My absolute favorites are the Honey Lavender Latte, Pistachio Creme Latte, and Mocha. Not only do the coffees taste amazing, but the presentation is so cute!!“

“Brewpoint is a gem in the Western suburbs of Chicago. I am entirely blessed to live blocks from their craft location on York. Exposed brick, chandeliers, and a plant wall surrounds you - a grateful reprieve from cookie cutter Starbucks decor. Coffee, matcha, and baked goods are top notch (haven't tried cocktails or charcuterie yet). A wonderful mix of professionals, college students, community organizers, and socially conscious suburban moms escaping the kids (I'm sure I'm missing wonderful others). Sometimes I'm not sure how I manage to keep living in the suburbs when the city is still home for me after 10 years in Elmhurst, but Brewpoint certainly makes it easier.“

“This is a good breakfast spot I've been to 3 times now. I've had the eggs Benedict, burrito suizo, and healthy scrambler.

Only the eggs Benedict blew me away. The burrito looks delicious but is kinda bland. The scrambler was nothing better than what I could make at home.

My partner had oatmeal today and actually that was really good. She order crepes in the past that were good tasting too.

There are very few breakfast restaurants I feel are worth going to these days.“

“Went there for the 1st time last Saturday. The service and the food were both excellent. Amber was on top of everything and was very knowledgable about the menu items. Husband had a ‘skillet’ breakfast and I had the granola/berry French toast. We left very little food and we didn’t need much to eat afterwards. “The Prairie Café in Elmhurst is one of those rare gems hidden in plain sight. The husband-and-wife team are so amazing, we go out of our way once a year to when we are in Chicago to go there for breakfast. Mimi in the front of the house remembers what we like to the person for all five of us. The prices are on the low side and the portions generous. Two things stand out though the repartee with Mimi tops the list, but the nuanced flavors bring back memories of how my mother made it. Eating here is more than getting a great breakfast at a good price, it’s a step back, in time and attitude. It is a full-on experience. Tell Mimi you read the review from the guys that visit only once a year.“

“One of my fav breakfast spots to go to. The fact that they give me a whole pitcher of water and coffee makes my experience the best. I don’t have to wave down a waiter for coffee or water continuously. Instead I have it at my fingertips at my leisure. I don’t know why more restaurants do this. The servers are always great. The food is great. The atmosphere is great. It’s just pleasant all around. Definitely recommend. Also, they have gluten free options for me!“

“After driving past Elijah's in the mornings for the last few months I finally decided to stop in and give it a try (you should always try to support local). I ordered a large Black Coffee with a shot of espresso, I even mentioned to the guy making my coffee that it was my first time here and he was polite and said Welcome. (When was the last time you heard someone say welcome?) The girl behind the counter asked if I wanted anything else and I asked If they made there Scones fresh and she said yes we bake daily. I bought a variety to bring to the gig for the crew this morning. My Coffee was made exactly the way I make it at home and the Scones were still warm and made me feel like I was on Arthur Avenue at Morrone's pastry in the Bronx waiting in line for them to come out of the oven fresh. I must give Elijah's Coffee 5 stars today and recommend it to everybody and I will now be a customer. Been coming here for years although i believe ownership may have changed once or twice over the last 20 years. Everyone I know loves Dinos. It's THE brunch spot. Besides brunch cafe, that is. lol.“

“I stopped by the Glen Ellyn Metra train station for some coffee, and got a surprise. It was a real pleasure talking to Mary, who is not only selling great coffee and scones (more tasty and affordable than the chain stores), but working with other stakeholders in the space to keep the building clean while also maintaining a vegetable garden on the grounds surrounding the station. After talking with her, it's obvious to me that she is pursuing a labor of love, and she is a true inspiration. I can't think of a more pleasant way to board the train in the morning, or just hang out for a game of chess when things are quiet during the day. More towns should get creative like this and make these kinds of spaces more inspiring, rather than just a drab place to gather while in a rush to get somewhere else.“
