“I can't say enough about Saffron Social! The food was phenomenal! We had the appetizer special - deconstructed sushi of lump crab, mango and cucumber - a delightful combination of goodness! And our main meal was also a special - lobster and scallops with a wine sauce over spaghetti. Could not be any better! Perfectly cooked and excellent flavor. The ambience was super stylish and our server made it extra pleasant! Oh and I can't forget the delicious smoked old fashioned. The cocoa bitters and maple syrup made it stand out! “Peoria Illinois. We arrived 5 minutes before closing. They had to special make my shrimp. I felt bad that they had to do that, but they were apologizing that I had to wait! We told them we had traveled 10 hours and they went out of their way to make sure our order was exactly what we wanted. They were working over to make our meal! The food was good but was a little bland for my tastes but probably perfect for those who don't add a lot of seasonings other than salt and pepper. My one dissatisfaction was that the hostess was on her phone and facing away from the entrance so I had to call her attention to my presence after waiting for about 30 seconds hoping she'd look up and notice me.“

We were a part of three men - each had a different cut of beef - and each of us were very pleased. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. We share appetizers which were also very good - the crab cakes arrives with visible CHUNKS of crab. Somehow we even had room to share carrot cake - which did not disappoint!
