We never needed anything because Christine and Gaby both with a big smile kept returning to our table to see how we where doing. Gabby was from the same mold as Christine or vice a versa. These two will bless you in a big way. The food was really delicious and hot. The portions were large and the price was very affordable and fair. “THIS MAN DESERVES A RAISE: I just wanted to say that I am completely floored by the customer service of this location. This afternoon I went through the drive through with my two daughters and purchased our lunch. Brian was the gentleman who helped us. When I drove up to pay I noticed that I had misplaced my credit card and began to panic- I asked him if he could hold my food so that I could run home and grab cash and be right back to pick it up. He said that he trusted me (a stranger) and insisted to go home to feed the kids and come back to pay when I could. I of course ran right back- but just having someone like that trust in a complete stranger was incredible. What could have been an extremely stressful situation instead turned into an experience that made me remember that people can be good and kind. Thank you Brian at the Plainfield potbelly. “I love this place have ordered many many times since they’ve opened. I would say the last four times or so. They have messed up my order in one way or another today was an exceptional mess up. I called to talk to the manager, Wendy who 100 percent made up for all of it!! She was very kind and apologetic and not only did she remake my order but deliver it to my home herself! I was about ready to give up on this place honestly and she Absolutely changed my mind!

“I being the small-town sort hadn’t heard of the Lazy Dog restaurants, but a wedding brought us 300 miles north, so we decided to try the Lazy Dog in Naperville. What a pleasant experience we had. My party of 3, including our foodie daughter, were seated promptly and cordially. Our server, Allie(sp? Sorry about that, couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful. The interior of the restaurant is well-appointed and interesting. There were several TV’s going in the bar area, although we sat in the family dining area. Allie asked if this was our first time at Lazy Dog, and we said yes. A few minutes later, the manager showed up with a small comped hors d’ouvres, a nice chip dish we we enjoyed and appreciated. I ordered the southern fried chicken salad, with honey mustard dressing. I enjoyed it tremendously. There wasn’t so much there to be overwhelming, but when I finished I was well satisfied. Our foodie daughter ordered something else that came with chicken, but she asked to substitute with tofu. Why, I have no idea, but I know both she and my wife were complimentary of their choices. When we arrived at Lazy Dog it looked like the parking lot was pretty full, but don’t be put off by that appearance. The restaurant can hold a lot of guests, and, as I said, we were seated promptly. Kudos to Allie and the good folks at Lazy Dog for a pleasant evening dinner!“

The staff made us feel very welcome and taken care of the entire night. They added little cute touches like our picture on the menu that made it feel special and their new space is really modern and perfect for events. We highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions or just a nice dinner out. We have been coming here with our family the last few years and it is an amazing gem in Joliet.“

“I love that fact that when they are super busy, they try to limit the waiting time. We only waited 20 minutes. The server Ben was super friendly and attentive. He doesn't mind all the requests from the kids. When we were running low on drinks, came back with more and took the old ones. He made sure that the table wasn't overcrowded with dinnerware. We wanted to try the different samples of wine and he brought them to us.“

“Stopped in for our anniversary. Atmosphere and staff were great. What I expected. Started with the crab cake, leak soup wedge salad, and Brussel sprouts . The crab cake was the best we’ve had. Soup was good. Wedge salad was just a typical wedge salads. Nothing special. Brussels were excellent.

Entres. Wife had the lobster roll and I had the seafood risotto. Lobster roll had great flavor, but lacked lobster. Lots of roll and little lobster. The seafood risotto consisted of two scallops, 3 large shrimp, and a lobster tail. Scallops were top notch, shrimp was a little bland, and lobster tail was way over cooked. It was actually difficult to cut.

Sticky toffee pudding for dessert.

Overall, mixed reviews on the food. We will be back for apps and drinks.“
