“Stopped in for a late lunch. We both started with stuffed cabbage soup, something we'd never heard of no less had. Ir was unique and delicious. My wife had the fried green tomatoes, and I had corned beef and cabbage with a side salad. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. The soup was especially good on a cold and wet afternoon. We had an excellent server; he was really attentive and efficient. Next time I'll try the shepherd's pie.“

“I ordered bacon only , crispy , and it was perfect , I picked up from the drive thru , it was hot , perfectly crisp , and delicious . I ordered it to take to a trunk or treat , to keep me from eating candy , or whatever was given away , kept me satisfied , only had one little snack size Swedish fish !! “I love going here, very personable, poliet, food and service is excellent. This is my highlight for travelling to Springfield. It is a soulfood place and the walley fish, sweet potatoes, mac n cheese and greens and sweet tea my favorite. All of their food is excellent and and their sweet potatoe pie that the Mom make, i ate my piece and hers. I tried not to do it. Try them when in springfield, they close at 3pm and uaually not open on the weekends but if you get a group they will open for you. Give them a try.“
“My wife and I have been to Cook's Spice Rack before a few times and have always been pleased. The food was great and the seating area was clean and bright. I had the sausage omelet with home fries and the jalapeno toast, while the jalapeno toast was good it wasn't worth the extra dollar as I didn't taste any spiciness from the jalapeno.My wife had the pulled pork sandwich, french fries with coleslaw, she said the pork was just a bit dry but still good.We certainly will be going back as you know you will get a great meal for a good price.“
“Absolutely stunned by this place. We were visiting family for a baby shower. My brother said there was a Diner nearby that he had not been to in a while. The atmosphere was truly a small town Diner. We loved it. The staff was welcoming upon entry. Out waitress was a hoot and oh so friendly. Our food was hot and plentiful. It was a very fulfilling time and meal. It is decent, mostly, but some of it gets spoilage quickly, and of course, you have a variety of people eating, so no telling where their hands have been.Plus, there is a ton of waste there, and considering how much the US wastes in so many things, it can be sickening if you think about it.Our poor waitress was tired and didn't smile until we started talking to her. The stuffed salmon, which is part of their lunch special, is my favorite. Delicious as are the egg rolls. Not sure if he’s still there but Chef Ray deserves an award. Bartender Darcey concocts a new Shot of the Month flavor each month, and drink specials/events are a constant. Also, the concept of swings at the bar is unlike any other restaurant in Springfield! “We used to live in the area and ate here all the time, but we moved away. After 19 years we found ourselves back in town and had to see if it was the same as we remembered. They did not disappoint. The food was fantastic and the service was great!“

“This is a really neat place to visit. The food is great. I loved the Horseshoe. The cheese on it was amazing!!The service was not great. The waitress was slow and messed up our order in a few ways.. We were nice about it, but the cook came out to argue that the order was correct. (Which I thought was weird since we didn't even ask for a replacement and the waitress admitted to writing it down wrong.)We would definitely come back. There is just so much to take in there. They have special events with live music, movies on a big screen, car events.There is a museum on the side of the restaurant and a giant building in the back with a courtyard for games like bags and large jenga.The parking lot is huge. So truckers and RVers have plenty of room to park there.“

“A friend and I went in to have doughnuts and something to drink. The lady behind the counter was very kind and helpful in explaining what each of the doughnuts was. There was a wide variety of doughnuts and drinks as well. The prices were very reasonable. The doughnuts were great. The atmosphere was very casual and laid back. “I've only ever really gone to this place for lunch, and most of the time It's very good. Unfortunately, they suffer from the same thing that every bar suffers from and that is a high turnover of their cooks. The one thing that doesn't appear to change is the quality of the food that they at least start cooking. They probably have one of the best hamburgers in Springfield. I would much rather go here than any fast food restaurant and pay almost the exact same amount. The bartenders have always been friendly and it's always clean. I would definitely recommend you check this place out if you're wanting a relatively fast tasty lunch at a good price.“

“Of course this isn't going to go for everyone but a lot of things in my room were inoperable. Both phones in my rooms didn't work, so some guy had to come up and fix it. Fridge made noises all night. Vanity mirror didn't work. Other than that I had a lovely stay“
