“The food was great. Love the onion rings. The host on the other hand, told my sister that we had to move to a different seating because the seat we was sitting at originally is for more than two people. So we moved to a different seat. Two caucasian lady come in and sit at the same table we moved from and nothing at all was said to them. We later was told that we can seat ourselves, which makes this situation even more confusing. Why did the male host ask us to switch our seat???? Food: 5/5 | Service: 2/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5”

“It was a very positive experience beginning with the classic gin martini I ordered. Our server arrived with a chilled glass, a frosty shaker, and an olive and a lemon twist, as I requested. He proceeded to shake and pour, let it rest for a moment and then pour again. Ahhh...what a delicious beginning to a delicious meal with friends. I did not expect that kind of bar service at this moderately priced family-type restaurant. Very surprisingly enjoyable!”

“Had dinner with friends on Fri, 6-17. None of us had been there for years...we weren't impressed. One of us ordered the T bone which was not a complete steak. Part of the filet had been cut away. The baked potatoes weren't cooked through. The cocktail sauce for my scallops had no horseradish in it and tasted like fancy catsup. The tartar sauce had no flavor. Although our drinks were good the food wasn't worth the price. Pretty sure we won't be back. Very disappointed.”

“My family of 8 went there on a Friday and it was not crowded but we were told it was a thirty minute wait but it was 45 minutes before getting seated. Then when we waited another 20-25 minutes for a waiter to greet us and bring water, bread etc. After we placed our order and got our food we were satisfied and food was very good. 😋”

“My husband and I were very impressed with the food. It's made fresh and is delicious. The fries tasted great and were not greasy. My husband had a huge delicious hamburger that he couldn't finish in one sitting. I had the steak shawarma which I enjoyed very much. We sat outside because the weather was perfect for it. The people working there were friendly and polite. We were definitely impressed.”

“I don't even know where to begin. The service is always above and beyond awesome (♡ Ruby and Dahlia)! This is a family owned business (and owner and family are always there working their butts off and checking to see everyone is happy) and it is obvious that they take pride in what they serve and they really appreciate their customers. I have ordered many different dishes from the menu and everything is always delicious and hot and cooked exactly as I ordered. The margaritas are top notch. My absolute favorite is the cucumber magarita. Make sure to try their tableside guac...so good!!! Carne Asada is excellent. I hesitate to share this review because I'd love to keep this hidden gem all to myself but some things just need to be shared with the world. You're welcome!!!”

Blake is an excellent bartender and host who makes you feel at home. He has a friendly personality and always has a smile on his face. Megan is a wonderful waitress who is friendly and outgoing. Best of all she makes us feel special because she always remembers what we like best. The owner (Roger) is a great person and always greets us with a big smile. The patio is nice to sit on outside or the yard that has plenty of seating for a lot of people. Also the have horseshoe pits free of charge or if the weather isn't cooperating there is shuffleboard inside Also free of charge.”

“I come to the oak Lawn establishment quite often, but haven't been there in a while due to work commitments . I was in last week and as usual, I ordered with Bill at the cash register. He jokes with me as he knows what I like, but more importantly, he was genuinely concerned that I was ok because he hadn't seen me in some time. I always get 2 shack burgers, and a drink. He calls me tht best dressed man in the place as I still get dressed in a suit everyday to go into the office. Great sense of humor.”

“Service was very good. Sunday was busy but to be expected. Lots of children but all pretty good. Food was ok. Tried the Santa fe frittata. Was not a real frittata. More like a round omelet with cheese on top. Not much flavor. A little better when topped with the little cups of salsa & sour cream. Veggies over cooked & bacon was nor well done as I requested. Hash browns were just shredded potatoes nothing special. Coffee hot & good. Next time will stay with German breakfast with potato pancakes.”
