“Staff understand requests for vegan and is able to point out which items can be made vegan and which ones cannot. Food is delicious. I usually get the Pad Thai bc Pad Khee Mao/Drunken noodles are not on lunch specials menu. Hot sauce is seriously hot, indulge carefully. ? They have a lunch special on weekdays and Saturdays: entree, fried spring roll, and hot veggie soup. It's a nice mix and pretty filling. Updated from previous review on 2024-10-21“

“A solid choice for Thai food in the burbs. Even the ants love it! There was a tiny ant roaming around on my plate. It gave the food the thumbs up and I gave it a thumb.
Our waiter was very nice and friendly. We ordered the chicken with garlic sauce, pad see ew, and the fried catfish. All were really good. Besides the ant, and the constant flying of a hungry gnat, the dining experience was good. I'm not a fan of the sticky rice and mango, but my dining partners in crime enjoyed it. The chicken in my dish was somewhat dry, but I get it... chicken is hard! Pad see ew was solid though. Overall, a good meal.
BATHROOM REVIEW: Located in the back, past the kitchen, the bathroom was VERY nice. I think it was nicer than the restaurant dining area itself. Clean, modern, and pleasant, I'd sit on that bad boy any day.“

“My family and I would go to their former Restaurant 'Thai won tai' in Crystal lake all the time. We were deviated when they had closed down, but once we found out the relocated to here we all hopped in the car and raced here! The main Waitress is one of the kindest people I have ever experienced at a restaurant. We do have a semi-personal connection with her and the owners of the restaurant. Here the restaurant is very cozy and well decorated. Everyone who help run the place work so hard every day, my family and I are very grateful for making every trip here as best as it can be. I would highly recommend this to people, their menu has a wide variety for many different diets. The food itself is well made by a few very skilled chefs who know what they're doing. Every time we get something new it becomes a favorite! The food and talent here deserves to be put everywhere!
Vegetarian options: My family and I are vegans. Almost every meal on this menu can be made vegan, and a good portion of them already are! 85% of the menu have the options of tofu and removing any non vegan products. I would highly recommend to people of all diets!“

“Our office is located near Happy Elephant. We eat here all the time! The office favorite is their incredible take on orange chicken. The sauce on the side is PERFECT for take-out. It's the only way I will order it now! We also picked up a homemade Pumpkin pie from them for an office-wide blind taste competition & they WON! The Kimball Team HIGHLY recommends this place!“

“Truly a beautiful small family business.
I come here a lot and I never see this place packed, but it should be. Sure, it’s not your charming dine-in experience. Makes you feel like you’re eating street food inside. Needs some help with the ambience but the food hits. Those women crank it out and it’s all delicious too. Best pad Thai around.
10/10 recommend“

“Tried this place with my husband over lunch. We started off with Thai Ice Tea, Veggie Spring Rolls and Crab Cakes. The starters were amazingly delicious. We then ordered beef pad Thai and Veggie pad Thai which were exceptionally tasty as well. The food was served super fresh and hot.
The service was great. There is plenty of parking space outside the restaurant. The ambiance was decent.
I would definitely recommend this place! MUST TRY! 5 stars food!“

“My love for Thai food had we visited Nathan’s Noodles and I had to say the food was great. Only tried two entrees but they were well seasoned for my taste buds. Owner is friendly and seems very generous person. When I’m in town will keep visiting and try more items on the menu!!!!“

“Seriously the best pad thai anywhere. Never had a negative experience. Can’t believe the ratings aren’t higher because this place is a GEM. The food is amazing. Cute and comfortable place to dine in, nicely decorated, though not fancy. We only wish they had an Arlington Heights location.“

“Dinner | $20–30 Service is very poor here, especially after they hired a new chef who uses garbage ingredients and does not even use the ingredients that is listed on the food description. We ordered the basil Thai rice with chicken after having a good experience the first time with nice large pieces of white meat chicken. Well sadly the second time instead of using chicken, they put a bunch of mushrooms and there are not supposed to be any mushrooms in there and there was not any chicken. So I called and I spoke with Annie, who was supposed to be the manager. She said that I would have my next mail free. So I called today and ordered basil fried rice with chicken. Instead of getting basil fried rice with chicken I got a small container of brown rice plain and then a container of something that looks like ground beef with a few basil, leafs and onion. It was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever had and it was absolutely not basil fried rice. It looked like they ground up chicken organs, and it tasted even worse. I would avoid this place at all cost because clearly they don’t care about quality and service any longer and when they make a big mistake, they double down and make the mistake again and they don’t really care to make things right.“

“i had the chicken satay which was delicious, and the pad ce ew - which, while good, i didn't really care for it. All in all, it was a delightful discovery and while i was munching away at my satay there was a never ending stream of people coming to pick up their nosh for the evening. A restaurant is not one dish and i will come back and try another of their lovely meals. i am going to go for their red curry next time.“

“I've been wanting to try this place for a long time since I drive pass it often. Today me and my husband tried it the first time for lunch. Very very good. My husband is very particular when it comes to Asian food since he is Asian himself and has his spots in the city we visit. We ordered a few things to share and try. The portions are very generous and we ordered too much as usual but we wanted to try several things. We had the shrimp soup in coconut milk and veggies ( I can't remember the name). Very good. I would come back for that. Also we had the Papaya salad. To me, this was the only thing I probably wouldn't order again. It wasn't bad, but I prefer my husbands which is hotter and a few more things in it. Then we ordered a chicken skewer with a peanut curry sauce. This was great. Very tender and the sauce omg . I asked the server if he could bring a tiny little bowl with some pho broth to taste it. My husband is a pain in the butt about his pho in the suburbs. He approved of it. That's a complement to them then haha. I ordered the drunken noodles with shrimp Thai spice level. And omg yesss! So good. I can't wait to take my older son here, he will love it. My husband got the glass noodles with crispy duck. It was so darn good and the duck was perfect. Soft, crispy but not oily. We also had Thai tea. Very good. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu.“

“Just recently moved to Bloomingdale. First time trying this restaurant. It was by far the best Chinese food we have ever had! Shrimp fried rice actually had a lot of shrimp. All the food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be making this our go-to restaurant for Chinese food.“

“To me, Thana Thai beats every other restaurant on the Lake. Everything on the menu is amazing and is super consistent. No matter how you feel about the price, to me it is worth coming back and is becoming my number one place for my favorite dishes. The Thai Fried rice reminds of my favorite place that closed down, and having found Thana Thai has filled a tremendous void.
Do not skip out on this place.
Vegetarian options: You can add Tofu to just about everything.“
