“Went Into the store on Saturday night, While sitting down enjoying the wonderful ice cream the staff closed the inside portion and when I asked why they said that they were very short staffed and would only do drive though for the remainder of the night. We were one of the last ones allowed inside before they locked the doors. The staff was great, friendly and never flinched at being under staffed. I would have never known had I not asked if they were closing early. They did a fantastic job of maintaining a very professional and courteous demeanor. Great job to all of the staff and the management on that night. Will definitely be returning“

What I loved was the flavor and the fact that even though the desserts were covered on chocolate, it wasn't too sweet or rich. It was the perfect amount of sweetness for an adult. My wedding was scheduled for August 8,2020. But due to Covid-19, we unfortunately had to cancel. Janice was extremely compassionate, understanding and flexible during the whole process. Sweet Home Gelato was the most compassionate and flexible vendor. It is not easy to cancel a wedding, unfortunately many vendors were not as accommodating. Janice immediately offered a refund, date change or gift card for the deposit. Sweet Home Gelato was under no circumstance required to issue a refund. “Everytime I have come here this location has always hit the spot. I usually get a mint chocolate chip shake in the summer or a mint hot chocolate in the colder months. “This has the BEST mangonada in Chicago area/suburbs!!! The tamarindo stick is delicious and the chamoy sauce and chili powder are of great taste, which is usually hard to find in the US. I would say that this one has genuine Mexican flavors. You can choose mango or strawberry.
The ice cream flavors are also of great taste.
The place is very small and simple. There are not tables to sit. Staff are friendly, speak both English and Spanish. Prices very affordable and good quality for the price.“

We have never been to this location before but the overall experience was fine. This location is primarily for takeaway only.

The store was a bit too busy on a Saturday evening. Besides our soft serves, we got one for our doggo and he slurped it all in seconds.
