“When in the Chicago area, you must have a Chicago-style dog from Portillo’s. It’s an unspoken rule, right?! We went through the drive thru (love that at this location) and I did it all, the peppers and pickle and the full on Chicago way and (again) enjoyed the experience. The hubs got creative had a wet Italian sausage and although he enjoyed it, upon tasting mine, he wished he’d followed me and got a traditional dog. Great, fast and friendly service from the gentleman in the drive thru.

“First , the smoke and aroma comin’ out the roof exhaust pipes . Lol 😛 Known for their hamburgers , dogs , apparently everything else on their menu is good . Being a member of Chicago Italian Beefs fB page , I just HAD to try theirs . Pretty darn good ! 9.0/10 Sweet n hot , dipped , nice crinkly fries 🍟 comin’ for da ride , and a tamale 🫔 to wash it down . Nice job guys at the PP in Des Plaines !!!“

“Gpay didn't work and I had no physical card. After trying the Gpay several times, I gave up. The manager asked for the drink I was drinking back, lol. I got in the car, saw my wallet in the seat and decided not to go back in. I drove out of my way to try this food, but this experience with being asked for the drink back was shocking. #theapartmentlady“

“Great service, great food, great prices. If the Ritz and glamor of the typical eateries in wheeling and Deerfield don't fit your budget, this place is ready to serve you a hot delicious meal without breaking the bank. I can't remember the last time I spent less than $10 on a polish sausage meal, much less eating out in general, but The Dog Walk filled me up without emptying my pockets. Definitely will be a staple for me when I'm working in the area.“

“A hole in the wall with some yummy Chicago food. The onion rings were a bit overcooked and the Italian beef a bit soggy and bland, BUT the experience made it worth it. The main guy behind the counter was the sweetest and was very effecient.“

“Went for a late weekday lunch. Just ordered the Chicago dog, fries and soda. Hit the spot! More of a takeaway place for locals. No real parking, only paid street parking. A small counter to stand and eat if you'd like (I did). Nice owner.“

“Went to Little Louie’s on a whim and we loved it. We got a Cajun wrap and cheeseburger with fries. All of it was out to the table very fast and it was excellent tasting. We aren’t from the area but it will be a place we stop at when we come back thru for sure“

“Placed a larger to go order and got busy at work and couldn’t leave right away to pick up food. After 40 minutes I arrived and was expecting cold soggy food . Instead they’re remade the food for me fresh and hot . Wow what an Amazing gesture . Drive thru girls are also always so polite and helpful. Amazing job and thank you“

Their gyros are especially impressive - big in size, juicy, and full of flavor 😋🥙 The shoestring fries are always perfectly crispy and fresh, just the way we like them 🍟🔥 It’s hard to stop eating them once you start!

“I absolutely love the food here. I usually get the double cheese burger with everything including sport peppers or the Italian beef dipped with both sweet and hot peppers. The flavor for both is always great. The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars was my last interaction with the lady taking the order. It could have been the fact that they had just opened and she could have been tired, but I felt as though she was very annoyed by my large order.
As I mentioned earlier, the food is great and I highly recommend this place. Thank me later!“

“Pepperoni pizza slice and pop for $3. Hot dog and pop for $1.50. You can't beat those choices for inexpensive lunch. However, service can be slow. I miss the ice cream bar in which they dipped the ice cream bar in chocolate and added chopped nuts. That was so good. I wish they would bring that back.“
