“I have been going to Hofherr Meat since they opened their doors 10 years ago and I can tell you that this is the best source of top quality meat in the Northern suburbs. Arielle, Sean and their team are always professional, accommodating and go out of their way for their customers every day. Whether it is the Beef, Pork, poultry, In-house made sausages...they just do everything well.They will source pretty much anything if you give them a little notice. “We came very early for dinner. The sevice person was very warm and accommodating. The food was served in a timely manner. The table had as a couple of the entrees, a beyond burger and a walleye dish. These 2 dishes were absolutely remarkable. The fish was prepared perfectly. The burger was juicy and flavorful. The chef is a highly trained Japanese chef and his skills are reflected in the exceptional quality meat choices, appetizers and soups. Real charcoal made of specialty hardwoods give the meats that unique smoky flavor. “The Peking duck three ways is the absolute move. The fried rice is good The egg rolls are excellent and the Chinese broccoli and bok choy are the bomb. They were low on beers as far as selection but everything else is always top notch here. Make sure you get a reservation because they can sell out of duck fairly quickly“

“I rarely write reviews but after our meal from Cluckers, I felt I must. Our first time getting food from Cluckers/Wilmette and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The first impression was the very friendly and efficient staff. Lovely to deal with! Then the meal...no fast food flavors here, it tasted more like homemade! Every aspect of our dinner was delicious: chicken, cornbread muffins, slaw and Caesar salad. No doubt we will be back to try something else!“

“Our 1st time at L. Woods. It was a cute place. Loved all the room signs & pictures throughout the restaurant. I had the French onion soup to start it was sooo good! For our main meal I have the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw, my momma had the 1/2 slab of ribs with mashed potatoes. The food had such a good flavor & soo good. For dessert we split the turtle sundae. We definitely will be back soon!“

“5 star food and service every time. Tonight we had the pleasure of being waited on by Lupe. Lupe is very passionate making sure he provides excellent customer service for his guests. He knows the menu and explained it in great detail at our table. He offered suggestions when asked and the suggestions were spot on. We started with the corn bread which was warm and the soft butter only made it better. For dinner most of our table had ribs. The ribs were cooked to perfection with the sauce ratio being spot on. You can taste the freshness of the ribs let me tell you, delicious! A few ordered the NY Strip steak with the added optional char, it was amazing. “Great place to have a casual meal with friends or family. Not sure if you need a reservation but we made one for a Friday night just in case. Sat at a round table with cushy comfy chairs. You scan a QR code on the table, order what you want and keep your tab open. Our friends did the same on their own phone so at the end there was no awkward; how much do we each owe? situation. I wanted a beer flight but had no idea what to order so I waved down someone by the bar. I told him I usually like Blue moon, Stella, and coronas so he told me to order the "light flight" So I did and I loved all three choices. For my meal I had the Lobster Roll with a side of fries. My husband got the Chimichurri Arrenchera Sandwich and we split a large Mac and Cheese. My lobster Roll was packed with meat. So good and I was glad I got it. My hubby loved his sandwich as well. Neither of us were fans of the Mac and Cheese and I thought the seasoned fries could have been better. I will definitely come back to this hidden gem. I'm looking forward to sitting outside when the weather gets nicer.“

“Smitty's ale house is at the location of the old stores, the spirits bar not the strip club. They really did not change much from the outside. The new owners updated the bathrooms, looks like they expanded the kitchen and removed the dj booth. All probably good moves, based off of the history. The aaa staff was nice and engaging. The crowd for a bears Sunday was a lot lighter than the places previously iteration . That may be due to the bears sucking this year though. There was also less staff but enough for the limited crowd. For an ale works they had pretty standard beers on tap. Looked like only one rotating tap out of the 10 on the taps. Not a very deep option for beer needs. I do think any bar named Smitty's should have guineas on tap . I had the steak quesadillas. They were solid bar food. Overall thisplace is worth the stop but needs a bit more to stand out.“

