“I got the full tray for grilled bihari kabab and man those were a hit. Chicago people if you are wanting to have bihari kababs which just melt in your mouth this is a place to be. It is a bit on the expensive side though but totally worth it.“

“We were looking for a Mediterranean restaurant and were driving by, so decided to try this place out.
Ordered Shawarma wraps of various kinds and some falafel and Baba Ghanoush. The restaurant had 2 rooms full of tables. The rooms lack atmosphere/decor, so if you are looking for that, you will be disappointed. The rooms are just places to sit and eat. Service was courteous but seemed to be slow considering only 2 tables were occupied. The food was very good and made up for the slow arrival.
Overall, decent experience, I would go again but not as a sit-down restaurant but as a take out place.“

“So far I’ve eaten at Vasco’s twice with my coworker. The food is delicious. It is perfectly spiced, chicken is cooked to perfection and not dry. The garlic sauce is very tasty. It is very clean. The people working there are extremely nice and helpful. My coworker doesn’t know much about Indian food so she had a lot of questions. They were patient and answered all of the. The owner came to our table both times we were there to ask how things were. It is a place that you order at the counter and they bring it to your table. We are already planning our next visit.“

I visited this Kyrgyz restaurant for the first time, and everything was perfect — the food, the atmosphere, and the service. The flavors are so authentic, it honestly feels like you’re eating in Central Asia. The lagman and manty were especially delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. Definitely one of the hidden gems in Chicago! I’ll be coming back for sure. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to try real Kyrgyz cuisine.“

“I just stopped in for lunch carryout, and I am beyond impressed. I picked up a chicken tikka masala rice bowl with a side of chicken samosas and sat down to eat -- the meal became the highlight of my work day.

The rice bowl came with more than enough food to bring some of it home to the family. I didn't offer any inputs on spice level or anything, and it came out with an excellent combination of proper heat and flavor; love was found in every spoon, and I can't wait to try more from their menu. The samosas are deliciously savory and have a nice crisp to them, and come with a sweet sauce that pairs very well. Their prices surprised me! ~$16 for enough food for two people!

“My first visit to Char Kabobs was excellent! I wasn’t sure what to order because I’m not (yet!) super familiar with the cuisine. The chef? recommended the Chicken Boti wrap and it was delicious! I’d asked for it spicy and it had the perfect amount of heat for me. Freshly prepared, flavorful tender chicken, lots of onions, just the right amount of lettuce and delicious sauce all wrapped up in fresh flat bread. I will definitely be back to try more items! The gentleman serving there is always nice and extremely polite. I go there for my lunch sometimes as it is close to my work... Fast food with fast service is what I get during the short time.“
