). So I very much appreciate that. Since trying it the first time, I have gone almost every week now.“

Our 2 friends walked in about 5 minutes after us for a table, Host proceeds to not automatically deny them and asks the servers. Servers apparently had a problem with having another table until another server came worked it out. Finally, Wife and I walk back in to join our friends and overhear 2 servers discussing with the host about not seating anyone after 9pm (they close at midnight btw) Great to know that you wanting to close early is more important than actually doing your jobs and making easy money (we only got drinks and 2 apps) Pathetic, will not come back. “I've driven past this place often for the last few years but never visited. I did for the first time a few days ago and have been back a few times! I love the vibe, the inside is gorgeous and cozy, and the patio is dog friendly. Adam, the co-owner and roaster, is a lovely human and easy to talk to and its obvious how much he cares about his craft. This is one of my new favorite spots on the entire north side! The baked goods were also tasty and I sampled my friend's rosemary lavender caramel Latte and it was so good! much more understated than the title might have you believe. A hidden gem of the Northside.“

“This place has the bomb tacos - a culinary adventure for sure, not your average taqueria (which I do love btw, but this is different). Rotating seasonal special ingredients, duck tacos, amazing flavor. Also a little pricier, and a longer wait time (they make these suckers to order) I advise order online in advance and pick em up!“

“I be doing doordash n uber eats, I've been getting orders from there for a while, today I decided to order me some food got me the steak jibarito that comes with arroz con gandules and some sauce on the side n let me sayyy it was delicious, I even got me the chicken empanada n I used the sauce from the jibarito on it n omgggg sooo good. I even got a Pina colada n omg heaven. And the service was awesome everyone so nice and also lots of things to look at while u wait they have a lil boutique. Totally recommend will be coming back“

“Get the strawberry Spring Matcha Latte! It’s seriously so good. You can find it on their Easter menu. I also really enjoyed their Chilaquiles but the Spring Matcha Latte is going to be my new everyday drink. The owners are so kind and I received my meal extremely fast. “I hosted a party here last month and everything about the experience was above and beyond. Isaac and the full team were so welcoming to our party which spanned in age from 9mos to 76. The other patrons were also so friendly and we had a great time. The oldest and youngest among us were able to enjoy the atmosphere and celebrate but leave before the bar got too crowded and the rest of the party carried on while the bar filled. Highly recommend for the drinks, staff, the crowd and the free juke box!“

“Sleeping Village is a wonderfully funky little music venue in Avondale. The acts tend to be a bit obscure, but you may catch a star in the making. They offer a fine selection of beers and ciders. This is not a restaurant, so I'm not sure why food review would apply.“

“Burger and wine by the Glass for $21! Burger and Old fashioned cocktail for $21. We went to Webster Wine bar because it made the top 15 Chicago burger list. We were not disappointed! On Wednesdays there is a special for the burger and any drink for $21. What a deal! Our burgers came out quick and were delicious. They used Slagel Farm’s beef, and SHARP cheddar cheese instead of American. I love cheddar over American cheese any day. First time to Logan square and it was charming with the wide boulevards. Wine bar looks over the park and is very sophisticated. The wine list was impressive. Classy little place! Great for date night.“

“Of all the places I've tried around the city, Taste of Colombia has the best coffee anywhere in Chicago. My favorite part though is the wonderful people who work there! “I came here with a group for the chess club night, which I honestly was not expecting to have as much fun as I did there. The pizza was ok, I really liked the crust, just not enough sauce, essentially the only pieces that had any were the 2 middle ones. The music selection was really good and they had a good selection of beer or hard seltzer. The establishment was clean over all as well.“

The new owners kept the interior, the bar has original wood work and features. It is o. L. D. In a good way. I have no idea if that story is accurate or true. I ordered the spicy garlic shrimp sandwich with extra shrimp. Absolutely delicious. It was not spicy but well seasoned. They love their customers and they like to have fun, as I have seen them dance to karaoke or just being silly with each other. “Fantastic vibes, ciders and food at this place, I couldn’t fault it! The venue is huge, spacious and classy. They are more cider heavy than beer, as a cider person this was heaven to me!! We loved ordering flights or small little glasses, we tried all ciders on the menu. I would totally recommend the van van mojo, blush and the strawberry rhubarb ciders. They also have a cider malort combo which was vile to me but each to their own. Food is also fantastic make sure to order the fried pickles even if you don’t particularly like pickles cuz they were that good. Burgers and the fried chicken sandwich was also great. I think they use house made buns they were perfect. I had my burger on a gluten free bun, it was a little crumbly yet a very good tasting bun. Their thick cut home fries are also phenomenal. I love how they have healthier side options as well! Our servers were quite friendly and helped us allot with our selections. Though it wasn’t that packed when we were there, servers were barely making ends meet. “Best Burgers! Took my husband there once and now I can't get him to go anywhere else. His words "Why chance somewhere else when Kuma's is always on point!" The Burgers are huge with a new Burger of the Month that keeps the menu fresh.Every Burger is delicious and totally different making it impossible to pick one. Also you can substitute the beef with Chicken! ? Atmosphere is great with cult classic movies playing behind the heavy metal music. Oh and let's not forget the beer/liquor selection!“

“They have a variety of beers and they were all good! They were out of multiple beers when we went but there were still options. It’s dog friendly which is fine but it meant there were a TON of dogs inside in the winter which was pretty load and meant there was spilled dog bowls all over which made the atmosphere not as enjoyable.“

“I am absolutely obsessed with this place. The shrimp spring rolls are fantastic and I will be ordering the Khao Soi Gai every week for the foreseeable future. It is incredible!! I tried it for the first time last night (having never tried Thai curry) and oh my god. It’s sweet, savory, the chicken is great, and the noodles are perfect! “We went for St. Patrick's Day after the kids stuff, around 7:00. Wasn't over crowded, and we got a seat at one of the long tables. Both bands delivered the goods. We were singing, dancing and having a great time until the last band finished up around 11:30. The service is superb.
