“I usually visit here at least one time every time I travel to Champaign. Everything I order has been great. They also have a large selection of beers on tap and plenty of TVs to watch sports. Service was great as well, but a little slow to greet me at the bar even though it was not busy at all. This seems to be typical otherwise it would be 5 stars as well.“

“We took an early lunch before we hit the road so we were there when they opened the doors. They didn't even have the menu boards booted up yet. Great bunch of employees as we cut up and had a big time. Didn't realize all the burgers start at two patties but they appeared do. Great burgers and cheesy fries. Neat decor. “This is a hard review to write... so I'm going to do the compliment sandwich thing, or at least try. The staff that have stuck around are amazing... they bust their butts and make great efforts to make everyone's meal as enjoyable as possible. It's clear they have a small core of very dedicated folk. The negative is the owners rely on the tipping minimum wage to get rich while stacking 11 restaurants between Wisconsin and Missouri. Champaign Applebees pays $14/hr minimum, the owner of the Savoy establishment has no excuse for robbing their employees like this. Sufficed to say the owners are janky af. The core staff there, in spite of all the negative, still bring their A game and smiles to the table every day; they are truly exceptional. Another positive... every single thing I've eaten there has been stupid delicious. I mean, ridiculous. Worth every penny, and there are a lot of really great deals on the regular. 2-5 PM and 9- closing is the best time for deals. Burgers are 8.99 on Mondays, too. If you can find understanding in your heart and keep in mind the folks that showed up are doing the best they can with what they're given, you will have a great experience. They'd never push you to tip, but I will. Show these awesome folks some love and they will be so grateful. Better yet, if you own a restaurant hire them (you won't regret it).“
“Came for my brother's birthday. The venue is gorgeous. Very dazzling and discreet for the location. The food was stellar. The bar is very enticing and well stocked!Would certainly consider it as a calm place to lounge and enjoy a unique meal.“

“First time for me at Buford's Pub, my family had each been there before. My mom and I were greeted by a very friendly waitress and the bar dog. The bar was full, but she would get us a table as soon as she could. So we waited at the bar. We were still waiting for two others and not in a hurry. While waiting, we saw wonderful looking cheeseburgers going out to tables.It is a great bar with several tables and very friendly people. I and my mom ordered the breaded pork tenderloin- it was not only gigantic but delicious! My SIL ordered the half order of chicken nachos- it was huge! We were all surprised about the nachos. My brother ordered the Philly cheesesteak and it looked delicious.We sat and ate our lunch and had a great time!I will be back to try the cheeseburgers!“
