“We hosted a baptism luncheon for about 30 people on the second floor. Our servers were very professional, the service was great, and the food was good! Mary Ann, the Event Manager, was very kind and professional and helpful! The room is very cute with a historic charm. We would definitely recommend hosting your event with the Vogt House/Banging Gavel!“

“Literally one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had. The different heat levels were flavorful, and the sandwich was prepared perfectly. The service was fantastic.
Unfortunately, the chocolate shake was terrible. It tasted like I was drinking pure chocolate syrup. I wouldn’t recommend getting the shake here, but that’s not what I came for. I came for an excellent chicken sandwich, and I was blown away.
I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a great chicken sandwich.“

“We ❤️ Thornton Distilling!! We come here regularly and I just realized I've never left a review encouraging others to check it out. The food and drinks are great (obsessed with the lavender lemonade they make in the summer), the bar itself is very cool and historic and their outdoor patio is dog friendly. My husband has done the distillery tour for his bachelor party and thought it was really fun. Highly recommend!“

“Huge pizza lovers at our house and this place did not disappoint! The birria pizza is amazing! My husband and I would go back a million times for that alone. Who thought birria, like, and consommé would be so amazing on a pizza?! Also had the st paddy’s day fatty and it was also delicious! “Burrito Express is great for take out. It may not have a lot of ambiance but the food is really good amd they are always friendly. I asked for fajitas with no peppers and onions for my son with food sensitivity, and they accommodated us with no issues. The quesadillas are really flavorful and filling. They are a go to for us.“

“This location has friendly employees, and the food is consistent in taste and always hot.
The only problem I have is going through the drive thru - the screen that the cashier uses is absolutely filthy, disgusting.
You can see the caked on dirt and the fingerprints on all the keys on the screen.“

A total of $19 plus taxes would be $21 and they charged me $27. I asked why and they told me taxes... the same thing happened to three other people at that time and the answer was the same. Once again the food was very tasty but tipping would have to be an option and believe me I always leave a good tip.“

“The food was phenomenal! I’m from Dolton Illinois originally, but I moved when I was 13 and been living in Oklahoma ever since and when we traveled up to Michigan, we had to make a stop to crystals and it was absolutely worth it! The mild sauce is hands down the best sauce I’ve ever had! We spent only $26 and it was enough food to feed our family of 4! We got catfish and wings and they did not disappoint!!“

“We dined in. Food was good. But, they got the order wrong and had to rename it. She ordered the Mini Steak Burrito Dinner but was given the Chicken Burrito. I ordered the taco dinner. Pretty reasonably priced, I'd say. Paid under $30. The location of this specific restaurant is conveniently located 3 minutes away from my child's school! I will be back soon. “Food is always amazing and plentiful. On April 1st 2026 around 3 ish in the afternoon the young lady that was working in the drive thru/ pick up appeared to be having a bad day. She needs to know that even if you're going something leave that at home not the work place . This is the first time I've experienced such nasty customer service simply when a common question was asked about crushed peppers and a slice of cheese pizza. The young lady needs an Attitude Adjustment and customer service 101; I thought it was a April fools joke/ prank but no one was laughing...Thank God she didn't prepare the pizza.“
