(Jim Gaffigan right lol) I know that's just the moment of one time, one visit, so you can ignore that. The staff is on the move that's refreshing! “The concept for the menu is a unique trip along the Pan-American highway with stops at various Latin countries. Each dish and drink is thoughtful in its ingredients and presentation. The jicama salad was refreshing, but not at all plain. The pastel de choclo was a wonderful surprise of a warm dish. The frozen el arenal was seriously dangerous in how delicious it was, I can’t recommend it enough. The atmosphere was beautiful and the music was perfect. We are so thrilled to have this gem in the neighborhood and can’t wait to see what they do in the future!“

“This used to be our absolute favorite spot. My friends and I would come here several times a week, and we loved the familiar faces on the staff. Sadly, things have drastically changed for the worse. ​We noticed the staff began turning over constantly, and after speaking with some of the remaining employees, we found out why: the owner is reportedly keeping 40% of the servers' tips. Under Illinois law, tips belong entirely to the staff, and an owner taking a cut is entirely illegal. ​It breaks our heart to walk away from a place we loved, but our group has decided to take our business to other local spots that actually respect and support their employees. We won't be back until management corrects this and treats their staff fairly.“