“We enjoyed dinner after a concert at the Winnetka Chapel. We enjoy sitting at the bar for quick service so we did and Raphael was our server. He was so nice and attentive. I had a delicious Blackberry and Bourbon cocktail to start while Craig had a craft beer. Lots to choose from for dinner! I wanted something light so chose the Beet and chicken salad. It had a light dressing on really fresh greens and freshly roasted beets and mandarin oranges. Craigs salad was Ahi Tuma on greens. I loved the marinade and intense freshness of his salad. “This has been my go-to shop for broasted chicken. Quaint little hole-in-the-wall place for good quality, fresh food. I have not yet had any negative experiences with their chicken, apart from maybe the occasional soggy bits on the otherwise crispy skin, but that could be attributed to the chicken steaming inside of the box during the car ride home, so it is best eaten as quickly as can be devoured to experience max deliciousness and freshness. I have been ordering take-out from them for several years and hopefully will continue ordering from them for several more years to come.“

I would recommend ordering the ribs with sauce on the meat instead of on the side. Food arrived promptly, was warm and tasty as it should be. Parmesan chicken was good however I do enjoy the Parmesan encrusted chicken at Cheesecake factory more. Ribs were fall off the bone and tasty. Sweet potato was more like a delicious dessert than a potato as it was covered with butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. What could be bad? Overall it was a delicious meal and I would recommend that you give them a try. You won't be sorry. Enjoy!“

The drinks and apps really stand out in my opinion and I wouldn't mind just stopping in here for the drinks alone. Here's my break down.Drinks:•Thai Iced Tea- hands down best Thai iced tea I have ever had. Easily a 10/10. My gf and I loved it.•Vietnamese iced coffee- reminds me of those Starbucks drinks you buy in glass bottles at gas stations but much better. It's a great pick-me-up•Cherry pomenade- both my gf and my friend really enjoyed this drink and I thought it tasted great too. Another solid choice.Apps:•egg rolls- amazing, I could eat a hundred of those things. Definitely can tell they're made fresh. The sauce it comes with is great too.•spring rolls- great and very fresh. “This is through the parking garage! I want to say that first because we were like why are we in a parking garage. It was not easy to find when you’re not from the area. Having that said it’s super cute and the brisket was spot on. I got the super fatty, which is an option. It was however not super fatty but it was super soft and yummy. We brought our two year old and one year old. They had the cheeseburger and chicken strips and killed them both. My partner had smoked salmon and loved it. He has salmon everywhere so if he says it’s good, it is. My sister had the Buffalo chicken sandwich and also loved that. The area has a brewery, sugar factory, another restaurant, Harley Davidson, and that’s all I saw but it was adorable! Could for sure spent a few hours hopping and trying different appetizers/drinks. Ps. There are string lights decorating the ceiling. It’s a plus for kids“

“Loved this place, just across the street from the Hampton Inn we stayed so ordered and picked up right away. Kimchi fries are plenty for two and are delish!! Spicy chicken bowl was also very good, too! Employees were very courteous and helpful upon arrival to pick up my food. They have Korean style burgers too, but I just wasn't in the mood for it. I'm sure it's great as well. I'll be back again!“

“It's been too long, Gale Street Inn! We missed the mouth-watering ribs, the classic cocktails, the skilled staff. Well, last night we finally made it back, along with couple friends visiting from Germany, and boy, you did no disappoint! Our friends were duly impressed with the classy supper-club-like atmosphere (we had to explain "supper club"), the size and flavor of the succulent ribs, the melt-in-your-mouth salmon, and a small, but well-curated beer selection. “I had the pleasure of sampling several smokey delights from Goodstuff Eats last night. These smoked meats are probably the BEST I've ever tasted. From ribs to brisket, pork belly to sweet potato, everything was dynamite. And enhanced with the homemade bbq sauces, this was such a treat. Gus puts so much love and effort into the meats he prepares, you owe it to yourself to try this place. I live about 45 minutes from Goodstuff Eats, and I will definitely be back for these smokey treats!“

“I didn't eat anything, as I do not eat meat but I was there for a planning meeting. Everyone else devoured the food so I am sure it was yummy. “My daughter had a dance recital that ended late and we needed someplace open. I had always wanted to try Hubs but never had the chance. My wife had the burger which had an excellent char and my sun and I shared the ribs and wings special. It was great. Was it the best no. Was it fine dining heck no did it fit the bill heck ya. “Visited Chicago and was introduced to the owners and owners son through my mentor. We were able to try their peking duck, chow fun, and bbq braided pork and wonton soup. My personal favorite was the wonton soup but everything tasted amazing. The owners were extremely kind and hospitable and we were able to drink a sip of wine with the owner and some of the locals. I could tell it's a community based restaurant and all the locals were coming here to eat some good Chinese food. I really had an amazing time. Shout-out to Mike and his family!“
