“We love historic eats and locally owned mom and pop joints like this one. Places like these are the backbone of what makes our country great. Cozy Dog Drive In had been on our must try list for a while, and we’re so glad we finally made it. After all, how could we pass up the chance to try “the original hot dog on a stick”?
The place was buzzing with activity when we arrived. We lucked out and snagged the last available booth during the lunch rush. We ordered the Cozy Basket, which comes with four Cozy Dogs and a generous family-size serving of fries. Our total was $17.58 – Pro tip: They give you a 3% discount if you pay with cash.
What makes this place special is that they still use the original batter recipe developed by the founder back in 1946. The difference between a corn dog and a Cozy Dog? These are made fresh to order! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with just a hint of sweetness in the breading—absolutely delicious. The fries were just as tasty.
All in all, it was a true All-American meal in a nostalgic, one-of-a-kind setting. Definitely worth the stop!“

“There probably was less than one chicken strip or half a chicken patty cut up for my pony shoe. I could have cooked a chicken patty myself. Zero flavor. Honestly use to love their food but the last couple trips have been disappointing.“

“I stopped by the drive-thru for the first time yesterday. I ordered the gyro plate. It is easily enough food for two people. It was fresh and tasty. The fries were crisp and they reheated well the next day. I absolutely plan to make this place a regular stop!“

“We got the special "217 Burger Week" pb&j burgers for dinner last night. We agreed that these were some of the MOST DELICIOUS burgers we'd ever eaten!!! Just amazing. We are really hoping you continue to serve these even after burger-week has come and gone. Highly recommend to anyone!“

“I had a host of family come visit from out of town. I ordered 50 piece wings from California Kitchen, it came with fries and 2 cans of pop. I was told 15 minutes for pick up and did not check the food prior to leaving. The chicken was fried very hard and wasn't good. I didn't call until the next morning and spoke to a manager. The manager was pleasant and very understanding. I was able to bring back the chicken from the previous day and recieved a full new 50 piece meal for my visiting family. He even asked if I wanted to keep the order that was messed up. Amazing customer service and the food was really good. I would always order from them, they really know how to treat their customers!! The new location is great too!.“

“This place has the best convenience of them all. And the food's good. Hard for me to find a point to criticize. Haven't had any problems at all.
Parking: Not only is there plenty of parking, they have a drive-thru and you can have service delivered to your car with a menu board right at the parking space.
Wheelchair accessibility: You don't even have to get out of your car and if you do there's absolutely no stairs to have to climb. All you have to do is find a menu board and push the button and somebody come right out to you.“

“Im ONLY leaving a 4star review, because the chubby guy that works the night shift is rude!! & a few times ive been there I have to go back & forth with receiving the drink that comes with the meal. Food is Great Manager/ Cook is very kind an accommodating & leah is has the best customer service working the register. Food Is the CLOSEST to chicago style food in the whole Springfield.“

“My pregnant fiancé was craving fried pickles & since they are a 5 min drive away from us we always choose silver 7s not only the good food but the welcoming atmosphere it was 3 mins until kitchen closed & we informed the waitress we can go find something else we didn’t want to be a bother she didn’t let us leave without a meal & was very reassuring that it was no big deal ! “The food was good as always. I ordered unsweet tea, but got sweet tea. I didn't discover this until I got home. I live halfway across town, so I didn't bother taking it back. But I was stuck without a drink, as I'm a type 2 diabetic and can't have the sugar. It was on my receipt as unsweet tea. I wish they would pay more attention to what they're doing. This has happened before at this same Taco Bell location.“

“They were testing the fire alarms but the staff didn't bother telling patrons that it was a test until after it was going off for a while. My granddaughters were terrified and were not able to eat the rest of their meal. They were traumatized by it. PLUS they didn't have sweet tea.“

“Food seemed either over cooked or stale. The fish sandwich was a little too chewy around the edges, and they skimped on the sauce on the sandwich. I did get a half hearted "thank you" when I paid, better the mcyDs, where they don't even make eye contact with you.“

“We pulled off the road in Springfield to grab a quick bite. This Arby's was just what we needed. The staff were super polite and patient as we revisited the menu. Our food came out hot and neatly prepared. The dining room and always troublesome sauce and napkin area was spotless. We even helped ourselves to some refills for the miles ahead. “This location is the most convenient for me but they always manage to do something weird. Several times I've been charged for the people behind me in addition to my order. The drinks are always mixed up. Food is good and usually hot and fresh. Just check your order and what you pay for.“

“got fries which were ice cold. had to go in and get hot ones. 3 others were waiting as well for hot fries they were exchanging the fries they got for, like i was. manager didn't try to give a hard time about it. the drive thru was very busy at an unusual time of day as well. but mcdonalds fries are awful cold so couldnt avoidto have to go in for hot ones.“

“Definitely seemed understaffed. Only saw 3 people running the whole place. So that's why it got a three for atmosphere. We had a pretty big order and they got absolutely everything right except they forgot my Mexican pizza. But when I mentioned it to them they were happy to get me one.“

“This Subway is excellent. The staff is friendly and personable and quick to serve you. This restaurant seems noticeably cleaner than most. It’s a couple miles further away, but it’s my favorite. I greatly appreciate their efforts.
Parking: This Subway is located right off a fairly busy highway but the parking is ample and a nearby traffic light makes for easy access to the highway.“
