“To my humbled surprise my husband threw my 40th birthday party here for me! I cannot say enough amazing things about this place and its people!! The atmosphere was rustic modern and very cozy,
; especially given the fact the party was on the 2nd floor and very warm out mid-afternoon but that AC was amazing. The staff and especially the server Sarah were by far the BEST server I’ve ever had interaction with anywhere; didn’t even have to say “a word” to her and she had “my drink of choice” ready and on refill. The food was a mix of appetizers and small plated pieces such as finger sandwiches and flatbreads but everyone has texted since letting me know how DELICIOUS the food was, thank you Voght House/Banging Gavel and Sarah and the staff for making my 40th birthday “one for the books” ❤“

“We love the potato pancakes, we’ve been coming here for years, open early. This place is on our “To Visit” restaurants as we have relocated to Orlando Florida, but we visit often and we always make a Chef Klaus visit. We highly recommend the potato pancakes & the eggs Benedict! Enjoy“

“Tandoori Indian Food Was Fantastic And Outstanding. I went for the first time with a Girlfriend. I Enjoyed My Curry Chicken with Basmati Rice. The Owner Was Very Friendly And Accommodating. Please forgive me for accidentally hitting a 1 star. I meant to give Tandoori A 5 Star Rating. I will Recommend Tandoori To My Family and Friends. I Will Definitely Be Returning, For The Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan, And A Salad.“

“We ❤️ Thornton Distilling!! We come here regularly and I just realized I've never left a review encouraging others to check it out. The food and drinks are great (obsessed with the lavender lemonade they make in the summer), the bar itself is very cool and historic and their outdoor patio is dog friendly. My husband has done the distillery tour for his bachelor party and thought it was really fun. Highly recommend!“

“Huge pizza lovers at our house and this place did not disappoint! The birria pizza is amazing! My husband and I would go back a million times for that alone. Who thought birria, like, and consommé would be so amazing on a pizza?! Also had the st paddy’s day fatty and it was also delicious! The double decker pizza with cheese in the middle was also a nice touch! We will be back again!“

“Burrito Express is great for take out. It may not have a lot of ambiance but the food is really good amd they are always friendly. I asked for fajitas with no peppers and onions for my son with food sensitivity, and they accommodated us with no issues. The quesadillas are really flavorful and filling. They are a go to for us.“

“Tour is small in distance but has an outstanding host with teachings/lessons of the South Chicago time periods. The best part is the underground cellar/well area. 10 stars for sure

“This location has friendly employees, and the food is consistent in taste and always hot.
The only problem I have is going through the drive thru - the screen that the cashier uses is absolutely filthy, disgusting.
You can see the caked on dirt and the fingerprints on all the keys on the screen.“

“The food was phenomenal! I’m from Dolton Illinois originally, but I moved when I was 13 and been living in Oklahoma ever since and when we traveled up to Michigan, we had to make a stop to crystals and it was absolutely worth it! The mild sauce is hands down the best sauce I’ve ever had! We spent only $26 and it was enough food to feed our family of 4! We got catfish and wings and they did not disappoint!!“

A total of $19 plus taxes would be $21 and they charged me $27. I asked why and they told me taxes... the same thing happened to three other people at that time and the answer was the same. “We dined in. Food was good. But, they got the order wrong and had to rename it. She ordered the Mini Steak Burrito Dinner but was given the Chicken Burrito. I ordered the taco dinner. Pretty reasonably priced, I'd say. Paid under $30. The location of this specific restaurant is conveniently located 3 minutes away from my child's school! I will be back soon. “I’ve been here several times, and the food is consistently fresh and tasty! 🐟🔥 I did have one issue with a potato that was brown on the inside and had an unusual taste, but thankfully that was the only problem I’ve experienced. The broccoli and coleslaw were both really good, and I usually don’t even eat coleslaw! 😋 My favorite is definitely the spicy cod-it’s so good! ❤ The customer service is also on point, and the guys are always friendly and welcoming. 🙏🏾 Overall, always a great experience!“

“I’ve lived around here 16 years. And to be honest , I used to avoid this location the past few years due to service issues and have driven further out of the way to go to the location off 159th and Harlem . I decided to give this location another chance lately. And truthfully they haven’t disappointed. You can tell there must be new management here. They are on top of everything. No delays . Food is fresh and hot . Workers seem cheerful and friendly . Happy this location is back ! Thank you to what must be new management and all the employees here doing everything they can to make things go smoothly again !!“

“Food is always amazing and plentiful. On April 1st 2026 around 3 ish in the afternoon the young lady that was working in the drive thru/ pick up appeared to be having a bad day. She needs to know that even if you're going something leave that at home not the work place . This is the first time I've experienced such nasty customer service simply when a common question was asked about crushed peppers and a slice of cheese pizza. The young lady needs an Attitude Adjustment and customer service 101; I thought it was a April fools joke/ prank but no one was laughing...Thank God she didn't prepare the pizza.“
